I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.
Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!
On 4/18/2024, I used Priceline to book a room at the Hyatt. This was my first time using Priceline. Unfortunately, I double booked my room - made two reservations for the same stay - by mistake. The hotel cancelled the $223.21 deposit for one of the bookings and gave me a hard copy of the cancellation showing that Priceline should issue a refund in the amount of $223.21. The Hyatt Front Desk also telephoned Priceline, explained that I should receive a refund because I had mistakenly double-booked a room, and put me on the line to confirm my identity.
When I called Priceline on 4/22/2024, no one answered and I was placed in a never ending loop. I also emailed Priceline the same day about receiving my refund and sent photos of the written cancellation. Priceline responded: "In an effort to assist you with your booking, we reached out to our hotel partner and requested a one-time courtesy cancellation to waive the penalties associated with your booking. Unfortunately, the hotel has denied the request and stated that the reservation is non-refundable as per the below cancellation policy, hence we are unable to secure a waiver on your behalf."
Since 4/22/2024 I have tried to contact Priceline by telephone to correct the problem and receive a refund. Today, 6/6/2024, I received another email with the exact same language I received from Priceline on 4/22/2024. I will NEVER use Priceline again. Before my horrible first time experience using Priceline, I always called the hotel directly to make reservations and they always matched any price I found online. NEVER, NEVER use Priceline, unless you enjoy living in the twilight zone.
I signed up to he a VIP member when I created my account. Then I booked a hotel and there is a price match guarantee. I rang them up and they would not price match. They were so rude and so unhelpful. Price match guarantee is a joke. Just use booking.com where I found it cheaper after. Or Agoda, trivago. Anyone but Priceline.

Absolute SCAM corporation! They sold me auto collision insurance for a rental vehicle on the Priceline website and when it came time to pickup my rental vehicle, the company told me they don't honor 3rd party insurance from Priceline. I called Priceline, explain the situation and requested a refund to which I was told it was nonrefundable! If Priceline was a person, this would be considered a crime (obtaining money under false pretenses), but since it's a scumbag corporation, it's just bad business. I attached the email response I received from Priceline customer care admitting and confirming my complaint. Hopefully this will help prevent further criminal acts from Priceline to their unknowing consumers.
Horrible. Booked a hotel with Priceline and paid for a specific larger, more expensive room type. They sent the cheapest room type to Agoda, Agoda booked it and sent the cheapest room type to the hotel. When i check in the hotel give me the cheapest room type, when i question it and show my Priceline booking for the higher room they said that's not what they got and to contact Agoda. Agoda says that's what they got from Priceline and the contact Priceline. Priceline says it was booked through them but by Agoda so to contact Agoda... spent 4 hours trying to sort it out at the front desk while on the phone with both of them and waiting on hold for hours. Ended up with the cheapest room while paid for a more expensive room. Now both Priceline and Agoda are pointing at each other and neither are helpful nor refunding me for the difference in room type. SCAM, takes higher amount, sends lower amount and pockets the difference. NEVER use, not helpful, SCAM of a company.
Priceline orchestrated flight to arrive after rental car office closed. Next day, no cars available!
Tip for consumers:
Priceline has not returned the money that they charged me for services they did not provide, nor for additional expenses I incurred due to their actions and failures to correct. I hope to hear about others who have had the same experience.

