I don't usually post reviews. Felt compelled to do so today thanks to the excellent customer service from this company. I returned an item months ago but never received a credit. Suddenly remembered today and called them. The customer service rep (Terence) was very apologetic and promptly processed my request for refund. Keep up the good work One Kings Lane!
I ordered a bed from them for a client project. It came in irreparably damaged and they refused to refund or replace despite photos of it in the box because it was more than 30 days. They didn't even bother to respond to my submission to their customer service department and I had to call to get them to tell me "tough luck" Order number 767750
I have gotten a few things form One Kings Lane, and over all, it hasn't been as bad as some reviewers have said. Furniture was sent on the appropriate date and arrived intact; it's good quality stuff and ALMOST as described. It's the "almost" that keeps OKL from getting more stars. They just don't get the colors right. The chair I ordered was supposed to be beige. It was a light greenish-gray. The ottoman was supposed to be made of light rattan. It was dark. You would think that these people could at least have good photography, since there is no store. I mean, that's it. There's just the photograph. You can never see the product. You can only see the picture. And it's misleading. That's just, well, wrong. Just wrong.
What is it with these websites that think they can ship stuff WEEKS after an order was placed? It is ALWAYS those store websites whose prices don't quite justify the low cost but you get suckered into it anyway... Well, throw it the vague shipping dates and unreliable delivery and well, you get One Kings Lane shipping procedure. They must wait for stuff to fall off Amazon's truck or something. Whatever your thoughts are about the selection, understand that if you buy something special for someone and expect it to arrive within a reasonable 3-4 week window, forget it Make sure you have a back up and make sure you can return that special item or someone will want it someday... when it actually arrives.

I placed an order and within a few hours decided I wanted to cancel the order. I could not send an email so I contacted someone the next day to inform them I wanted to cancel the order. Rep said they have a no cancellation policy but that he thought there should not be a problem since the item I ordered was from one kings Lane. He said he would confirm cancellation. He never got back to me. I called several times was on hold for over an hour. No one answered. I called one night and after being on hold over an hour I realized they were closed, but they were still keeping me on hold. Ridiculous. I'll never use one Kings lane again.

I haven't had good luck shopping on One Kings Lane. When I received the first order it was the incorrect item. The second order, 2 years later is, is broken in the box it came in. I immediately opened the box when it was delivered, emailed the company, didn't get a response, emailed them again and was sent an automated email saying they would get back to me within 24 to 36 hours. This company won't let you return items until you have a return authorization form from them. You only have so many days (14) to return merchandise so it they want to drag it out it makes things impossible to return. I am not shopping on their site again and would recommend other people to not use them as well.

I order furniture online for years. I just found OKL and the entire experience has been stressful and disheartening. I now have multiple charges for items I tried to cancel of over $5000 and my husband just lost his job and we're forced to sell the home we've been in only five months. They are heartless and uncommunicative and just refuse to resolve issues. The customer rep today was talking over me as I tried to explain and he was so rude. I kept asking him to wait so I could explain and he literally yelled over me and kept talking. Sad experience... I had to finally call my credit card company to file disputes. No way to do business and succeed.
I have been reading about all of the negative reviews on One King's Lane and I had to write a review! I have ordered many, many items over the past few months. I returned one item because it did not work out and had to return one item since the wrong item was sent. Both of these returns were handled beautifully and seamlessly. I LOVE this place! Everything I have purchased has been exactly as described and in some cases even better! I cannot say enough great things about OKL and have told all of my friends about it. I could do all of my household/decorating shopping there. Cannot say enough GREAT things about it! I will continue to shop there and think it is one of the best places ever!

Today, customer service reached out to me and took steps to mitigate my dissatisfaction. It took almost 2 months to receive the order that I had place! I received a full refund for the shipping costs as well as a discount for the dressers I had ordered.

I purchased two velvet slipper chairs and and then read the reviews so I was concerned. However, my expectations were exceeded and my experience was very positive.
I ordered the chairs, received updates and good communication on the delivery window, and the order came a few days before it was expected. The items were very well packed to protect them from damage. The chairs were in good shape, they were made in the USA and they they are of fine quality for the price I paid. They are exactly as described and they meet my expectations. So I would say my experience is positive and I would. Buy from then again.
I ordered a dresser and paid extra for the delivery and light assembly. When they arrived at my house they advised that was not the case and because they broke the contract ( i didn't have a way to get the furniture out of the box despite the fact that i paid extra). I told them to cancel the order. They still charged me $500 and i have NO furniture. The furniture was $1000. How is that possible? I need my fully refund since i never received the furniture and THEY broke the contract. I took a picture of the contract
I saw a coffee table/side table on this site and the brand name "society social" was visible in the photo. I googled the table and it costs more on one kings lane than it does when you buy it from the retailer. The retail price it listed was not a real retail price.
Order the Owen Slipcover Side Chair, Floral Sage & I have never seen a more poorly made, expensive chair. $345 a piece. I ordered 4 & have not been able to assemble a single chair. Holes do not line up to screw in, no extra parts to use after stripping the strews because you are trying to hard to get these to work out. Non-returnable. Yes, I read the instructions. Yes, multiple people have tried. No, I will NEVER order from One Kings Lane again.
Horrible product. Stay away. I paid $469 (each) for two of the Winston chairs. I loved the color and the lines from the image online. There were two red flags that I should have paid attention to: 1) the fact that there is not an option for providing customer reviews for this product and 2) that is was a final sale. The quality of this chair is horrible. The fabric on the back of the chair is poorly attached with Velcro; it ripped when I was assembling one of the chairs. They are also extremely uncomfortable. The chairs look pretty but that is about it. Now I'm stuck with two chairs for decoration.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY... Very misleading... I bought a retro marquee lighted sign. Said to be "created" by Mercantile Designs in California... Found it the signs are mass produced in CHINA... Mercantile designs created the design, not the item... what a joke!... the signs are shown with the demensions that are actually twice the size of the actual product... Contacted customer service and they said they started the return process... guess what nothing!... I actually like the sign... don't like that I could have actually made this sign in my garage... and that they are mass produced in CHINA... not by a local craftsman as advertised... They are also still selling other signs made by the same company with the misleading/lying claims..

