I had to go to Boston for two nights on family business and needed a handicap accessible
King deluxe room on short notice. I used Priceline and found the most perfect hotel!
Not only did it meet all my requirements, but it was across the street from the offices
That I had an appointment with! When I was checking in, the clerk told me I was getting
An unheard of deal- that he had rented my room for twice the price the night before.
Please book your trips, flights, etc. with another company. Priceline is a very grimy company who prey upon innocent hard working people like myself, unless you don't mind wasting money. Please consider booking with another professional company and not these clowns/thieves.
Price line does not even deserve a 1 star. During this horrific time in the world you can not reach them by phone or any other means. The US has said no traveling and my destination will not let you in. Priceline is no where to be found to help resolve my issues. Will NEVER use them again and will recommend every one to do the same.
Priceline doesn't even supply the bookings they take credit for. I booked part of my Philippine vacation through them and when a problem arose, instead of helping me, they referred me to the actual company handling the booking. They don't do anything at all except step in between the customer and REAL travel companies, skim money off the top, then claim credit for a booking they had nothing to do with. Then have the nerve to send me emails to review services that they refused to help with.
On the website they had a hotel for a great price listing free wifi. But on receiving my itinerary,
It showed only in public areas. Neither Priceline nor the hotel (Days Inn) would approve the
Cancellation. This is a misrepresentation. Wifi is a common expectation just like the bed and bathroom.
I spoke with Johann at Priceline and they was refused to cancel based on the misrepresentation. It is going to be where we need to call the hotel first to see what is true before making a reservation.
I would Never use Priceline. Express deal was wrong location and they won't refund and blamed the hotel and hotel and Priceline making jokes now. Over $75 for a power user. Lol okay Dave at Radison In Houston and Priceline customer service for Text to show world your should be banned from offer any rooms
I booked a hotel for Chicago and tried to use the coupon that they sent to me for 10% off. The price online reflected the discount, the debit card charge did not. When asking Priceline.com to fix my coupon, they claimed that it was beyonds their system's capabilities and instead offered me a 15% off coupon on my next stay. They sent me a 5% off coupon, which expired in four days. Their customer service is horrible for a $34 credit. I will pay $340 more somewhere else to avoid giving these thieves one more cent. Beware.
We made hotel reservations through priceline for a non-smoking facility, with a pool, and continental breakfast. We got there and it wreaked of cigarette smoke and they said the pool and breakfast were down. We told them to cancel our reservation and we'd find another place to stay and priceline has decided to not refund us because we didn't say the word "refund" while we were cancelling our reservation at the gross hotel. I'm not into playing stupid games like this, and I expect better from Priceline. Shame on them and I will never use their service again.
Will not work with customer. Family emergency with police reports and all documentation. NO HELP! All agents are located in the Philippines and speak broken English and if you asked for a US rep... no can do! Absolutely horrible customer service. STAY AWAY! Call the hotel directly!
I got a rental car for New Orleans. Little did we know a hurricane was headed for Louisiana., They would not give a refund or credit. We lost over $200 to them. Scammers! Do not use them! You'll lose your money, even for an act of God.
Priceline is a huge joke. They have false advertising and dont have any concern for their customers. They will take your money and screw you over. It says free cancellation and says so many more lies. I paid over 200 dollars for my rental with my debt card but when I got there to pick up the car I was told even though I have already paid and had the card on file that I paid with and even had the card with me I was denied the car and now priceline is refusing to give me my money back. They are the worse travel site ever and their customer service skills are the worse.
Beware of the hidden charges after you book using priceline.com
I booked a rental car from Economy car rental in Hollywood Florida through priceline.com and at the car rental desk, they forced me to pay 70% of my rental bill as waver, knowing that i provided my own car insurance and I paid in full in advance online, because i have a Canadian driver license and not American driver license.
Looked up hotels - bid $80 for a 3 star - made sure under amenities for all 3.5 stars that parking was included. They said if I bid $14 more I could have a 3.5 star - said ok - got one - called the hotel to ask for 2 beds and found out there is a $16 a day parking fee! I will never use them again -- they don't care - when I called I was basically told too bad - the contract says that I have to give a credit card when I check in for other charges. And they won't do anything about it.
WATCH OUT -- I have used these guys before - once we got to the hotel and were told there were no rooms - they moved us to another hotel! SO disappointed - asked them at least to add "parking for a fee" to this hotel description and was told no - sometimes it is included!
I had a car reservation for today, but there was a situation that was beyond my control and I could not pick up the car. I called Priceline to ask if we could move the pickup date to the next day.(I did not ask for a refund or cancellation) - I merely need to change the date on the pickup. Well, after talking to someone from another country who repeated the script 6 times... I finally hung up and decided that I will never use this company again. There is no margin for catastrophic situations or accidents... you simply lose your money. Done with this company.
Made flights for vacation and they changed our flights to 4 one ways. Our return trip is now 26 hours before we get home instead of 8. Tried to call for anyone and of course can't get a hold of a person. Overnight in Boston on my dime and an extra day. Don't use this site.
Buyer beware. Read the fine print. Priceline doesn't honor the time you actually rent a vehicle, they charge you the same even if you turn the vehicle in earlier than your scheduled turn-in date. Turning in a rental car early is never charged by ANY rental car company I've ever dealt with. Absolute frauds. Trust me. Just go direct with the rental car company. It's not worth the extra few dollars you save.
Prices for hotel rooms are competitive but be careful booking an Express Deal, you may get a hotel that is not displayed on the map. When you deal with customer service, they are trained to say only one thing "sorry there's nothing we can do for you"... they are quick to take your booking and your $$$ but try to make changes and you S. O. L. ONLY an on-line business could getaway with that.
Booked a hotel on Priceline though I was booking holiday inn express in tampa. After I give them my card number and information.the hotel was a different one I called them they would not cancel it said they pick the hotel for me. Can not get a refund the hotel they picked had a 1 star an you needed a gun to stay there.so if you have any sense at all stay away from Priceline.
I gave it a 3 because of the way you "bid" on rooms, car rental, etc. I've won a couple of good bids but I don't like the way you pick your price but you can't request a certain area around town. I booked my husband in Detroit and even though I ask for at least 3 stars, the room he got was in downtown Detroit between the airport and highway... very noisy for the price. Just be careful.
Priceline is usually the first site I go to to book a hotel. I don't book flights on here because I think there are specific sites that will only do airlines. I have rented a car here as well and it was very hassle-free! I would come to this site first before going to another site to book online. You can set your range of the price and star rating. The reviews on the site also help me decide what's best.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.
