I don't usually post reviews. Felt compelled to do so today thanks to the excellent customer service from this company. I returned an item months ago but never received a credit. Suddenly remembered today and called them. The customer service rep (Terence) was very apologetic and promptly processed my request for refund. Keep up the good work One Kings Lane!
I ordered a bed from them for a client project. It came in irreparably damaged and they refused to refund or replace despite photos of it in the box because it was more than 30 days. They didn't even bother to respond to my submission to their customer service department and I had to call to get them to tell me "tough luck" Order number 767750
Worst customer service. Empty promises or down right lies. Take your business elsewhere. Their items aren't unique.
I purchased Leo 12-Drawer dresser (2700. 00) from One Kings Lane in 2013. Within one year, one of the pulls stripped and I had to order replacement. I now have same issue with different pull, and contacted OKL customer service to order another pull replacement. I was told that they no longer worked with this vendor, and couldn't help me with replacement request. I then asked for the name of company/manufacturer to contact on my own. I was then told due to privacy laws/contract, they could not provide me this information. I was offered 20.00 credit for the trouble. What? Who cares? All I want is to use my dresser properly. Not helpful, and very unhappy customer.

THEY WERE ABLE TO CONTACT VENDOR ON MY BEHALF, WHICH WASN'T SUCH AN EASY TASK FOR THEM TO DO. I RECIEVED TIMELY EMAILS LETTING ME KNOW STEP BY STEP ANY UPDATES TO RESOLUTION. I ordered three framed pieces of art on one purchase order (OKK*******) on 3/22/22.
Shipping was an additional $179 on top of the over-$3000 for the three pieces.
Here's the problem: two out of the three pieces arrived damaged!
If I were buying the art for myself, I would not be leaving this negative review. However, I am a professional interior designer and these art pieces were supposed to be the finishing touch on a project for a client.
OKL exchanged one of the damaged items -- although this process took two weeks -- and the issue of the second damaged item is yet to be resolved, therefore, the project is still incomplete.
Obviously, I paid for this order out-of-pocket and am unable to collect my design fee until the project is completed... so I am in limbo. I contacted OKL customer service to explain the situation and proposed that instead of exchanging the second damaged item, I'd find a local repair service to make the repair (because I think we can salvage the piece), and asked that OKL refund the shipping cost in order to cover the cost of repair (plus the inconvenience to met of needing to schlep this oversized piece to the repair shop). Isn't that a reasonable request -- to ask that the company at fault do something to remedy the situation and take accountability? Four business days after my request... still no answer, just total radio silence.
Professionals -- shop elsewhere (chairish, 1stdibs, anthropologie, tappancollective) for your design needs! Homeowners decorating for themselves -- Buy at your own risk, you most likely will be disappointed by this company with poor customer service, which seemingly does not care at all about maintaining a professional reputation or their accountability.
I regret ever spending a penny with this terrible company.

I ordered a couch from One Kings lane a couple of months ago and was so excited for it to arrive even though it wouldn't come until early august, I received no update tracking etc figuring it would take a couple weeks for shipping and the arrival date soon approaching, I decided to reach out to them to find out the status only to be told the couch was cancelled with no explanation or notification, not only that the customer service was unapologetic over the situation and offered no assistance, I am beyond disappointed in one Kings lane I already committed to spend more than I wanted to on a couch right now but accepted it because I thought this was a great quality brand and have ordered from them in the past, but in times like this with covid you would think they would be grateful and happy to have customers but unfortunately they aren't and they have lost me forever as a customer, they haven't even bothered responding to messages expressing my disappointment I'm upset I spent months waiting for something and not even being told it won't come when I could've ordered from another company, if one Kings lane keeps up their terrible customer satisfaction they won't survive this pandemic, and they shouldn't, other companies go above and beyond but I won't recommend one kings lane to anyone they should change their name to One Kings Lame

I placed my third order with OKL on January 31,2021 for three items including a couch which was supposed to be delivered between May 8 and 18. One of the items arrived a week after the order placed (great). Another item was never delivered and despite multiple calls to the company for a replacement or refund, I never received either. This was despite the fact that customer service reps told me my issue had been escalated to management and I would receive an email or call from a manager - neither ever happened. Now for the icing on top: on May 19 the aforementioned couch had still not arrived so I called to inquire as to its status. I was told by a disinterested, rude representative that my couch order had been cancelled when I asked why, he advised it was due to inventory shortage. I asked why I hadn't been advised of this and he couldn't answer that either. Yesterday, on May 27, I logged in to my checking account and found a charge from OKL for $2500 - for the couch. And, to add to this ualready disgraceful customer experience, the account on which the charge was placed is NOT the card I provided for the order, it was one I had used in May of 2020. Naturally, I reported this as fraud to the bank and the debit be reversed, but in the meantime, I have to change all of my automatic debits and memberships to a new account number which will require a significant amount of time. THIS COMPANY WILL COMMIT FRAUD - DO NOT WORK WITH THEM.