I was stuck in an unfamiliar city. I used public transportation, Uber, and was finally able to rent a car from a different company at higher rates.
I booked a room at extended stay america through the number on their site since their website was not functioning. After I booked the room, I found out they charged me 15.99 for making the reservation on the phone. When I got to the hotel, they said I didn't have a room because priceline overbooked all the rooms.
Called priceline and they transferred me three (3) times to different numbers. Inexcusable. On top of that, the person they transferred me to (again) tried to help, but he could not understand what I was saying. <stop using call centers to operate your business> It does nothing but piss people off and not want to do business with you!
I clicked on a booking that was "fully refundable" at time of booking. I booked on 3/13/2024 and I cancelled on 3/14/2024. I received a confirmation email also on the 14th that my reservation was cancelled and "my refund was on its way"
I noticed on my bank statement that I was charged the 1st nights charges and fees along with a cancellation fee on 3/18/024.
When I called they said that I had to cancel 30days prior to the booking to not be charged the 1st nights stay. Even though I only booked and cancelled 3 days prior to stay...
I told them this was very misleading in that "fully refundable" does not really mean the same to them as it does to me...
I will book elsewhere in the future...
We reserved a room weeks in advance of our Eclipse trip. When we got to the hotel at 9 pm at night, there were no rooms available, the hotel was fully booked. Priceline could do nothing but try to get us another room. A "booking specialist" reserved us another room and when we got to that hotel, it was fully booked and there were no rooms. I cancelled that reservation and found the last room in a crappy hotel, but it was a roof over our heads.
How can Priceline reserve rooms that aren't there and the best they can do is reserve me another hotel room. But they can't even do that.
This was made better because I had my 5 yr old with me> I could sleep in the car if it came to it, but my 5 yr old can't.
Priceline gave me a $70 "good will" credit, but that's not enough for a room and it was little conciliation when I have nowhere to sleep and a child in tow. I will never use Priceline again and I have their credit card with I will never use again. I will also tell everyone I know the story and to not use Priceline.
Trip was great overall, Priceline was crap overall!
Tip for consumers:
Never use Priceline if you want a guaranteed reservation when you get to your destination.

I have used Priceline twice. When I was just looking for something clean and safe and didn't need fancy. Both times the hotel was nothing like the photos, and in one case the Comfort Inn wasn't a Comfort Inn, it was a rat trap being remodeled. Disgusting, I ended up leaving. I think that Priceline removes bad reviews so that you book and they get the kickback. It's a scam. Customer service is an oxymoron. It's the hotels that are their customers, not the people booking.

I rented a hotel room.
We got a reservation at the Clarion international drive. When we got to the hotel there was stains in the bed, no pillows, no phone, the room was disgusting. We called the front desk with no answer. When we went to the front desk to talk to the customer service rep, she was nasty and literally told us to leave the hotel and threaten to call the cops on us. We left, and called Priceline where we got no solution to the issue. They denied to give us a refund. We talk with different customer service people and supervisor, with no help whatsoever. It was very disappointing, they take the reservation but they cannot solve the situation.
I have had very bad experiences with booking car rentals on Priceline.com. Do not use them for car rentals, especially York Car Rentals. Priceline shouldn't even be doing business with this shabby car rental company.
I rented three vans (all pre-paid reservations) in Denver airport. York Car Rental had no cars whatsoever available when we arrived and even refused to send the shuttle to pick us up at the Airport. (leaving us stranding with a baby and kids). And to top that, here it is day 15 and we still have not received our refunds. I have called Priceline 3 times only to be told that they didn't get a response from their email and they will have to send another email. Really - day 15? And this is the response.
DO NOT USE PRICELINE.COM. They have a bad business practice in handling refunds.

Priceline is not for business trips where you dont have hours to change, cancel and\or getting a receipt. Car rental for example, you have to call Priceline to explain the problem. Then the Priceline agent has to call the rental car company and explain the problem. Both Priceline and the rental car companies use outsourced agents who speak marginal English. Rental car company and Priceline agent go back and forth asking you questions and you may or may not get the help you need. WATCH out for deals that may or may not be changeable or cancelable.

We confirmed with Priceline in October 2023 we were charged for an item we should not of been. We provided all the information they requested. Now we are in February 2024 and after many, many calls and emails all they keep repeating is to call them. Very questionable business practice. I do not recommend them at all.
Fraudulent way to charge is USD even for Canadian travel and dont disclose properly. They dont mention that its in USD. On the first page they dont mention that the transaction is in USD and falsely trap. They dont even mention clearly anywhere that its USD but in last sunmmary page they have fine print saying its USD and you are trapped.

