I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.
Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!
After much searching, I booked a hotel in Atlanta. Looking for one that did not say anything about having to pay for parking like many of the others stated. We get to the hotel at after 7 in the evening only to be told that parking was $32 a day. (There 3 days) The hotel blamed Priceline. I filed a complaint through their chat. Right after this, I made a different reservation and then found out I have a work meeting to be at during the same timeframe. I called asking to cancel or just move reservation. I was told by the rep and then her "supervisor" that per their policy, there was nothing they could do. There is no way that absolutely nothing can be done to help a customer. They just won't help. I filed email complaints with several corporate people only to be told they weren't going to do anything either. They don't give a $#*! about their customers. They are only about the money. I at least expect dinner & drinks before I get screwed!
Priceline is the worst travel agent to ever use. Try it at your own risk. They do not take care before booking your flight. My transit flight pass through country that my passport could not go through mean why they had all my information before booking the flight. When I was block in a foreign country could not even help to rebooked a different knowing very well that it was their problem. I book a single ticked with two travelers and at the return time at the airport I was told that I have only one traveler on my ticket mean while I paid for two.
I pulled up a RT flight I wanted to book and the price was right, I proceeded to check out and pay, by the time I got there, all the sudden I get this message " sorry we have sold out of those flights " I have had this happen numerous times. They dangle a carrot in front of you. No more, this website is just a teaser.
The listed hotels are NOT where you will be staying. I paid for a four-star hotel, and was put in what I would classify as may be a two star hotel. Basically it is very old, and has zero amenities that you would expect with a four-star hotel. I will definitely never use Priceline again, after spending an hour on the phone with five different Priceline representatives, I was told that there is absolutely nothing that they can do and that I would not be receiving any of my money back, nor would they be able to move me to a different hotel. Basically I was SOL. The customer service sucked, the hotel was extremely rude, and I would say my lesson is learned, never again.
Tip for consumers:
If you book on Priceline, you’ll end up in a $#*!hole. Paid for a 4 star hotel, ended up in a “motel” built in the 60s. “Free” WiFi is their biggest “amenity”, for which I was charged a $48 resort fee...

Unfortunately, I was required to give 1 star to post a review. Within hours of scheduling a car rental, I called to cancel it. I was told that I could not cancel even as I read "free cancellation until pick up". Then as I asked to speak to a manager, I was given the runaround. I am still waiting for a call that has never come. Trust the reviews and use aNother company that values customer service! Priceline will steal your money!
To follow up on the review, I spoke to Dollar, the rental car agency, the lady was very pleasant and said she would be happy to refund me however Priceline does not let them do. She said that not only does Priceline steal the money from the customer, but the original business does not get it either. Priceline definitely has a scam and will not hesitate to steal customers money!
Very UNHAPPY with priceline. I booked a hotel room. On my original search I put in my accommodations and when I did my name your price they all were overlooked. I wanted a room that has a refrigerator, free continental breakfast and free parking. I was thrown into a room at a hotel that I had no idea what it was going to be. The hotel does not offer any of the accommodations I wanted. The hotel room is going to cost me more then if I went through hotels.com or groupon. Now I am stuck with this hotel and have to pay extra for my accommodations. I would NEVER use priceline again nor would I recommend it to anyone. I give it no stars.
Tip for consumers:
If you use the site make sure you read the agreement 5 times, slowly and carefully.
Priceline switched me to a completely different hotel than the one I thought i was paying for. In fact they never sent me itinerary because that would have alerted me. Instead I looked at my bankcard online and thats when I found they had switched to a different hotel. Of course the hotel was a complete downgrade with horrible reviews. A month a go I paid for a hotel through Priceline and paid more than I would have had I just gone direct. Shame on me, buyer beware. Never again. Stay away from Priceline.
