UPDATE: I have my account back and my statements. I'm still dumping Visa/Incomm. The stress I went through on top of everything else is NOT worth it.

I have talked to no less than 3 customer service representatives behind www.myvanillacard.com and I feel so lost.The first at least ordered me a new card. The last two promised me my transaction statements from October and November in no less than 48 hours. I talked the third customer service representative on Friday 12/30/2022 and it is now Tuesday 01/03/2023. That's one hell of a wait.I'm very inconvenienced by this. I understand that a business can be very busy, but I have been waiting for 4 days now. I stated in reviews and complaints on Pissed Consumer and Consumer Affairs that is a request of my mortgage lender for the IRS.
This card is nothing but a mess. It is a hit and miss trying to make a purchase. Most every time it is declined. Even when I knew I still had almost 50 dollars left on it. THen you can never figure out what amount is on the card. I have called the number on the back which is only a recording, after going thru all the recordings and trying everything to get a live person. I believe there is no live person available ever to talk to. I've tried a number of times online also. That is a joke my card even new said not a valid card. The trouble with this card is so not worth the time and energy. There are so many others that are great. I only have this card because it was a gift from my work. NEVER EVER GET THIS CARD! You can privately email me and I will give you the company for your proof of purchase.
I leave MN and someone in New York was able to take the remaining $110 of my gift card. I filed a claim with vanilla gift card in May 2022. It takes supposedly 30-45 days. Today is the 45th and nothing. Called to check the status of getting refunded and all the guy could say is "you case is still open. You have to wait still". I would never make this mistake again. Used the card once and all the money disappeared. Customer service said call back in two days after pending charges posted even though I hadn't used it but once to see if it worked. Two days later, website is down, customer service automation says my card is invalid and wont let me speak to a real person. They don't even have a contact me e-mail. You have to write them a letter. Thieves and CVS sells these things. They are just as guilty. May as well burned the 400 bucks
I had bought a myvanilla card to pay my bills. I added $400 does not work whatsoever can use it as a chance I cannot use it in a grocery store I called a complete office seven times now and they have done nothing for me they will not help me they said it works? I can't read my daughter or pay my bills because of discord and I can't get a new one and I can't get my money back? This is bull'!. I haven't eaten in 6 days! Be responsible. You suck I never using your rip off cards anymore. I want my money and to be compensated for what you've done to my daughter and I. This is unacceptable and I'm no way a joke... I don't know how this is legal either. I had this gift card for awhile. Checked the balance prior to heading out. Said $50 dollars. Cool ok. I go to the store buy my stuff and cashier says I had $15 on the gift card. I said no it's $50. I didn't argue with the clerk she has nothing to do with it. So I get home check the balance again and there was some random $35 dollar charge from some store I didn't use. I call the Customer Service number and representative says to wait 7 days for the charge to be cleared. Probably was keyed in wrong they said. Well waited and nope. The charge is still on the gift card. I called Customer Service again and I a "Dispute" form to fill out. It's crazy how these cards can be used by another person and no repercussions. I feel bad for the friends/family that bought these gift cards to only go in the pockets of scammers and this company doesn't have a way to stop this. You would think by having Visa attached to these cards they are legit.
I just recently bought a vanilla card in hopes to buy something online. The registration failed, which led me to call customer service. I got it activated but was told I couldn't buy anything internationally. Since I couldn't get what I wanted I order something from grubhub. Countless failed transactions. When I called customer service again, I was told there was a transaction fee of 1.95. So I went back to order something cheaper but still had the same problem. I called again. I asked them what was wrong and they kept telling me they see 29 and some change in my transaction, but I only saw 24 dollars on my screen. Tell me why as soon as I go step by step with my grub hub process it actually goes through? (I'm speaking to customer service while going through the process). The person then tells me the total came up to 27.25 even though my screen shows 22.34? They are taking more money out than they lead on. Don't make my mistake. Avoid!
I tried to set a card up for my mother in law that has dementia and so we can put minutes on her phone and I attempt to st it up once they said kyc something then I called they told me she can use the card and throw it away don't buy this ever better off with greendot
Purchased the "temporary" card on September 9,2019. Didn't know it was temporary as those details are lacking until you purchase the card and read the pamphlet inside of the sealed packaging. I've been waiting on my actual card ever since. Today is October 1st! I have called 3 times, each time asking to speak with a supervisor and each time I've been declined and my requests ignored. I was told on September 22nd that my card went to the wrong address and a new card would be sent out that day. Nine days later I'm being told I have to wait until October 4th and if it doesn't arrive then I'm to call back, but I can't speak with a supervisor. I was advised on September 22nd that a supervisor would call me back, but that has not happened. This company and its agents are not sympathetic, lack customer service skills and make no concessions or arrangements to lend to a good customer experience. There is no choice for no stars hence the 1 star.
The card cannot be used for online purchases where the merchant asks for "name on the card" because there is no name associated with the card. My call to customer service was useless they just told me to try another merchant:-( Why do they advertise it can be used for online purchases? It cannot because you can never fulfill the requirements of the online mastercard transaction without having the name on the card. False advertising, bordering on scam. We haven't found a vendor yet who will take this card.

