I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.
Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!
Do not use this site for anything - BIG FAT RIPOFF. Wanted to change a flight from Corpus Christi to Dallas Fort Worth - fare increase of over $1000 for a date change!
So much for supporting the military!
Well... never ever again.
This organisation is immoral and amazingly greedy.
Go elsewhere!
Be warned.
Oh and Priceline - Fool me once, fool me twice - now I will see it as my point to ensure that all my colleagues, friends and public now about your scam.
So angry and disgusted beyond words! And when I dared to complain I was hung up on!
Now I see why they have pricebreakers listed on the web-site, the prices are going to break you every time. I was looking for cheap monthly extended stay hotels. First ones I pulled up started at over $300.00 a night.
These people can't be trusted to rate a hotel/motel. I paid $119 a night for a room in Marathon, Fl. That was filthy, 50+ yrs. Old. It had no parking, except on the side of the road. The mattress/box spring was covered with stains and holes. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this place. Priceline describes the rooms as "awesome". What a joke!
Beware everyone! These scumbags entice you for great rates, then screw you if you dont meet all their "special" requirements. Should be put out of business by BBB, however, they are too big. Bunch of scum. Wish I could meet the person that founded this crap face to face, but that never happens anymore. You know where you will rot. Enjoy your short time here.
I booked thrifty car rental through them. Arrived at the counter and found it closed before their scheduled time. Priceline's response was that they could not do anything. I have had better service from Tripadvisor and booking.com. Much more reputable companies. I am canceling my next reservations through them.
I booked a room and on the priceline website it advertised that it would have a pool, hottub, ect... Well we got there and the pool and hot-tub were closed, the hotel was extremely dirty and other advertised amenities were not available. The hotel said we had to go through priceline to receive a refund since we booked through them. Priceline confirmed that all these amenities were indeed not available even though advertised on their website, yet refused to provide a credit or refund. We said would be fine with a credit as just needed a place to stay for the night where the kids could swim but they would not provide either. Needless to say priceline engages in false advertising and very poor customer service. We never stayed in the room nor received services that paid for and they refused to refund or change reservation to a hotel that had advertised amenities. We ended up going through booking.com and got a great deal that way at Residential Suites!
Tip for consumers:
dont use it! its a scam!

Booked a hotel@ RowNYC through Priceline. Priceline charged $800 and was told the hotel would charge $160 fee upon arrival. Upon arrival my card was charged $200 and upon checkout received an invoice for total fees of $160.64 so im assuming I'll receive the credit of $39.36 on my card. Instead I was charged an additional $241.87. To top it off we changed rooms 3 times because there was no heat. 4 days with a non working heater! NOONE will call back or return emails! Horrible customer service for both companies!
Terrible do not use priceline its a ripoff you think you are getting a decent hotel room and they are the bottom of the barrell. Disgusting hotel even though only. Paid 75 per night not worth 10 buck OMG stinks like smoke tub nasty could go on and on I learned my lesson anything that sounds too good to be true is!
They sent me a link and it wouldn't take my review; so here it is :) Economy Rental - What an absolute rip-off! They strong armed me into buying they're daily insurance due to no proof of insurance. Even if you use your own insurance they put a $1000 hold on your card; which most families on a budget going to Orlando parks don't just have laying around. By the time they tack on all the extra fees (a ton) it's more then enterprise with their higher end cars! Don't do it!
This product is great if you have complete flexibility on your travel plans, but a hard no if you have a specific itinerary, which was why I rated 4 of 5. I planned a very cheap trip for a girls weekend on there when I didn't have a specific weekend I had to go, and was able to pull off a trip everyone could afford, just be careful if you have more than 4-6 in your group, can get a little sketch. Overall, great if you're on a budget!
I would avoid buying any insurance offered through priceline. They will tell you it covers you, when in reality it may not and the policy will leave you hanging for any additional hidden fees (and there will be some). Plus if you have a claim, the paperwork to process it will be very cumbersome and time consuming. No truth in advertising with them.
Booked a motel in Penticton, Canada. The pictures online are misleading.
When we arrived at the motel and called them, they say those are ALL Room types that Motel has, not necessarily what we payed for, even though it is under OUR room type we booked (and other room types have their own Different pictures too). Asked if we can cancel without penalty, they refused and just hang up the phone!
We ended booking an extra room in another hotel 50 meters away, which is 50 dollars cheaper and closer to the lake.
Not sure how this kind of company can survive?
But definitely it was the last dollar they got from us.
I booked a flight for my daughter through Priceline. I received an itinerary from Priceline. She had to change planes and the itinerary didn't include her arrival times for her to change planes or when she would arrive at her destination - me. I tried calling Priceline customer service at the 800 number but only got recorded assistance even though I kept saying "Representative". I said "Itinerary" and all that happened was the automated system sent me an email with another incomplete itinerary. I simply want a complete itinerary and I have found it incredibly difficult to obtain one from Priceline. I will not book through Priceline again and I am very frustrated and angry.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Priceline if you need a complete itinerary and customers service assistance

