I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.

Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!

I think there should be a minimum time window within which a consumer can cancel a system generated reservation. In my situation I booked a room because my house was without AC in Texas. 92 degrees in the house. The problem resolved itself about 2 hours after I booked a room 3 blocks away. I am out $90 and am on disability. Never will I use Priceline again!

I have had some good deals on hotels frome priceline but i have on occasion found better deals on other sites. The name your own price tool is great. Make sure you start really low and work your way up you will be pleasantly surprised.

Beware when booking hotels a a discounted price. The sight showed all the locations being close to where I need to be only to find out I was put up a hour away. Called immediately but they were unwilling to work with me. ( never again)

Do not use - thieves; Booked hotel and in less than an hour my schedule got changed and they would not change date, cancel or refund. Hotel would but I had to go through priceline since I booked there. Policies should be the same as hotel.
Never use again!

I booked a "name your own price" deal and got the Crowne Plaza in NYC. Priceline showed me exactly how much my credit card would be charged but when I arrived at the hotel they charged me a $30 per day "resort fee". When I called Priceline to complain, they sent me a brief cold email saying they can't help me and I should have read the fine print? I'm a long time customer...

Priceline is a scam! I attempted to use their guarantee on a couple of flights and they tell me the guarantee is only good for 24 hours after the booking date. Their website stipulates you can use the guarantee up to midnight before the flight and this is not the case. This company should be fined for false advertising and deceptive practices. I noticed others having the same problem in other complaints.

I booked a rental with Priceline because I thought it was a good deal. I found out 4 weeks later I could use government rate directly with the car company and I would have saved $600.00. This is ridiculous and we will not make the same mistake twice.

Booked a van (paid in full in September) through Priceline in September 2021 to use March 2022. Received a call from rental agency two days before travel, they did not have the van available. Further, they do not rent vans. Priceline advertised, booked and took money for a van that did not exist. After 2 hours waiting, Priceline offered to refund the money, not find me a van. So a day before travel, I am looking for a suitable replacement. Never again with Priceline. Do not waste your time.

Do not waste your time and money. Kayak is owned by Priceline, FYI

I were about to rent a car they wanted me to pay for insurance up front I did when the deal on car didn't go through they haven't refunded my money. It was 7/28/22 today is 8/10/22 I'm going to post this everyday until I get my Money.

Booked a refundable trip only to learn the car rental was not refundable. Priceline refused to refund me and when I disputed the charge with AMX Priceline also cancelled the reservation but kept my money. I had to pay the non refundable rental of over $250 and then could not actually use the rental. Priceline said that when you dispute a charge the reservation is automatically cancelled despite my pre paying for the entire thing. What crooks! Never use Priceline they are running a total scam!

I booked two car last month from Priceline when I made it to the airport Alamo and economy were out of car. I had to spend double what I rented from them on my car from another company. Customers service don't know nothing they didn't try to accommodate me it was a mess. I will never rent from Priceline ever again.

Priceline is a scam. They say they "refunded your reservation" then charge you three monthes later for it thinking you won't notice and refusing to correct the issue. I will never use this service again!

Awful customer service - they dont stand by their sales.
Booked a car to be picked up today - none available-
Customer relations could not help secure another car booking -they were just useless and didnot care.
Never again we will use Priceline

As others have reported, Priceline will make no accommodation or changes under any circumstances. I had booked a hotel room for a Tue night but, due to an injury by a family member, needed to push the reservation back by two nights, to Thursday. My request for a date change was denied. I was even willing to stay at a cheaper hotel, but Priceline would make no concessions, so I paid for a hotel night that I could not use.

I love it now as much as when it first started! I heard though that you cannot bid on seats anymore and if true, tht would ruin this review! Bidding is the only way I've EVER had decent rates. Otherwise, they're great!

How this company is still in business is beyond me. NEVER AGAIN. Totally screwed up my vacation because the agents cant speak or understand English. Who books and intl flight for a family of 6 without luggage? Priceline. Nickel and dime you tondeath after the initial teaser rate? Priceline.

I too had one (and believe me ONLY one) bad experience with these clowns. It's all hype and no substance. Those ridiculous commercials only exist because Bill Shatner got buried to the elbows in the original stock offering back in the late 90s before the "dot com" bust happened.

FIND your hotel somewhere like hotels.com. Take a little extra time to CALL the hotel and handle your OWN booking. Same thing with the airlines. You just have to ask for a special rate and they almost always give it up. For airlines, there are promotional priced seats (ask them for a "Q" status seat) on every flight. They are limited but you can score them pretty easily. I have traveled extensively and seen almost every trick in the book, and know a few myself. I also recommend avoiding this site, it will not perform as advertised.

I booked an express deal for a Florida Hotel. By doing my homework I was able to figure out which hotel I would get. Their site told me that it owl be one of three hotels. But they also said that one hotel, the one I wanted, had 80 reviews. It booked and got the hotel I wanted. The next day the very same hotel with 80 reviews was offered for $48 less. Priceline refused to honor their price guarantee.

They have no insider deals. They are just an advertising site. The advertise for some really really shady companies that will overcharge you. Buyer beware. It is better to book directly with a major compny.

Chosen an option to accommodate 1 adult and 2 kids. Received reservation from booking.com with one guest only, been charged additionally for my kids. Tried to contact Priceline.com, their response was to solve it through Booking.com.
It's clearly Priceline's mistake but they wouldn't do anything regarding this. No chance I'll be using this website again. Before ordering they didn't even mentioned, that order goes through a 3rd party website.
Avoid those scammers at all cases.

I used to like Priceline but after this last trip, never again. They booked us in the worst hotel I've ever seen, spiders and cobwebs on the ceiling, hole punched in the bathroom door, water damage tile about to fall out of the ceiling, used garbage under the bed, the list goes on. We called the front desk to see if someone would come clean the room. Someone came by and said "Housekeeping went home" and dropped of a busted up vacuum so we could clean the room ourselves! There is no way that place is the star level Priceline sold us. And with their no-refund policy there is no protection against getting a dump like this! I wouldn't stay at that place for free. We had to flush the cost a two night reservation down the toilet and go across the street and get another hotel out of pocket which seriously affected our trip. Going on vacation should be relaxing, not a game of Russian Roulette.

Do not use this site for anything - BIG FAT RIPOFF. Wanted to change a flight from Corpus Christi to Dallas Fort Worth - fare increase of over $1000 for a date change!
So much for supporting the military!
Well... never ever again.
This organisation is immoral and amazingly greedy.
Go elsewhere!
Be warned.
Oh and Priceline - Fool me once, fool me twice - now I will see it as my point to ensure that all my colleagues, friends and public now about your scam.
So angry and disgusted beyond words! And when I dared to complain I was hung up on!

Searched and found a Family Room hotel booking for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 6 and 8). I made sure to double and triple check the details before making payment since this was a non-refundable offer. The email confirmation then only showed a Double Room was booked!.

The customer Assistant at Priceline mentioned their rooms are only guaranteed for up to 2 adults and I need to ask the hotel directly myself for their discretion if they will allow me to check in my children. WTH?! I don't mind paying extra but the fear is they may not have a suitable family room remaining to accommodate the 4 of us.

Now I have the hassle of communicating directly with a foreign hotel to explain the situation. What a hassle!

Tip for consumers:
It is quite long-winded to book using Pricebreaker and the search filters reset often which means you need to always check that you are purchasing what you originally searched for.