They sell this gift card and as soon as you activate the card using the number on card, they steel the money and it will show as an online activity that you never did. They will file a dispute but will not fund your money because simply they stole it online.
Please don't purchase the Vanilla Gift card! 4 times I have been given this card and every time I have problems! Always getting declined at stores and then I have to call to verify last transaction. The worst was being given a $200 gift card and when I went to use it the money was gone someone in New York area already used it online! It's a ridiculous card. I strongly suggest to get a different card. Save yourself the headache!
Nothing on the card package informing you about the hoops & loops you have to go through to use the card. Even though at the register your money locked into the card. You have to log in on a Desk top only. If you do it over your phone it locks you out of the account. Called customer service 4 times in 5 hours trying to figure this out. If you can not log in online you have to send them your id, social security, and a utility bill. Really? I had to opt to making it a gift card & not debit card. I was told it would still work online. It did not... after we could not make it work I asked for a refund. Guess what 3-4 weeks to get your money back & they charge you 9.00. Really? -5 stars for this card. Should be off the god damn shelf if you ask me...
I must use prepaid cards due to deep frying my credit in various ways. So I used a Net Spend card and it always worked. Then I bought a prepaid Vanilla Go card and it is declined when the billing operation is in any country besides the USA. This really infuriates me as the money grubbing pigs received the 500usd and the purchase cost. Bottom line is I am irked to the maximum and aforementioned greedy pigs buy their new jet.
My children were given these at christmas- usual thing- i had to buy them from them, tried using them, got fed up with them being declined over and over again! Only place that took them seemed to be the co op! Glad my children didn't have to get declined as they would not have had alternative methods to pay. Still have them as can't seem to use them- dont buy.
I was robed of 197.00 on ebay. I called the vanilla to get my refund only to hear a lazy Indian mf asking me card questions out of context. They are either sleeping on the job on drugs of fking with u. I never got my refund. I have only had 2 professional Indians on this vanilla card. But as in debt I have to use this sorry as service so the pour quality will continue to suck. I recommend use a different pay method.

If I could rate a 0 I would. This company is a scam! Purchased a card to pay my registration and the money as gone when I went to pay my bill. Company has no idea what happened and takes over 90 days to figure out how they messed up. Never ever use this company's cards. It's all a scam. Customer service is terrible. This company should be shut down. How they haven't been shut down yet I don't understand. They don't care about there Customers at all. It's all a scam!
I don't know how the heck this stuff is legal, but 90% of the people cannot register an account, and lose whatever money put into the thing. Vanilla reload is a straight up blackhole, calling their customer support and gets you a bunch of incompetent people that sound like scammers from India, this is straight up social engineering.
This company is a total scam I got a My Vanilla Card at a local Walgreens. I gave the cashier an undisclosed amount of money. And I called in to activate my card and I was told I would get a card in the mail with my name on it and it had my last name spelled wrong. And the card was made out of cardboard and not plastic.
Never use the vanilla gift card, you will Get scammed last night we were at TGI friday's and We had money, but we were gonna put the rest of it on this gift card. And the waitress comes back and says that our card is declined and it kept coming back. Decline decline decline We checked it before we left and we had over $300 On it and we can't use it. We called customer service. He answers the phone and we are both both kept trying to talk to him And he kept saying hello Hello, and then hangs up the phoneso now we are out $300 + some the reviews say that the samething happpend to them We tried calling them back this morning. And now we can't even push the option for the operator it keeps hanging up on us.