Wasn't sure we could make the trip but thought paying the extra for insurance would get me room cancellation- wrong. It only covers catastrophic illness. Priceline refused to help even though I tried to cancel a month out.
I would NEVER use them again. Last time I booked we got a hotel that was no- where near the standard listed. Wish I'd remembered that!
I booked a flight and car bundle (United) then immediately tried to cancel. The car rental was non-refundable. Any company worth working with should give customers at least 24hrs to cancel. Working through Priceline. Google flights or working directly through an airline for similar costs and less hassle is something to consider. Beware before you use Priceline or any of the 3rd party booking sites. Remember they have to make a profit some how. Don't fall for unnecessary restrictions.

Hotel was not as expected! Save yourself money and just call the hotel direct. Why pay priceline for setting up a reservation you can do over the phone or the hotels home website? Wish I had of reasearched it more before using priceline!
I've been using them for about 10 years & always save something. Mostly on hotels, but I've gotten great deals on rental cars too. I spent 2 nights at a Park Inn by Radisson this week. The hotel web site wanted $116/night. I did the name your own price thing. Priceline suggested I bid $89/night. I took a chance & low balled them with a bid of $49/night & was awarded the room, at a savings of $134 for a 2 night stay. I don't always get such a substantial savings through them, but when I do it keeps me going back. Besides, Kaley Cuoco is hot as hell!
If I could give lower than 1 star I would. Booked a room, fine. Arrived, checked in and later that day found my plans had changed and I was leaving two days esrly. No refund! Yup, they are forcing me to pay the whole bill. I am a small business and cannot ask my customer to eat three nights when I only stayed one. So this trip I loose everything I was hoping to make. Lousy customer service, lousy early departure policy, lousy company. My first and last experience with them.
Tip for consumers:
DON'T
Purchased travelers insurance only to discover that only death, severe injury or serious illness documented by a doctor are covered by the insurance which must be filled out in an extensive claim. This was not explicitly mentioned on the website. Even worse, the best price guaranteed is only applicable within the first 24 hours, I looked at the airline 36 hours after just out of curiosity and they were were cheaper than price line! All their commercials are false advertisement as well as their website! Never trust them they are bamboozlers. I spent half an hour with a customer service agent who was rude and not useful at all!
Tip for consumers:
Go to the actual airline to purchase your plane ticket do not use priceline, it will be cheaper and they are way nicer!
I scheduled 2 flights through PriceLine - found a better price for $239 less per ticket. Apparently the price guarantee is only good for 24 hours. They didnt offer any assistance or remedy to resolve my issue. Feeling crappy! I will never use Priceline again and I recommend you dont use them either!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use Priceline - save yourself some money!
Please please please never book with priceline.
I am not a person who enjoys giving bad reviews. I usually let things go even if I suffer a little bit.
But, priceline has broke through all my tolerance limits.
Their customer service is terrible.
I had to make a change in my airline booking.
I called them and explained everything, they made an excuse that call your airline directly.
I did that, airline told me that they for sure are making excuses, the booking is through them,. They need to change it.
I called again, more new excuses and it went on like that.
I wasted my complete one day just to explain them the situation time and again and to reschedule the booking.
Ok i have a flight tomorrow my last name had an error on it just one letter I was in hold for over 30 mins trying to fix the situation are the people employed there idiots who has to go to their manager for everything and this was my 3rd call issue still not resolved on hold as I type this yet they want an extra 30.00 to change one letter but give you such a hard time doing so please don't use priceline to book your tickets thank you.
Priceline has over 500 1 star reviews on consumer affair website. I lost over $700.00. Due to pricline booking me and my family on nonexistent flight on spirit who also would not help us because we went thru Pricline. Never again buyer beware I relate it to my experience ordering clothes online from hidden Chinese websites..
Booked a trip and cancelled it within less than 24 hours. Spoke with Priceline on the phone and they told us that we would receive a full refund. A week goes by and we receive a refund of $16.99. Days later we can Priceline and they say that they can't do anything about it and they have to get other people involved and they will contact us within 3-5 business days. The lady was talking as if she was reading off of a script. She kept repeating the same sentence over and over again. Don't bother using Priceline. They'll take your money and rip you off.
Booked a rental car through Priceline right before the Coronavirus pandemic. I was informed soon after booking that travel is restricted through the military and tried to cancel right away but they told me to call back within 72 hours of my reservation as phone lines were busy. Tried calling back again a couple days before my trip and was told there was no possibility for a refund even under these extenuating circumstances when ever other company is issuing refunds. Will never book here again
