I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.
Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!
Price line does not even deserve a 1 star. During this horrific time in the world you can not reach them by phone or any other means. The US has said no traveling and my destination will not let you in. Priceline is no where to be found to help resolve my issues. Will NEVER use them again and will recommend every one to do the same.
I would Never use Priceline. Express deal was wrong location and they won't refund and blamed the hotel and hotel and Priceline making jokes now. Over $75 for a power user. Lol okay Dave at Radison In Houston and Priceline customer service for Text to show world your should be banned from offer any rooms
Tip for consumers:
Do not use and book with hotel direct

None I lost $75
I booked a hotel for Chicago and tried to use the coupon that they sent to me for 10% off. The price online reflected the discount, the debit card charge did not. When asking Priceline.com to fix my coupon, they claimed that it was beyonds their system's capabilities and instead offered me a 15% off coupon on my next stay. They sent me a 5% off coupon, which expired in four days. Their customer service is horrible for a $34 credit. I will pay $340 more somewhere else to avoid giving these thieves one more cent. Beware.
Tip for consumers:
DON'T use this site. It may SEEM less expensive, but it will cost you everything (including your dignity) in the long run.
On the website they had a hotel for a great price listing free wifi. But on receiving my itinerary,
It showed only in public areas. Neither Priceline nor the hotel (Days Inn) would approve the
Cancellation. This is a misrepresentation. Wifi is a common expectation just like the bed and bathroom.
I spoke with Johann at Priceline and they was refused to cancel based on the misrepresentation. It is going to be where we need to call the hotel first to see what is true before making a reservation.
We made hotel reservations through priceline for a non-smoking facility, with a pool, and continental breakfast. We got there and it wreaked of cigarette smoke and they said the pool and breakfast were down. We told them to cancel our reservation and we'd find another place to stay and priceline has decided to not refund us because we didn't say the word "refund" while we were cancelling our reservation at the gross hotel. I'm not into playing stupid games like this, and I expect better from Priceline. Shame on them and I will never use their service again.
Tip for consumers:
Use anything else but Priceline

We went to a new hotel and had a great stay
I got a rental car for New Orleans. Little did we know a hurricane was headed for Louisiana., They would not give a refund or credit. We lost over $200 to them. Scammers! Do not use them! You'll lose your money, even for an act of God.
Will not work with customer. Family emergency with police reports and all documentation. NO HELP! All agents are located in the Philippines and speak broken English and if you asked for a US rep... no can do! Absolutely horrible customer service. STAY AWAY! Call the hotel directly!
Beware of the hidden charges after you book using priceline.com
I booked a rental car from Economy car rental in Hollywood Florida through priceline.com and at the car rental desk, they forced me to pay 70% of my rental bill as waver, knowing that i provided my own car insurance and I paid in full in advance online, because i have a Canadian driver license and not American driver license.
Priceline is a huge joke. They have false advertising and dont have any concern for their customers. They will take your money and screw you over. It says free cancellation and says so many more lies. I paid over 200 dollars for my rental with my debt card but when I got there to pick up the car I was told even though I have already paid and had the card on file that I paid with and even had the card with me I was denied the car and now priceline is refusing to give me my money back. They are the worse travel site ever and their customer service skills are the worse.
Made flights for vacation and they changed our flights to 4 one ways. Our return trip is now 26 hours before we get home instead of 8. Tried to call for anyone and of course can't get a hold of a person. Overnight in Boston on my dime and an extra day. Don't use this site.
Buyer beware. Read the fine print. Priceline doesn't honor the time you actually rent a vehicle, they charge you the same even if you turn the vehicle in earlier than your scheduled turn-in date. Turning in a rental car early is never charged by ANY rental car company I've ever dealt with. Absolute frauds. Trust me. Just go direct with the rental car company. It's not worth the extra few dollars you save.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use priceline. They don't care if they rip you off for the time you didn't have a rental car, and take your money anyways.