Buyer beware- Don't expect to get the product that you actually ordered.
I ordered a Blue 9x13 Benton Flat-Weave Rug (and rug pad) and was very excited to find this rug even more excited to see that it was on Clearance however that excitement quickly died when the product was delivered. Instead of a Blue 9x13 flat weave product what i received was an ugly beige 4x6 pile rug. When I contacted customer service that night to get the correct product, I was asked to take pictures of the incorrect product. I did so and a day later was told that the vendor had run out of inventory and was unable to fulfill my request and offered me a discount on the ugly rug they actually delivered. I went back online to see if there were other rugs being offered that I might like I was SHOCKED to see that the product I actually ordered was once again being offered, although now at a higher price. This was a ABSOLUTELY FALSE ADVERTISING and a bait and switch. When I contacted Customer service about this and they responded back saying it was a set -up issue and there was nothing they could do but issue me a refund. We'll see how long it takes me to get my full refund... Although I have used One Kings Lane in the past I will never use it again and will be filing a complaint with the FTC and BBB.

I knew of OKL prior to the BBB buyout and even received a free candle from them way back as a contest they ran. I ordered my silver plated toast rack for my husband. We made several trips to London and he loved the toast racks idea. After I ordered, I got a hold placed on my credit card and waited for my order to show up as an email. I kept logging in to my account and finally saw my order but I kept waiting for it to show a shipping timeframe. My account also said I had no orders. Finally my order showed online and a date for delivery range. My credit card was charged but still no email with a tracking number. My delivery dates came and went. The last day of the delivery date I got a shipping tracking number. My customer service email still went unanswered, I was getting ready to call my credit card company and cancel my order. My Jan 25th order for Valentine's Day arrived today, Feb 12th.
The toast rack is made in Uk. It is lovely shiny and boxed to be a nice gift. It was very worth what I paid, I wished that communication from the company worked better as I almost cancelled my order after reading all the bad reviews and wondering if I would get a nice item or junk or if my order had even been processed.
Be aware that my order, apparently, was conveyed internally to another company that housed (owned) the item. They were responsible for the tracking number and mailing. OKL needs to give the customer a more accurate idea of what is going on when an order is placed and when it might actually be delivered. The only way to contact the company is to email them and their response time is an estimate of 3 days. I never received a reply.

The past two times I've ordered, they have not held up to their estimated arrival times. (these times are usually 10+ days after your order which is plenty of time considering the competitive market.) The last order took me reaching out twice to Customer Service. I finally received that item after 20 days! This time, the customer rep acted like I was high maintenance for requesting some sort of compensation if I don't receive my order in time.
One Kings Lane used to have good prices, but every time I Google up a product, I find it available for less elsewhere. Example: these 3 baskets I saw today on OKL cost $115.00

It's fun to peruse, like looking at Veranda or House Beautiful. The site is pretty and stylish, but I buy very little these days from OKL.
I bought a console table, painted, maybe made of rattan? When I opened the box, the fumes were powerful and toxic. I also called to see about getting some missing hardware but no luck. (I have seen these same pieces over and over.)
Speaking of toxic, the piece was... drumroll please... from China. Way too many items are, indeed, from China. Like most other shopping sites, the origins usually clearly let you know if something is from the USA, or France, or England... but the usual note of origin provided is sadly, "imported".
Enough already! Due to quality, environmental and human health, and our economy, OKL(and all retailers) should tell us exactly where parts are made and the finish product is assembled. I live in North Carolina and try to support our state's furniture business. I have also learned that "made in the USA" often means "assembled in the USA".
Does anyone have feedback on the USA-made Skyline Furniture line that seems to inundate OKL, Amazon, and many other internet decor sites? I have been please with a few headboards, even though the products are not eco-friendly. Also, I wonder what is actually made in USA, vs. assembled. (I do not think OKL uses the Skyline name... just "made in USA.)
If you have tried any furniture, I am curious about the comfort. I sat in a Skyline upholstered slipper chair once, and it was hard.
Nutshell: Fun to look, prices high, much of the goods sketchy.