I bought an (expensive) piece of made-to-order furniture and waited the 8+ week lead time. When it was finally delivered, they brought the complete wrong piece (wrong fabric, wrong style, etc). I refused the delivery, as the delivery people told me to do, and called OKL to figure out what happened. The man working on my case told me he'd be in touch but never followed up so I had to keep calling to find out what happened. They said the vendor claimed they sent the right piece. It has been an absolute nightmare.
I also want to note that when I was considering this piece of furniture I called them twice to ask a few questions about the fabric and style and the people I spoke to clearly had NO knowledge of fabric/style/etc. I had to explain what an English Arm (for a sofa) was to one of them.
ALSO, I recently saw that they were trying to sell a coffee table that I bought from Pier 1 for $100 (7 years ago) as a "vintage" piece for $850.

I am a designer and retailer. Many of my clients I work with of course like to shop on the internet and that's all good. What makes me angry with internet retailers like OKL is that they mark up the prices past resonable retail, then throw a discounted price on an item and then maybe a time limit to buy, etc to push buyers. Their sale price is usually the same or very close to my retail price in my store or what you can locate if you shop the internet. The "have to buy before they are gone" is sometimes misleading. I have had so many clients send me pictures from OKL and like to compare against the resonable retail. Comparing items on the internet is sometimes difficult because OKL can change the name of the item either by being off a letter or renaming the item, so very hard to compare pricing. By reading all these not so good OKL reviews they have other problems!
I have tried and tried to stop their emails. I did complain to them that unsubscribe does not stop them. I told them this was harassment and now the emails arriving are several a day. I will never ever buy a product from them. I am convinced they are now sending them on purpose. Horrible company. Any ideas?

I ordered a daybed. The color I wanted was u available but I settled for a similar color. For $1800 approximately, the mattress was a cheesy piece of foam with a plastic liner. The cover for the mattress had sippers which were too short and broke when I tried to remove the cover. Merchant asked for photos of broken zipper which I sent. That wasn't good enough. I had to send cover back before they would replace it. Months went by. You can't call the company without waiting on hold for 30 minutes, minimum.
Beware. Everything looks nice but it's not by any means. Zero stars.

I ordered a ceramic stool and paid over $300 because of the navy color. On the same day I ordered a white one on Wayfair for $125. One Kings Lane took over two weeks to deliver. BEFORE it was delivered the piece went on sale for 20% less. I contacted OKL to ask for a credit. Even though the box was never opened they advised they would not give me the sale price. Neither would they allow me to return the unopened box in order to request a new order at the lesser price -- unless I paid a 15% restocking fee and paid for postage. Honestly, for the $50 credit they just cost themselves a customer. We have just moved into a new house and would have bought alot more, but their customer service doesn't warrant it. Save yourself upset -- there are MANY other online sellers to chose from. I will never use OKL again.

I recently ordered luxury Belle Epoque 700 thread count sheets which I have had before from another store. All I can say is that these are likely defective knockoffs and this company does not do what is right. After just a short time, the fitted sheet ripped. And after multiple emails, I'm told they can't refund, replace and they are out of warranty and have no policy on this? Create one. This is not the way to do business. I'm a business owner and I'm esclating this to the payment processor. I jumped through all the hoops required and sent pictures and am told, I'm sorry? That's ridiculous.

I bought a bed which took weeks to arrive with no news from the company. Built it up and it has to be the most ridiculous thing ever! I order an item and cancelled it within 24 hours. I never received the item and was still charged for it. I have contacted the company for a month now by email and phone for a refund. They keep saying they are working with Finance on a refund. I have never had a company take over a month to refund me. This is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. I would avoid this company!

The absolute worst experience with One Kings Lane. Their customer service is atrocious. They do not value their customers at all and do not try to rectify the situation. There was an issue with billing as well which was not addressed on their order status whatsoever and the customer service agent did not acknowledge if was OKL's vault.

I purchased an item after being lured into thinking I could pay $9.95 for shipping and not have to pay shipping again for 30 days for future orders. Not so. I went to order more items...$9.95 for shipping. Not worth it.
This review is for the vintage/ antiques listings only. One Kings Lane has their vendors sign a pledge that they are giving the consumer a true deal on the listing. Dealers are clambering to get on because they are actually raising the prices they sell the item for in a retail setting by as much as 100% to falsly discount it and pay the commission to One Kings Lane. A recent sale of a sofa is a prime example. He sofa was in a retail store for 1200. 00. The dealer listed it on One Kings Lane for a retail priceof around 3200. 00 reduced to 2400. 00. The sofa actually sold to some poor sole who then payed for velvet glove delivery to there home. I'm all for making a profit and a buyer should be savvy, but don't bill yourself as a discount site when this seems to be the norm in the antiques and vintage listings.
