On Nov 18,2024 MyVanilla lock me out of my account and stole my hard earn money off my debit card they keep saying that my information don't match what they have in they system I'm very disappointed I needed that money to pay my bills this month I'm so overwhelmed
Was sent a faulty card. After I contacted customer service they told me that they were mailing a new one. Never came... now they say they cannot track It and are no help.
We purchased quite a few gift cards, yearly for employees, and otherwise, and that won't be happening any longer due to the fact that they cannot stop theft, which is now the customers problem and after spending numerous hours on the phone literally numerous hours of waste of time they can't give solutions, and when they do give solutions, they sound irritated to even bother dealing with you when your purchasing from them it's the most insane thing I've ever seen I highly suggest don't purchase gift cards at all. Use some other way of gifting money to people because gift cards in general have become a disaster. Especially the vanilla company.!
After reading about this card, I decided to give it a try. I needed to use this card to get a train ticket out of state. After trying several times and the card being declined, I went to the Vanilla web page where it stated I needed register the card in my name to use it online. I did that and card continued to be declined by Vanilla because "Card could not be authenticated". I then tried to use it to get an Uber, again the card was denied. So I did a test and tried to buy something from several places online, and each time the same "card could not be authenticated" message popped up. To use it, you have to physically be in the place you plan to make the purchase. And since you can't withdraw money from ATM, your money is stuck on that card until you go somewhere and buy something.
Thank you Vanilla for screwing up my trip that I now cannot take. Amtrak near me does not have a ticket counter, and I needed to make my purchase of a ticket online. I cannot wait until I have exhausted all my funds from this card, so I can throw it into a fire where all the Vanilla cards should go.
So future potential Vanilla Card buyers, beware.
I was happy with my vanilla card they're good at flagging your account when somebody's trying to take the money off of it but in the end it gets hacked entirely too much my new card is not even 30 days old and it's already been hacked twice and I'm still waiting on money that was hacked off for the one before it so I'm not real happy with my vanilla anymore
Received a $50 gift card as a present and when I went to check the balance was 0. Someone had already hacked the card a taken the money barely 24 hours after it was purchased. DO NOT BUY THIS CARD. Their security is a joke, customer service useless, and no resolution given. Visa doesn't give a crap, they got their money, so it's a matter of complete indifference to them as to who actually ends up with the money. Use cash app or something else or get ripped off.
This company is a scam! Their customer service is useless and condescending. They have no problem taking your money but you will have every difficulty in the world trying to use your money. I can't use my card in store by swiping it, typing it in manually, or online. It's useless. And when you call customer service they send you in circles. Bottom line is F**K vanilla gift card!
I purchased this card to make a on line purchase and placed 90.00 on it. Right from the first time I tried to use it there was trouble with the card and it wouldn't work. Now it says it has over 200.00 being held for purchases I never received the goods. Never buy this card stay away at all costs would give less then then zero stars if possible.
The cashier activated the vanilla MasterCard wrong and I keep calling the customer service every week for three months to replace it, so far they say wait. I have the receipt and inactivated card.Next step I will claim the issue.
I live in VA. All groceries stores sell only visa/MC Vanilla. A lot of cards don't have the 4 last digits. Stores won;t help you as all sales r final and don;t allow you to open the card even in front of them prior purchase. The Vanilla customer service will ask you to upload ID, receipts, front/back of giftcard and wait for 30 days of the verdict. Must submit to them several times: *******@incomm.com and fax *******563 as they will buy time pretexting not receive the proofs
Card needs 24hrs to be activated. Card is blocked because i paid 2 consecutive orders with different amount from a same website. Customer service is from Philippines, waiting time is at least 30 minutes. Must contact via phone only because online access is blocked too. If you google and click to vanilla wrong website to verify balance, card is blocked too.
