Why am I locked out of games I've already paid for? Why am I constantly signing in every time, although it's offline? The person who designed online requirements and constant updates for finished offline games should take a long walk off a short pier (to be PG).
EA has disabled my log in because it has been a while since I have played. I moved from Pa to TN. It took a while to get the computer set up at the new location. After having purchased several hundred dollars worth of games over the years, they are all lost because EA killed the old log in. I have a different IP so I cannot change the old email address. And the MOST frustrating thing about these thieves, they do not have any customer support. I still have the actual game on my computer, but without an EA log in, It blocks my access to the game.
I am forced to use Origin to launch The Sims, and first of all I don't understand why that's necessary. It's downloaded on my computer, all the files are there, so why do I need some nonsense third party app to launch a game? Maybe there is some programming bs I don't understand, but either way it's so tedious. Especially when it randomly decides you need internet for it to function. Half the reason I have The Sims on my laptop is so I can play it without anywhere, especially without internet.
Origin also likes to randomly sign me out even though I have the option to stay sign in marked. And then I couldn't remember my password, and to change it I can't even click out of the window that got me there or else the whole action is cancelled.
Origin is a waste of space, I only have it because I've been forced to, there are no redeeming qualities, even the user interface is incredibly ugly and awkward.
I have purchased many games for them that I can now not access. THey have blocked me from my own account because I have moved abroad. To let me back in they say we need your I. P. address then they say no sorry we can't help you. So thanks for stealing hundreds of pounds from me you no good dirty thiefs.
Wanted to buy a game through the site, but you couldnt log in because of a bug. The game was on sale. Been checking every day to log in but never worked. Today I could finally log into the website, but guess if the game was still on sale? Nope.
For one i love sims 4 i adore i spent my own money on buying it on your orgin app and then one day i got loggedout and lost everything now i know it took a very long time to make this app but the reason i give it on star is because of me getting logged out P.S. i would love if you maybe could find my account if you guys do that sorta thing bye love you to the moon and back...
I was really pleased with the help that i got when i opened my account. The staff was very helpful and professional. They answered all my questions that helped me to choose the electricity plan that suits my usage.
EA has failed miserably. Origin is supposed to be compatible with steam, it isn't. Origin is supposed to run a game when you tell it to, it doesnt. When you forget your password and reset it? That doesnt work either, it finds a way to open the exact same page for resetting passwords over and over without ever giving you a chance to put said new password in. It stays on in the background, even after you close it, and stops your PC from shutting down until you manually find and close its background processes. Its god awful and regularly fails to do its basic intended purpose. Dont buy EA anything, especially if it requires origin. You will spend an hour trying to get a game you bought running instead of playing it, and by that point you wont even want to play the damn game.
Do not install this onto your computer if you do not plan to keep it there for the rest of your pcs existence. The app refuses to uninstall and it still runs in the background of my pc. Every time I log onto my pc I have to go to task manager to stop it from running. I even try daily to uninstall it to no avail.
Once upon a time you could buy you games from EA and you owned them, you had access to them whenever your adorable little heart desired. Then one terrible day Origin came along and ripped our games away, it said "you can only have these if you have internet connection" but then we desperately try to login with the correct credentials and it screams "THOSE ARENT CORRECT!" And you cry because they are, then finally, in a moment of great desperation you try to reset your password, but what's this? It never comes, request as much as you like you'll never be able to reset your password and you'll never be able to play the pretty skeleton that is known as The Sims 4 without that previous internet connection. In conclusion, Origin is a joke, it's full of so many unforeseeable problems it's just crazy, but what option do I have? No really, is there another option? I'd do anything to be able to play the Sims with out any disgusting Origin interference.
Their customer support is outsourced to India and, since it is not double checked by any other authority, they are covering their own mistakes without giving any info or at least details on how or why some accounts are banned.
They banned my account for two weeks (after a year of not logging into the Origin app or any of their games) for an avatar that was not even mine, it was copied from their own list.