I bought travel insurance it shows on my receipt. I have called customer service several times for Priceline and the insurance. They still tell me they have no records of my purchase what a scam! Each one refers you back to the other it's terrible business practices.
Tip for consumers:
I will use Expedia next time forget Priceline
Warning: Please beware of pricelines low car rental prices. I needed a car rental and went to pricelines website found what I thought was a great rental, only to book it find out on the day of the rental that was only for out of state rentals. This was not stated in my contract and rental booking info but disclosed at the last minute when I went to pick up the car
Tip for consumers:

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a booking site. Normally, I use Expedia and decided to try Priceline because it was recommended to me. Well I will never use this misleading site again! I am very disappointed that no accommodations could be made to assist me in correcting an issue that their site fraudulently caused! First, you lock me into a booking where no changes could be made on top of booking me at the wrong hotel when your link for the specific hotel I chose which was supposed to be the correct link but after I made my payment is when I realized that the link was incorrect. However, charges will be disputed because of this fraudulent mess!
Tip for consumers:
The express checkout links are misleading and will have you booking the wrong hotel and then you can't get a refund back or update the correct hotel. I didn't even want a refund all I wanted was for the hotel to be corrected!

Priceline doesn't even supply the bookings they take credit for. I booked part of my Philippine vacation through them and when a problem arose, instead of helping me, they referred me to the actual company handling the booking. They don't do anything at all except step in between the customer and REAL travel companies, skim money off the top, then claim credit for a booking they had nothing to do with. Then have the nerve to send me emails to review services that they refused to help with.
Tip for consumers:
If you ever see something on Priceline, go to Agoda instead. Agoda was the actual travel agency that REALLY handled my booking.

The customer service is absolutely terrible. I was charged an additional $500 due to one of their agents filling out my flight reservation incorrectly. They acknowledged their mistake, but continue to give me the run around anytime I call. During one of our calls, they put me on hold for 2 hours. I found out later that particular department was closed for the day so the agent had essentially transferred me to a dead line. It's been 3 months with no refund and no valid reason why. I strongly recommend saving yourself the headache by using ANY other travel service.
Tip for consumers:
Do yourself a favor and use a different travel service.
I used Priceline.com to choose a hotel with a free breakfast that would meet my strict dietary needs on my trip. I chose a hotel that was $20-30 more expensive than other hotels because it stated the hotel has "hot buffet breakfast". Woke up this morning to find that all they offer is hot waffles, which I cannot eat. I contacted Priceline.com's customer service and they told me that my receipt/itinerary doesn't guarantee hot breakfast. So the two pages leading up to booking the hotel that say "hot breakfast buffet" meant nothing and only the receipt after I had already paid said only "breakfast included". Priceline has pulled a bait and switch and refuses to rectify the situation. I've been using their service for years but now I think I'll be moving on.
The staffing is sorely inadequate at dollar and thrifty car rental in Denver. It is going to take up to three hours to pick up a PRE-PAID car. There are tons of people and three windows open! I'm traveling with my 84 year-old mother and this is just completely unacceptable! If these companies can't provide a reasonable experience, they should reduce their rentals until they can correct this mess! How about adding some kiosks?
Don't fall into the "package trap" with Priceline. I purchased this for my husband: one airline ticket, 1 day car rental and 1 night hotel room only to find out, the ticket was the only item included in the new, package price. I had so much fun chatting with one of their agent bots online. Wasted an hour trying to resolve. I have included a photo of how they misrepresented themselves. Misleading? I'd say flat out "FRAUD". Use any other company but priceline.
Service was absolutely terrible and not helpful at all. I purchased insurance because they recommended it only for the "insurance" to not cover when I needed to change my airport landing. Then I would be required to pay 200 dollars extra if I cancelled this flight or be stuck in an unknown city three hours from my destination. A rip off if I've seen any. Better off paying three the airline directly.
Tip for consumers:
Read the fine print and don’t buy the Priceline insurance it’s a scam
Be careful booking thru Priceline. I don't see any active hotel review link. Just spent the night in an absolute dump. Place should be condemned or at least not offered to the travelling public in Fort Lauderdale. No pool, no elevator, property looked smelled horrible, undesirables everywhere, no lobby just a drive up transaction window. Web pictures are all lies. You get the idea. Drive past and keep going. Oh and there seems to be no way to get in touch with Priceline to get a potential refund.
