What was once a decent site is now 60% scammer profiles and just getting worse. Avoid, Avoid its not in any way worth paying for.

My most favorite dating website, bar none! If only due to the fact that EVERYTHING IS COMPLETELY FREE! View profiles (And see who's viewed you); Add favorites; Send messages & Chat. It's all there, and it's all FREE! In my 4 years as a member of POF I've met with 20-30 different women, and dated 5. I even met my current girlfriend there soon after joining, but we didn't physically meet until months later. We've been together ever since!
A wonderful site, easy to navigate, and just fun!
I HIGHLY recommend it!

I've knocked 2 stars off of my original 5-star review, because the owner of PoF has apparently smelled MONEY and has started charging for a lot of features on the site which used to be free. You can still freely message people, and can freely read messages, but if you want to know whether someone has actually read the message that you sent you must have a paid membership. You also can no longer hide your profile unless you pay. Which makes no friggin' sense! Why would you PAY so that people can't see your profile?

Like i said its DESRIMINATORY towards MEN! I can PROVE it, first takes 2 people man and woman, each set up account, let the woman go off on the man and the man DO NOT RESPOND just report the message WATCH WHAT HAPPENS UR AZZ WILL GET BOOTED SO FAST! Woman can also say what they want in headline and profile from profanity to sexual comments( which it states CLEARY youll be permenantly kicked off) if you report thier profile AGIN they will BOOT YOU MEN trust me i know my profiles have simply stated i dont date toothless users cheaters and liars well sum1 gets butt hurt and there IS NO VIOLATION in that kinda profile but as soon as a woman doesnt like your answer or you ignore her or report her YOUR DONE THIS IS A P. O. S SITE lol MEN STAY AWAY!

Shockingly bad iface to register & a terribly complicated contradictory set of registration questions about you? The site is one of the most well known BUT not for the right reasons, im married getting divorced after many years to the same partner and all i wanted to do was to find friends locally to me as mine live at the other side of the country BUT NO! POF dont allow you to signup to be friends with people do they? So i had to lie on my application form which i didnt like one bit and when it came to the questions all 75 of them (Multiple choice) & here is three examples of the CROCK you have to answer:

Q 59: i cant get to know everything about a love intrest fast enough?

Q 69: i am drawn to other for their strenghs especially the ones i dont have?

Q 72: few people love me other than those i know online.

Seriously DONT use the site more so now they are charging...(How dare they) there has been so many relationships ended from the site people arguing people falling out abuse... the list is endless... If you want to find a partner LOOK closer to home... start by going out and really meeting people actually in person... Hope this helps.

They will delete your profile for any number of 10 reasons without giving any warnings. If you accidently type a word like "sex" in a initial email message to another person on the site. You will be deleted and never given a reason or warning. Recently, I was viewing a womans profile and she listed 7 reasons that status terms really mean sex. E.g.(Hangout partner=Sex and buying dinner, or Serious relationship=Sex and no buying dinners) and so I wrote this woman and mentioned her profile comments on sex and statuses. The next morning my profile is completely removed from POF... is a rude and nazi type controling company with only intetest in their money whore operations. No sensitivity for peoples feelings. They hurt not only the person that violates their over bearing rules, but they hurt the woman I emailed. I'm sure she wanted to message me back, but can not do... I'm deleted and again... you are never sent a reason or a warning. POF seems like a Canadian scam operation. Imagine people who pay a yearly subscription to them... are they deleted as readily as well. Total loss of their purchase?! POF claims to be a respectable company. That is furest from the truth. I only hope Karma gets this Marcus guy soon, so I can revel in his well deserved misery.

I would sum it up, very average women who are very picky

I did speak to a few but they had the personality of a snail and I only got one word answers, not very intelligent at all. Another one told me she had hundreds of messages and had been on loads of dates but no joy (the women must see it like a conveyor belt of men and they wont rest until they find their perfect man) so you already competing against thousands of men,

A lot of the women use text speak and swear in their profiles, not the type you really can see anything long term with. When you get a message back from someone who is 32 that's says "I am good wbu wuu2?" then you know its a sewer

It did make me smile, I was on it a few years ago 2012 and It didn't take me long to see old faces with the exact same pictures! I had to chuckle when one overweight woman who was 5'4 said in her headline Only guys 6'2 or over. The entitlement/pickiness is laughable and no way would they dare have the brass neck to act like such a diva off the computer when they would get ignored by 99.99 of the guys

Oh if you do join get ready for a ton of meet me from fake profiles who only want you to click on some dodgy adult site

Too many thick women, too many picky women, too many illiterate women, too many women with issues and too many women who are social misfits. Apart from that I higly recommend

Don't fall for this hook, line, and sinker! Yes, it's me again. I'm well known by now as someone who was robbed by one of these sites. The main thing that they all have in common is that your credit card information is what they're after. Most of that is going offshore somewhere, and in many cases, overseas. Mine was going to Cyprus. Once your trial membership times out, they'll auto-upgrade you to a full paid account without you knowing it. Then they register you for other scam sites and start charging your credit card for them. Fake profiles. Fake pictures. Mostly stolen from Facebook, Tumbler, or porn websites. They suspend or keep womens' memberships pending and allow men to try and contact the fakes. Someone from the site then contacts you with a fake message. Before I could stop them, they were charging me for 3 different sites! Over 150$ in registration charges! Had to cancel my credit card and close my checking account to get rid of them and good luck with trying to get a refund from them. All because I didn't do my homework and READ THESE REVIEWS! This is where you, the reader comes in. Always do your homework before joining any of these sites. If you smell scam, it probably is one. Most people won't admit to being robbed by one of these sites because let's face it, it's like robbing a drug dealer. Who's going to admit to being taken while looking for a cheating wife?