Beware of NYOP as they often just give you the agoda website rate. I have experienced this in bids in Glasgow and Madrid. They make it almost impossible to honour any promise to pay the difference if you find it cheaper. They are an infuriating company but have got a few good deals as well in past so just beware
I booked a hotel through Priceline that was refundable within 24 hrs of date. I cancelled 16 days ahead and still have not received my refund. I was not suppose to be charged until I arrived at the hotel but instead I was charged immediately. I called Priceline weeks later to check on my refund. Priceline connects you to Booking.com. The gentleman I spoke to was very condescending and said I needed to send three documents including my bank statement to prove I had been charged. The hotel didn't have any record of my payment because the charge to my account had been by Priceline but the gentleman kept referring to the hotel. Was an extremely frustrating experience and I will never book through Priceline again. At this point I have turned the matter over to my credit union to handle. Still waiting for this issue to be resolved.
I'll never use priceline again! Not only was their rate higher than the actual hotel rate but when I arrived at the hotel I was charged by the hotel as well. I tried to resolve the issue, learning that priceline never forwarded my reservation to the hotel which is why my card was charged twice. The hotel ended up refunding my credit card which was less than I paid for the room through priceline. I communicated with priceline via email because I could NOT understand their non English speaking employees. Priceline told me they would follow up with me and of course they did not. The only reason I got any kind of refund was because I continued to email until someone took action. It is much easier to call the hotel directly and ask for a lower rate. It always seems to work.
When I book hotels, airfare, etc, I always look at numerous sites at the exact same time to get the same price. Sop when booking a trip for my group of girlfriends and I to have a reunion trip in Ocean City, MD, Priceline was the cheapest by about $20 or more dollars. So I figured, well I will book on them. I normally ONLY book on Orbitz and Expedia because I always have a good experience. Well I should have gone with what I know. When the 4 of us showed up at the hotel, they charged us another $70 because there were more than 2 of us in the room. I guess this is a policy of Pricelines they advertise NO WHERE! Just that they are the "best" prices around. BS. I called to complain and all the customer service rep did was read me the policy over and over again. Real helpful. I will never book with them again. Ever.
Priceline is my favorite for buying airline tickets. I've tried a couple of other sites, but priceline seems to be the easiest for viewing my itinerary and eticket information. Except for the US airline that doesn't sell through discount sites (and they SW know who they are), I can find flights on the major carriers through priceline at reasonable prices.
Booked a hotel through priceline by accident. Did not stay in that particular hotel, and still was charged and no refund was offered by priceline. Priceline claims there is no dispute team available. I have used priceline for years, I will no longer use priceline due to their poor customer service.
I will never use Priceline again! My husband wanted to surprise our kids with a stayover at the Golden Plough Inn at New Hope, PA. Unfortunately, their baby ( our granddaughter) became ill and it was necessary to cancel. According to the confirmation we were sent from Priceline we could cancel in advance before check-in. When we tried to do that Priceline stated that the hotel required 24 to 48 hours in advance. It would've been nice if it stated so on their confirmation! Spoke to a few incompetent people there too! Will never use them again! Very unhappy... Hotels.com is very reliable...
I booked a hotel room. 3 days before check in I had a medical emergency happen. I called the hotel to cancel the room they said " we will be happy to cancel it without any fees or charges but since I booked through priceline I needed to call them so I did. Priceline told me to cancel it would cost me 1 nights room rent and $137.00 penalty. I said the hotel was willing to cancel for free. They said hold on we will call them to verify this. They put me on a 30 second hold and said the hotel did not say that. They never had time to even call them let alone talk to them. So buyer beware priceline is a scam.
I rented a car through priceline and it gave me a nice deal with AVIS rental car. As mentioned by priceline insurance was not mandatory however when I went to pickup car the girl they don't go through other insurance companies and insurance was mandatory so I had to spend more money on insurance than on my car rental. I will never use priceline service again,
Booked a hotel through priceline and was given an option to extend my stay another night with priceline. Hotel informed me it was a different room with only a king bed, Original reservation was 2 queens. I was traveling with my wife and two children. Priceline definition of extend is from a different dictionary. Had to pay for an upgrade at hotel. Priceline is a scam!
I booked a flight for my son to come home for Christmas using Priceline.com. Booking 2 different Canadian airlines for a round trip, my total payment according to Priceline was $484. There was no indication of currency and so I discover on my credit card statement that Priceline charged me in U.S. dollars. I called my credit card company to dispute the extra charge of $177 and I was told that they receive alot of complaints about this company. So I would highly recommend using a reputable online company to book your flights so that you're not paying extra fraudulent fees.