I had a car reservation for today, but there was a situation that was beyond my control and I could not pick up the car. I called Priceline to ask if we could move the pickup date to the next day.(I did not ask for a refund or cancellation) - I merely need to change the date on the pickup. Well, after talking to someone from another country who repeated the script 6 times... I finally hung up and decided that I will never use this company again. There is no margin for catastrophic situations or accidents... you simply lose your money. Done with this company.
Went online to do the chat with them because we had to adjust our flight and rental car. Adjusting the flight was no problem as it was through Southwest Airlines. When the Priceline rep first thought I said I wanted to extend my rental car he was going to be fine with it. When I said I needed to cut it short by three days he said I would be charged the entire amount of one week Wether I return early or not. I gave him a chance to change his mind, he still said no too bad that's our policy. When I told him I would never use them again he said sorry you feel that way good night and hung up. Clearly, they have gotten so big, they have forgotten where they came from and what customer service is all about. The joke is it's going to cost them Way more when people read all the terrible reviews and we never use them again. Greed is always the demise.
Looked up hotels - bid $80 for a 3 star - made sure under amenities for all 3.5 stars that parking was included. They said if I bid $14 more I could have a 3.5 star - said ok - got one - called the hotel to ask for 2 beds and found out there is a $16 a day parking fee! I will never use them again -- they don't care - when I called I was basically told too bad - the contract says that I have to give a credit card when I check in for other charges. And they won't do anything about it.
WATCH OUT -- I have used these guys before - once we got to the hotel and were told there were no rooms - they moved us to another hotel! SO disappointed - asked them at least to add "parking for a fee" to this hotel description and was told no - sometimes it is included!
Booked a hotel on Priceline though I was booking holiday inn express in tampa. After I give them my card number and information.the hotel was a different one I called them they would not cancel it said they pick the hotel for me. Can not get a refund the hotel they picked had a 1 star an you needed a gun to stay there.so if you have any sense at all stay away from Priceline.
Prices for hotel rooms are competitive but be careful booking an Express Deal, you may get a hotel that is not displayed on the map. When you deal with customer service, they are trained to say only one thing "sorry there's nothing we can do for you"... they are quick to take your booking and your $$$ but try to make changes and you S. O. L. ONLY an on-line business could getaway with that.
Literally the worst company I've ever interacted with. Booked a car at the SFO Airport. Get there and the company they set me up with is not at SFO- its at a location a half hour away via shuttle. Annoying but I tried to let it go. Get to the shuttle location. They are running a 5 person shuttle once every half hour with a line of 20+ people. Awful but we wait it out. Finally get to the sketchy location after the driver spent the entire drive on Instagram to a huge line with one customer service rep. Get through that hurdle to find they literally don't even have a shuttle to get us back at the time we need to return the car. Called priceline with this info and they were unwilling to help in any way. No refunds or help. Absolute joke of a 'company'. We left their vendor after another hour wait for the shuttle to book with a location actually at the airport priceline had claimed we were booking with to begin with.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use priceline. Terrible service and communication.

Car rental was half an hour from where I booked it and cost me most of the day on vacation
The website is beyond garbage, over 50% of the 'deals' are expired or were probably fake to begin with. Just click-bait. Then when you find something that's real that works for you, you book it and then someone calls up saying oh this is booked out and you have to pay us $200 now over the phone or you will lose the booking. The extra star is for the out. Had them cancel it altogether and went on Kayak~
Tip for consumers:
Kayak compares more sites better without all the run around, I am sure there are plenty of others that work too, just stay away from PL!
Priceline is usually the first site I go to to book a hotel. I don't book flights on here because I think there are specific sites that will only do airlines. I have rented a car here as well and it was very hassle-free! I would come to this site first before going to another site to book online. You can set your range of the price and star rating. The reviews on the site also help me decide what's best.
I booked a two night hotel stay through Priceline.com back in August. I clearly booked a "two bedroom suite". I checked in to the Residence Inn today at 3pm and was given a king studio. Not even close to what I booked. After a very short chat session that got me nowhere, I called Priceline. I spent 47 minutes in the phone for nothing. Not a thing they could do for me. Didn't even offer a partial refund for the lesser room. So what good are they? Don't get me wrong, it's a nice clean room. However it is not what I booked and paid for in advance!
I gave it a 3 because of the way you "bid" on rooms, car rental, etc. I've won a couple of good bids but I don't like the way you pick your price but you can't request a certain area around town. I booked my husband in Detroit and even though I ask for at least 3 stars, the room he got was in downtown Detroit between the airport and highway... very noisy for the price. Just be careful.
I would never recommend this website to book or purchase anything from Priceline.Com I rented a car via Priceline.com now I have a problem with the billing I did call their customer services no one is answering their phone, I did try the chat online no live agent only virtual agent. Please do not book Priceline, com they are scammers. I would rather recommend Expedia.com at least they have customer service that is friendly and assists you

Priceline is misleading Canadians. They appear on Canadian websites offering rooms in comparison to other providers in Canadian dollars but when you book you may think you have found a better sale price. They change without telling you that price is now in US dollars. Notified them immediately of the problem and they refused to do a thing about it. You are caught in their trap. Stay away from these clowns! Especially if you are a Canadian!
I am so sick of places like this that offer so called specials, only to rip them away at the last minute and push crap at twice the price down your throat. These bait and switch tactics are just begging someone to make an example of them! I just hope it gets reported as much as the crap with the schools so everyone learns a lesson.
The program auto filled the wrong date and price line, charged me the price of the room after I contacted them 3 minutes after the booking. They are not friendly toward military, first responders or general customers. I will never use this program again and suggest no-one does. Piss poor customer service.
Tip for consumers:
I will never use this site again
