I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.
Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!
Priceline gave us a deal price but after we receipted the bill from hotel itself shown the price is cheaper... they didn't want to paid back the different and they kept said it was a mistake. And even the gave us the coupon of $50 you must book again the hotel through them,, with 3 to 5 days. The customer services was rude even the the supervisors, they cheat you, they not working professional like they keep said will safe some money for their customer, they hang up the phoned before we finished it.
I went through priceline to book a hotel for 4 nights. I was charged $311. When I checked out my receipt for the 4 nights stay was only $228.08. So just to use their site to book a hotel was around $83. So from now on I will NEVER use Priceline again and I urge anyone thinking about using their site to do a little research and find the good deals yourself.
Tip for consumers:
DONT USE PRICELINE. If you want to save money do the research yourself!!!!

Whatever you do, never enter priceline.com into your web browser. Through priceline, I made a reservation to rent a car in Vancouver. The website promised me a price that was more than 100 dollars lower than the price I ended up paying at the rental car place. On top of that, and unbeknownst to me, I was charged 30 dollars for using the online service to book my rental. At no point during the reservation process was I informed that I was going to incur this fee. There was absolutely no mention of it. So basically, I paid 30 dollars, which I didn't even know I had to pay, in order to book a car rental that was way more expensive than the advertised price. I never felt like more of a sucker. William Shatner should be ashamed of himself for representing these charlatans.
Attractive sticker price for rental cars, but they withhold key information until after you make the purchase, information like where you'll be renting you car upon your arrival, and from whom. Once you learn the rental agency is two shuttle rides and many miles away from the airport, you look up the agency, find out it has almost exclusively 1 star reviews, and when you reach out to customer service to modify the reservation you get a bot. STAY AWAY
They are false advertising. We have had trouble more than once but this one took the cake. It was supposed to be a hotel with a casino and advertised as one. But even when we traveled an hour to get there after calling Priceline and telling them it was wrong and that their phone lines didn't even work they still did NOTHING. Even staff told us that Priceline knew they were false advertising and still did not change it.
Booked 4 rooms for 3 nights. Only 3 nights are available at the hotel. When called got the runaround. I spoke with them on the phone - at least 7 times with no resolution. Wasted 6 hours on the calls. Every time they lie stating that hotel is confirmed, don't worry. When called the hotel, they had only three rooms and the 4th one was under some name in the past. Hopeless customer service and incompetent.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid it.

They are quick to take your money but when something goes wrong they have supple excuses for why they can't do what they should be doing. Worse still, they send out the non-English speaking telephone personalities to explain the situation in excruciating pigeon English detail. In the end, they refuse to take part in the correction and I would never, never recommend this company for anything to anyone. Shame, shame, shame on Priceline.
Tip for consumers:
Don't do it!!!!!!!