Ordered a 2 piece sectional from OKL on 11/28. "White glove" delivery was scheduled for 1/18 but the delivery service showed up with only 1 of 2 pieces, and the one that was delivered had a large, noticeable stain.
OKL's delivery service (Lodeso? Watkins-Stockton? Both are listed on delivery paperwork) has been absolutely worthless. I had to call 4 times to finally be told OKL's vendor had never shipped the second piece. Considering the same rep (Veronica) promised, then failed, to call back with status multiple times, I doubt they even checked. OnTrac has previously been my low bar for shippers but I think Lodeso/Watkins now has them beat.
Have also tried contacting OKL support multiple times via both phone and email. After holding for 40min on my first call and nearly 30min the second time, I was finally connected to a support rep. Was told it may take a few days to locate the missing piece and was promisedagain that I would receive a call back with status. Today was day 4 with no call back so i'll be calling them tomorrow.
Insult to injury, 5 days into this whole experience began, i receive an email from OKL confirming my order was delivered that day (actually HALF of it was delivered 5 days ago, not that day) and asking how they did. After responding via email that my order had not in fact been delivered, that I was extremely unhappy, and needed a call from OKL support to resolve, I heard nothing back for a full week. Even then I received a generic "we value your business..." email that didn't address anything related to my order.
Since OKL and their shipper have been totally unresponsive, i'm pursuing other options thru my credit card company, potentially small claims court, etc to get a refund. I'll never purchase anything from OKL again and will actively share my experience with others so they don't make the same mistake.

I had ordered several small things with little trouble and then ordered an expensive dresser. The wrong dresser was finally delivered about 2 weeks after the expected delivery date, with them having charged my credit card as soon as the order supposedly "shipped", including a $200 "white glove" delivery fee. After several calls and emails over the course of several days, a customer service representative advised me that the fastest way to get the problem corrected would be to order the same dresser again from OneKingsLane and they would then schedule a pick up of the incorrect dresser and credit my card when the pickup was made. In this same email they told me that it might add 7 - 10 days to the process if they had to contact the vendor to see about a replacement. I wrote back to inquire if I could be assured of getting the correct item if I reordered, and they replied that they "presumed" I would get the correct item but that the same wrong item might indeed be delivered again, assuring me, though, that if I waited another month and then got the wrong item yet AGAIN, I would be given another refund. In the meantime they would have the money from both orders, pending their pickup of the incorrect dressers. I declined to float them another loan and so am waiting the 10 to 20 BUSINESS days (4 weeks?!) they told me it might take to be contacted by the shipper to schedule the pickup, after which pickup ONEKINGSLANE tells me they will "move forward" with my refund. In the meantime of course they will have had my money for a number of weeks if not months. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RETURN POLICY--IN FACT SOME OF THE WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED in many years of online purchasing. DO NOT COUNT ON GETTING WHAT YOU EXPECT OR PAY FOR.

I recently moved into a new apartment and placed 6 different orders more or less back-to-back with One King's Lane, several furniture pieces and other items like a rug, mirror and art. 4 of my 6 orders had serious problems with them, leaving me to understand, like the earlier reviews, that ordering from OKL is like rolling the dice - you will actually receive your merchandise, undamaged, only about 40% of the time. Two separate orders (a dining room table and a piece of art) were so damaged the delivery people refused to even deliver them. When I reported the dining room table to One Kings Lane, they took over a week to get in touch with the vendor, and told me I could have another table delivered in 2 months. This date was then pushed back to 3 months and I seriously doubt I'll ever see that table. With the art, I was offered no assistance with getting a replacement, I was simply told to "buy it again online if I still want it." With another order of armchairs, I called after they were nowhere to be found over a week after the stated delivery date. I was then informed that the vendor actually had run out of those chairs, despite OKL enabling me to purchase them on their website. I wonder if they were ever going to let me know this? With another order of dining room chairs, they arrived in sub-par condition (the bottom pieces of chair legs missing or broken off), but I just fixed them on my own to avoid the hassle of dealing with the company again. Bottom line, anything advertised as "only 1 or 2 left" is likely not really available, and they seem to do better with non-breakable, non-furniture home goods. It's a real shame because I love their website and items, but they are simply not exercising any degree of oversight over shady, random overseas vendors. The level of irresponsibility with no disclaimers on the website is so ludicrous (I mean, 60% of my orders, really?) that I intend to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Until they get a handle on their vendors or else prominently warn customers that they are not exercising any oversight or taking any responsibility for packing, availability, etc, they shouldn't be doing business, let alone as a "luxury" brand. What a joke. And to think they used to not even except returns! That's straight up fraud.
