This company has NO customer service, and when you are able to speak to someone, it sounds like a stoned moron drinking a Budweiser. They sent me the wrong part, because they listed it wrong. I told them if they went to the actual part maker's website, they would be able to see the part the sent me is for a completely different car, but they still want me to pay return shipping, and wait up to 30 days for a refund? Screw this!
Also, calling them is hell. You wait on hold for 10 minutes while this awful generic guitar riff plays on a loop with a congested dude repeating the same "thank you for holding" message over and over again. Then, your call is automatically disconnected after they redirect you to the website to wait up to 48 hours for a general response to your inquiry.
I ordered two sets of brake pads from Parts Geek. I only got 3 pads is the shipment in a shipping bag. The bag was torn and was wrapped with clear shipping tape.
But there were no boxes in the bag that would have held the pads. It dawned on me that the individual pads "could" have slipped through the hole, but the boxes wouldn't have fit through the taped over hole.
It was obvious that Parts Geek just threw a few loose brake pads in a ripped bag, wrapped it in tape and shipped it.
I tried calling them 8-10 times without anyone picking up the phone. Then sent emails. They never responded.
I feel bad for all the other people that use them without checking them out first - just like me.
They run a scam. They don't sell auto parts.
Ordered a steering rack. Website said it fit me car. It did not. It was too short. The main barrel was too short to take the yoke for the second mount. Rod ends were too large diameter to accept the tie rod ends. I got a return authorization no problem but have to pay shipping, probably about 50 dollars. It was not my mistake! It was their mistake. You can find all the parts you need on amazon or your local parts store and not have any return problems. Avoid this business!
They clearly sent the wrong part. Ordered a fender for the right side, they sent the left side. They will not pay for return shipping on their own mistake. How they get away with being a shady company. That would be over $320 in freight costs both ways for me to pay. Box said it was the right part, but inside was the wrong part. Conformation said the correct part but wrong part sent. You need to read their policies before buying anything from them. And when you do read it, you won't want to buy anything from them. You can't talk to anyone they don't answer the phone. We won't send back because of freight cost, and who knows if I'll even get my money back on the part cost.
VERY disappointed in PartsGeek customer service. The radiator I ordered came in a damaged box, but PartsGeek said I would have to pay the return shipping. So I opened the box to inspect it, and found that they had shipped a cheaper substitute part from what I ordered, but they would not refund the difference between the cost of the cheaper part vs what I paid. Email exchanges with customer service were short and abrupt, and it took several calls to get in touch with a manager, who would not back down. Will not be ordering from them again.
I was sold a pair of struts, after providing the year make and model. Thats what i was sold, my mechanic came over they are too short. I called up and they tried to sell me the same pair, i said you not listening. The car is a sedan base model not 4matic. He said oh sorry we don't have that part. I was taught if something is too good to be true it is garbage
I ordered a heater core and Evaporator core for my Lexus es350. Heater core leaked right after it was installed but I could not ask for a refund because it was over the 30 day purchase date of August 4th when I installed. I will never order from them again!
Ordered brake kit - pads and rotors for my 12 year old truck. Rear rotors and all pads correct. Front rotors for wrong vehicle. Had to purchase locally for safety and inspection. The CS rep wanted me to return everything. After 4 days of back and forth emails got an RMA but they wanted pads and rotors. 2 more days they finally relented and got new RMA for just the rotors. Had to pay for shipping return even though it was their error. I need more parts for upkeep but won't be buying from PartsGeek. Too expensive.
Ordered a denso reman alternator for 09 vibe 2.7 as soon as I put it on it whines just like the one I sent to them major pain in the butt having to send the alternator back calling them now I do not trust this company cost me labor and time..
In the fine print it states, "I got a wrong part, who pays for return shipping?
We do not offer return shipping reimbursement regardless of the party at fault. All returns are freight prepaid by the customer." When they send the wrong part, YOU pay for return shipping. Go elsewhere, as they repeatedly send the wrong part several times in a row.
Answer: Because they're unprofessional, unethical, communist fuckin jackasses!
Answer: Parts geek had the rudest and most infuriating customer service I've encountered ever.
Answer: You'll pay plenty for shipping and if they give you the wrong part, you'll pay to ship it back. It's in their terms. You pay shipping both ways, regardless of fault.
Answer: Because they are either crooks, or they have some nut in the warehouse grabbing whatever and sending it to you even if it's wrong wrong wrong!