I will never go through Priceline again for anything ever! They have got to have the worst customer service of any company today! They are rude and just plain dishonest. If anything should go wrong with your reservation, don't plan on getting any help from them. They will give you the run around and talk in circles until you give up, and if you don't they will finally tell you, there's nothing they can do.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I have used Priceline many times and always same day. I had a horrible experience today. Even though I had confirmation number the hotel did not have me in the system. I booked 2 hours in advance. When I called Priceline it was in can take up to 24 hours for reservations to get to where it is suppose to go. My? Then why offer this service was meet with silence. I was offered a 5% coupon code only good for Express deals and had to be used in 2 weeks. I laughed and said I get 10% codes all the time sent to me. Very poor customer service and now they have lost a customer.
This was my worst experience with a website to book flights! They told me that I can change my flight to any country with a charge of $200 and now they are saying that it's only within Indonesia because I want to shorten my trip with Bali and go to a different country and then back to mine. I advise not to use this website for booking flights. They are not trustworthy.
I rented and paid for a hot tub room through Priceline. The hotel informs me there are no whirlpool rooms available and that Priceline should not have listed them as available. I have a room that could not be canceled. I call Priceline and had to wait hours for a call back as they were too busy. They finally called me back and said they spoke to the hotel and I would be refunded the next business day. Mind you, I made the reservation and the money was taken instantly. It's been six days and I'm still waiting for my refund. I will NEVER book thru them again. This is the second time I've been burned. There won't be a third.
Priceline has the worst CS dept! We booked a package deal, airfare and hotel. I called Priceline to check something on my reservation and they tell me, our apologies your hotel did not confirm your reservation but we still have airline tickets? Yes we still have air but No hotel and they were never going to tell me Unreal! Prices have went up significantly since we booked and now we are screwed!. They said our air is not refundable and have no problem giving me back my hotel money but would not reimburse me for the price difference. Since hotels went up. This company is a joke! They do not honor anything they say or email you. I will definitely be disputing all of the charges with my credit card company. I also emailed the executives *******@priceline.com & *******@priceline.com of course that went nowhere. They did not even respond. This company does not care about their customers and I will never use them again and will let as many people know how awful they are.
We recently had a baseball tournament and booked a hotel through price line. They put us up at an airport hotel. This hotel was actually part of the airport terminal and the parking fees were $24 per night and we needed to have two cars. After getting our itinerary I immediately called them to explain the situation and they said they would refund the parking fees due to the unusual circumstance. They then gave me the email to fax the receipt and a confirmation number. When I sent it in, they responded with a sorry we cant refund your parking fees. I called them up and spoke to a manager and they still refused and said they would pass it on for further training, but would do nothing for me. Makes me sick how they lied when I did everything up front to make sure this was taken care of.
Beware people it turned out that booking thru the hotel is cheaper than priceline. Priceline doesn't disclose all mandatory charges the hotel might charge. You have to understand what charges priceline doesn't include. Eventually you will end up paying more than going to the hotel directly. This happened to us.
When checked in, Hilton had $35 mandatory charge per day per room. Priceline doesn't show that and I was tricked. Their policy is vague and they will hold you accountable for it.
I always knew that booking through priceline made it extremely difficult to make modifications to hotel & flight & car rentals. And that's okay to a certain degree. But now I know they will rip you off if you need to make a modification that involves something serious like death of a parent. They don't give a rip about you or me. True story.
Priceline told me that it was impossible to cancel my car reservation. Enterprise told me the same because Priceline was involved. All other reservations(flight, hotels etc) that I had Make arrangements yourself. Made on my own WERE refunded!
Why not Priceline? The little fat guy is not going to get you a better deal!
I booked two nights for $298 total. On their website it said each night was 111.05 plus tax. There was no breakdown in price for specific days. I ended up needing to cancel because of a cancelled flight. I called as soon as I knew the flight was cancelled to cancel the reservation. I knew I would be charged for one night. However, when I got my refund, it was $78! And they tried to tell me that the night I was going to stay there was just a lot more expensive. Priceline never said that or specified that on the reservation. And they refused to give me the $111.05 plus tax in total back, said there was nothing they could do, not even a voucher or credit. I was flabbergasted. Seems like Priceline has gone deceitful. How unfortunate.
I booked a car with Economy through Priceline.com. It was advertised as $9/day. I also bought the insurance for a total of $77. However, when I arrived in San Jose, I was told there would be a $5,000 deposit if I did not use Economy's insurance. And even then, a $950 deposit was required. The car ended up costing me $520 vs. $9/day, and I've lost my money for the insurance I bought through Priceline. There is NOTHING on the website that says there will be this tremendous difference in the price for insurance.
No plane tickets and no money
Booked a flight and thought everything was good. Noticed after that it was the wrong city and country for my flight. I live in Canada not USA. Priceline gave the run around and said deal with the airline. Airline says deal with Priceline. Wouldn't help in any way possible. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told the wait would be 11 to 25 hours to get a call back. I put in a complaint with the airline and have now disputed the charges with my credit card company. I will even go down to see CTV News tomorrow and talk to them about these horrible practices. I will most likely never see my money again! Never use this company ever! I should have trusted those other bad reviews.

Never use Priceline

This is a trick to get all details from the customer with low-price offers. They offer some excellent prices and ask you to fill in all your details including the bank details to book tickets. When you provide all your details, they just revert back stating the price changed now and need to pay extra if you want to book your tickets. Secondly, all look like Asian-based agents and use fake names to communicate with customers. When checked they say it is company policy. So be alert that it may be fake to get all your details.

We were excited about our road trip to the States from Canada but Priceline was not sympathetic to us when we told them that our car broke down (needs a new engine $3000 plus...) in NY State and could not get to our hotel nor did we have a way to get home. We had to make a new hotel reservation closer to where our car broke down (towing to the garage a staggering $300!) Soon after we made the reservation, a friend contacted us to pick us up and drive us home. We immediately called Priceline to cancel that hotel and told them about the other hotel... They offered no cancellation, no voucher, no sympathy... Worst customer service ever! I wanted to give them negative stars, but this was not optional.

This is the second time in a row I booked a rental car though them and the 2 time they over charged me by close to $40. The first time they refunded my money this time I called 3 times and still no results, even after talking with a supervisor. The car was a week long rental for $414.99 and they charged me $454.99.
The site is great and very easy to use but whatever I seemed to want to order was out of stock, including the goodie bag offer which I tried to access on day 1 with no luck. I'll be sticking to in-store from now on!
Have always booked with Expedia in the past. Tried Priceline. Never again. First, they cancelled half of a round-trip I booked months in advance, no compensation, to a completely different day on which I could not travel, so had to pay more to re-book with another airline. Customer service at Priceline just said "too bad" that it cost me hundreds more to re-book months later. Then trying to select a seat, and trying to check in for the Priceline flights was a pain, no confirmation numbers, no seat selection, no check in online, crappy service! Could not do any of it online. Have to wait to check in at the airport. Never had this with Expedia. Don't book with Priceline. Terrible.
I had a car reservation however when i arrived no cars were available and they could not help me. I had to rent from another agency and much more expensive because it was not previously booked. Terrible Situation.