I rented a car through Priceline for an employee, when he went to pick up the vehicle at Hertz, they denied him. This car was paid for and insured. He did not have a credit card on him for incidentals and they would not accept a corporate card over the phone. I have spoken to FIVE employees at Priceline and they refuse to give me a refund. I guess keeping people's money after refusing them service is a good way to make money... Customer service is a joke. They read from scripts and do not listen to a word you are saying. You may as well talk to a robot! I am completely dissatisfied with Priceline. I will not use them for any of the three companies I work and I will tell everyone I know not to use them. Unless you want to be ripped off don't use Priceline. Run over to a different website now.
Buyer beware! Google Priceline class action lawsuits, google Priceline reviews of their many victims. They operate on fraud. I have reported them the the State attorneys office, Federal Trade Commission, Department of Agriculture that regulates travel etc. and any state and Federal government office I can get a hold of including news channels. They need to be shut down for fraud. This time they have fallen under senior crime laws. I booked a Hotel room for 3 adults with double beds. They put me in a Hotel that doesn't have double beds and the max occupancy of the room they put me in is two people. I paid for 3. Apparently they make a living of telling now that you have booked and paid you have to work with the hotel to accommodate you in another another room that fits 3 people. That is deception, fraud misrepresentation and you have victimized a senior citizen that is protected under very strict fraud and crime laws. Priceline needs to be shut down for fraud
I just want to let people be aware that they charge a fee if you cancel within 30 days. So I booked a trip to the beach in 2 weeks and cancelled it, Within 2 days of booking trip. And now they are charging me over $300 for this. Well this is not within the 30 days because I booked within 2 weeks and because it's policy they will not refund me. So imagine how much money they are making when you don't read the fine print, ok all of these people they are charging this. But you don't know until after you book. They don't tell you, then it's too late.

We use priceline for a long time for any small trip. This time is my last time that I will use them, they don't know how to take a responsibility. I ordered online a motel with priceline Super 8 by Wyndham Idaho Falls. I never had such a bad experience with motel. First of all they give us a smoking room. Second the room was stink, there was dirt on the floor, holes in all the towels, all the sheets were dirty. In the bathroom there were dead flies. On the website it's say that they serve breakfast. That breakfast was a very unfunny jokes. A bottle of water, a muffin, a bar and a very tiny orange. If you don't want to serve breakfast Don't serve one. We were travel a lot, never had such a bad experience. When we call to priceline to complain which I never complain before. They didn't care at all. They didn't try to help. By aware that if you have a complain about a motel, you are on your own. They don't care
Shame on this company. Learned my lesson tonight and will never use Priceline or stay at a Country Inn and Suites in Murrells Inlet. Dirty, beds are broken and mattress' are worn out.
The Manager will lie to you and tell you this is a clean hotel. Don't stay here and do not book through Priceline. We thought we booked through them for the Holiday Inn Express to find out we were at this dump. Took pictures for proof it was that bad. Long night without sleep but will rest and head home in the morning without touching the FREE BREAKFAST.
BEWARE if you are not in the U.S. We reside in Canada and used Priceline.com to book a CANADIAN hotel. There was no currency type on their website so we assumed the price quoted was in Canadian dollars. The same day that we booked we noticed a charge on our credit card for a higher amount to Priceline. Only when we printed the receipt for the hotel did it indicate U.S. dollars. When we called Priceline we were informed that we were unable to cancel the reservation. We find this very poor customer service, and shoddy business practices. We are now planning a 50 day trip to Europe in the Spring. We will definately NOT be using Priceline.com for any of our plans
Bid for a hotel near houston intercontinental airport. Gave me a hotel 8 miles away. How the fu. Is that near the airport. 8 miles away. Ridiculous. When I called their customer no service. It connected me to phillapenes. The lady on the phone was no help and kept reading her bs script that i got a hotel in their shaded area. The shaded area has no mileage scale. I asked to speak to a supervisor in America. She said she would transfer my call. After holding for 20 mins, I hung up. Goodbye $ 80 dollars. FU priceline and Bill Shatner. Go F yourself..
