I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
My college son used the site and forgot to cancel his subscription (he only needed it to apply for an internship). Customer service went above and beyond to credit my charge card when I explained what had happened. In this day and age of poor customer relations, it was a very refreshing experience. And he was very happy with the resume service he got the internship).
Oh my god... Over a year ago, I used my perfect resume to help create a resume I needed for a teaching position. I got it exactly the way I wanted and it was perfect for my first interview. At first, the resume is advertised as "free to create." But when it came time to print, I needed to pay for it. I was asked if I wanted to buy a membership or just pay $2.99 for the one time print. So, I agreed to pay the one time fee, printed my resume, and was done with it.
Fast forward to today, I check my bank account and I see a charge on there from MyPerfectResume for $35.80. When looking back, I noticed that they charged my account $35.80 every month for the last 18 months. So, when I called to cancel the membership that I did not sign up for, the man on the phone tried to sign me up for another membership. Are you kidding me? This company is sneaky. Do not use them. You're better off using a resume template from Microsoft word that is FREE.

My favorite part about the resume builder is the part where I typed in my job title, and all the skills to the job popped up with it. They were all typed in professional sentences. I didn't even have to type them myself, I could just add them to the description. But the most important part, was the customer service. I no longer needed the resume builder. So I called to cancel my subscription. I talked to a man named Gary. He was so helpful, & very sweet. I hope everyone gets a chance to speak with Gary. He's very good at his job.

Paid a few bucks to be able to build resume. They trick you into charging you nearly 30 bucks a month Sneaky tactics! Unprofessional
It's funny now you want me to message you- I called and basically you told me sorry couldn't refund my money - made sure this service ( which I never agreed to) was cancelled. You operate a business doing sneaky tactics - shame on you

My Perfect Resume
This site provided a good start for my resume. I ran into some techinical problems with formatting and needed to call customer support. Aaron, was outstanding at helping me solve the technical problems. Additionally, he offered great suggestions along the way, making my resume even better. We accidently got cut off and he called me right back, even after lots of time invested into my resume already. The customer service experience I had made my experience outstanding in my opinion. Without the customer service support, I would have been frustrated with what I did on my own and my inability to finish my resume well. I do not mind the 2.95 or even 5.00 would be fine to pay for my resume. I do not like that I have to cancel so I am not charged the 34.95 or whatever it is. I don't need to make a resume every month, so I find this bothersome. I just want a one time resume charge.

I didn't know they charged for a 14 day trial. I thought it was only 2.99. I checked my bank account and they charged me 24.99. I called immediately and customer service guy was very polite and patient. He was able to help me. I got my refund right away.

How do you come up when you Google free resume? Then you spend half an hour creating a resume only to have to enter cc info and be charged. And then your charged every four weeks for $25? What service did you provide for my $25 other than a resume?

We also provide the option of a 14-day trial for a small fee, which gives you the ability to print, email or download your resume and cover letters, but these features are NOT listed within the free account.
It's okay. I thought it was going to be great and then after I downloaded it to word or PDF it required a lot more work to get it to look like it did on the website. I think it would have been better to just start with Microsoft Word.

I didn't really use the resume I worked on with my perfect resume. So i was just calling in to cancel it. But Bryan provided excellent customer service and made it super easy and quick for me. My foreigner roomate built a resume on this site it was very easy and straightforward, he paid using my card, but he didn't know about the subscription, so when I got bill i called them and talked to a very nice gentleman. Horrible.cannot cancel. Set up so you will not be able to cancel. Continue to take money out of bank account after multiple attempts to cancel. As I complete this review, it is saying it is not credible, really?

I didn't agree to $35.80 subscription fee. Why would I? Once resume is completed, why would I need services again? I did call and cancel "subscription" but wasn't able to have my money returned. I guess that's the scheme. They at get $35 from God knows how many unsuspecting victims and don't really care if the subscription continues because they're getting someone else's money to cover their loss of your money. Scam.
Update: The company responded with reasons why the membership is necessary. I say this: We pay to be able to upload our resumes. Once it's in a file on my computer, I can update it there. I don't need a website to store my resume so that I may go back to it when I need to update it.

I called several times last week as I was having difficulty formatting my resume. All customer service agents were very helpful. Jonathan was very personable when he helped me close my account today. Despite issues and restrictions with the sume formatting which was often frustrating, I was happy with my end result.

The process was easy to follow. The only downside, was I did not know there was a fee until the end of the resume. I am not surprised by this however because I have used other resume products before that had similar billing.

Spent 2 hours on what was advertised as free, found out there was a small fee. Paid the fee and emailed to cancel as soon as I printed off my CV. Still taking money out of my account, I've emailed them 12 times to No response and the phone number is a dead line. FAKE FAKE FAKE! Don't bother they just want to STEAL your money. All the reviews say the same thing. I've had to get my bank to block the payments and complained to trading standards.