When I asked for details they kept answering that the previous decision was right. Their answers are just copy paste from a list of answers without any details or info on what the real problem was.
Because of this idiotic ban policy, I didn't had any kind of access to my payed games since the banning affects the entire app and no login is possible.
Beware of this firm and especially stop buying their games if they are strictly linked to the Origin app. You will not be able to ever access any of your bought games if a wrong ban will occur and you will give them money for nothing.
The tards who manages this launcher constantly changes your password without telling you. Also their $#*!ty launcher oftenly wont launch due to the 5$ programming and degenerate coder who made it. Also the tards decided to not remove EA and Origin Launcher so if you have both you will have to uninstall everything for anything to work due to their $#*!ed degenerative way of handling their launchers. NEVER buy a game running or either platforms and the only recommendation i can make towards this $#*! launcher and $#*! company is to maybe IP track the developer and majorly injure them. 0 Stars.
BEWARE! Completely outsourced to India. Will not refund my Son's money even though the game would not work. Terrible customer service and technical chat area. Did the troubleshooting and they tried to say my computer was compatible even though the drivers would not install! Spent 4 hours on chat trying to get a refund. No such luck. DO NOT do business with this company! *** update *** When I finally spoke with customer service instead of chat, we were able to get the refund.
I hate origin so much. It has caused so many problems for me and I've tried contacting customer support multiple times and what they tell me to do never works. I can't explain how much I wish I had spent my money on games that don't use origin.
Complete garbage. No players online. 25 minutes trying to connect to a game of Madden and I've had enough I'm canceling this $#*!! Worst servers I've ever seen in my life. They should not be allowed to charge money for this crap!
Like so many have already stated origin socks. The people who run it just don't care for the gaming community else they would put some time and effort into it. For me I find it sucks due to most of the time just opening it it has no idea I have ever existed before. Upon activation it 90% of the time can't remember my email or password even though every time I click the "remember me" which is basically something you click to make yourself feel good I guess. It's updates are never good. I really only got it for C and C and Battlefield, else I'd be completely for using steam. It seems to load games alright, but working through offline mode can give me a headache at times trying to load the game library. All this said I used to have a crappy laptop and figured that was why I was having so much issues with it and come to find out my really nice PC has the same issues. Kinda wish someone could win a lawsuit and they could go bankrupt and all there stuff could be bought out by steam and we could get away from the nightmare that is origin.
Games are great... until you have technical issues. After multiple calls over the course of a week, my issue still isn't resolved. So, today, they finally tell me they're going to elevate my ticket. But with an elevated ticket, they will only communicate through email. Which could take days to get resolved. I was told I'd get the first email in a matter of minutes, it's now going on two hours. Assuming that the first email resolves the issue, which I'm sure it won't, I have already not been able to play my games for a week. One phone call taking a few minutes could quite possibly resolve the issue, but they will not communicate by phone. Meanwhile, I have a fortune in games that I can't play. Their tech people are lazy and their customer service bites the root.
Worst company ever! Had no internet for 5 days and phoned them up over 30 times and been on hold over 2 hours on each occasion! Still dont know what's wrong with it! Please avoid its cheap for a reason
I Have always hated origin / have always had issues with it. Literally only use it for sims. I have been logged out 3 times over the years having to buy games again as they wont let me back in. Would hate to think how much money ive spent through them and its all wasted. I only play sims like once a month and origin is not worth the hassle.
Don't use origin or ea for anything. They are a very unethical company. They will make charges on your account then tell you that you did it and refuse to fix their mistake, that actually makes it fraud. The first support person i talked to on they phone lied to me and said its not possible to get my stolen money returned. They charged 99 dollars to my account and changed my subscription for no reason. I fought with them for hours on the phone to finally get a a so called specialist to agree to return my money then they don't do it. It seems that you can't even remove credit card info from there site. Stay away from this this company and their games, you will get ripped off.
Answer: No longer. They have you by the neck if anything goes wrong.
