Sent the wrong part, muffler for 08 Mazda 6. Hurricane, and insurance delays on auto body repair, rear end hit left rear muffler had to be replaced. Would not take part back because of 30 day return policy. About 45 days. What business would not make an exception in these circumstances? One that has No Business sense or customer friendliness. Obviously short sighted and Not Recommended
They are scammers. Ordered 2 hood grills and all the plastic brackets broke during installation. Product came assembled already with no instructions manual. They won't refund or replace
The product, stating that I incorrectly installed it and told me I should have gone to a repair shop, totally underestimating my capabilities. I have done very difficult jobs in my car, including transmission, brakes, etc, so I am very capable. These are scammers. They sell you flawed parts and keep your money. BUYERS BE AWARE!
Parts geek return policy makes customers pay for their mistakes. I bought c. V axle. The part was wrong and faulty. The shipping would have cost me more than what the part cost, so I'm stuck with scrap metal. You can never talk to live person, unless you want to buy something, after that good luck
Working on a '96 Lexus ES300. Ordered two control arm kits and drive axles. Parts came and I got started. 1/2 installed when I realize I'm missing a ball joint. Called the 800 number and swam through their automated menus to finally reach a person. Explained my problem. CS Rep requires that I send the stuff back instead of just sending me the missing part. Stupid people with a stupid policy. Be careful ordering from these guys!
Do not buy at partsgeek.com as the website has wrong information and leads you to buy a part that actually does not fit to you car. In my case, the website led me to buy specific parts that would fit my car make and model, then I bought it but it actually didn't fit and when I contacted PartsGeek customer service, they just didn't care and didn't pay for the shipment back so I can get refunds. I now see that PartsGeek has very low reviews and their customer service is below average.I wish I knew before buying from them. Do not make the same mistake and look for another more reliable parts supplier company.
It may be partly my fault I didn't noticed their outrageous shipping charges. They fool you into a low price just to stick you 200 % markup on shipping. Shameful old way of doing business.
Shop around your part number, you'll get a much better price, including shipping from many companies.
Ordered parts for a customer and paid for fast shipping. On of the parts was a seal that goes with the other parts. Customer service cared, but when they escalated me to a manager he didn't care a bit. Customer had to rent a car for another week while I ordered somewhere else. I can't trust ordering from parts geek. They seem to just be a broker for other parts houses and have no responsibility for what is shipped. Spare yourself the hardship and order somewhere else.
Part geek must have some lazy people working for them no since of urgency. Place and other over a week ago said part was in stock. So, I expected to be shipped with the 3 day to get a tracking number. I've called the company multiple times but they just say it awaiting shipping. My Lord this was the worst mistake ever I should have paid full price for all the hassle.
I ordered two radiators and a handful of related parts from PG. The first radiator was clearly stated to fit my 1986 Jeep CJ-7 4.2L six cylinder. It would not. Return freight was on me...$61.00. The second radiator, verified by the phone attendant and his manager "Dee Dee" also proved to be incorrect. Yet another return freight fee was my obligation... along with shipping to return the incorrect radiator hose. They did refund charges for the parts however not for shipping either direction, leaving me with more than $180.00 in expenses for the privilege of delaying repairs and dealing with the frustration of their consistent errors. I can accept that sometimes incorrect parts are shipped but I cannot in this day and time accept a company policy that insists upon forcing the customer to pay for their mistakes. Were there a lower rating than 1 star I would offer it here. There are many other and better options.
Ordered shocks over a month ago. I am retired and on a fixed income.
They still are not here. Ended up getting someplace else! They will not refund
My money as well.
Worst place EVER! Never Again. Buy at your own risk.
Going to take this to a higher level and maybe sue them and call
The better business bureau.
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
