“Good prices/60% off”

I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.

Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!

Up until covid I would say we travel a significant amount. Booked a domestic flight for my son and myself as he was having surgery out of town. Surgery was cancelled due to covid so I cancelled flight. Had a credit for 1026. 00 usd. It has taken me several hours (4 plus hours) to book a simple flight with the credit. There is NO quality assurance as they don't put noted in and I'm not sure these so called travel experts have any clue what they are doing. Spoke to 3 different Priceline employees and still same run around. I almost feel like they are hoping I give up and let the credit go. I only gave a 1 star as realistically no star would be appropriate. I did my own leg work and spoke with WestJet to confirm everything but still more hassle with Priceline. I will do everything in my power to avoid this company.

Priceline straight up lied - Theyn charged me 594.00 for a 5 night stay - when we got our bill, it only said 475.00. When I called customer service to ask why? - they said its their profit? Your profit? REALLY PRICELINE? I will never book with you guys again!

I have been waiting for a refund from Priceline since August 5. They sent me an email and told me I would receive it within 15 business days. I finally had to file a complaint with the BBB. I received a response that my check request never went through. I can't tell you how many times I called and they told me it was coming "snail mail". What a ridiculous response! I also received an email from them with someone else's personal information. They informed me to "just delete it". I have never ever experienced such terrible customer service. We should file a class action suit against them. How can they get away this? Totally not fair and so unprofessional.

Priceline is a scam. Their name your own price never really works and if you buy insurance they will find any excuse not to honor it. I tried to use them and then was told that even though I bought cancellation insurance, I would not be able to cancel and that if I wished to alter my travel arrangements it would be an additional $400 fee. Yep, Four Hundred. Their customer service is non-existent. When you call, you get a crackly horrible connection for someone who rarely identifies themselves and then transfers you immediately. You just get passed back and forth to phone reps who obviously don't care or have the tools to help you. There is no email address to contact them anywhere on the site and when I tried their contact us comments section, I got an email back saying that they didn't get my full message and there for couldn't help me. There are too many other travel sites out there to support a company as deceitful and greedy as Priceline.

Absolutely discussed with priceline and customer servise. Will never buy from them again. Their best price guaranteed is a fraud and when you check your bank account charges is too late to fix anything. You are better off buying the most expensive ticket online than give away your money to priceline

I book a hotel with Priceline. I attempted to cancel the reservation because when I looked in my bank account, a different rate was charge for each night of the two weeks I scheduled it for. Priceline took my money. Priceline ripped me off. Total price was about 746$. Priceline took 1,015$ out of my account. I am now fighting to get my money back. They claim it's non-refundable. I will get my money back. Believe it. Be careful. They will rip you off.look at the pic To see how many times money was taken out of my account. On different dates and different rate. Be careful. I would show the charges, but it's not safe.

Tip for consumers:
If they offer to charge you a different rate for different date. Don’t make that reservation because they’ll tell you some are refundable, some are not.

There ad reads; choose from 3 hotels for $72 and After you pay via credit card they Select a hotel 25 miles away from where you are staying. Nice. After calling "customer service" which they need to look up because they lack the understanding of that service. And speaking to 3 levels of supervisors "we're sorry that line they got down but you screwed and that's our policy. Satisfy their customers? What's that? So if you ever need the definition of their policy just call customer service and oh yeah while waiting they hung up on me. Yes I'll be a return customer. NOT! Look at BBB 2 stars out of 6 gee what a surprise but hey they got my money so who cares. If this is their service during a pandemic You can just imagine their service Or lack of. Normally.

I made reservations and cancelled within 24 hours due to a change of cities according to their policy. A lady called me to confirm my cancellation along with my husband. I confirmed. She told me that they would send him an e-mail and that if he did not respond, his would be cancelled as well. Since I was speaking with her, I confirmed that I had made the reservations and that he would be with me and that indeed his should be cancelled as well. Months later, my husband and I are in Australia and they inform me that reservation was reservation was cancelled but that my husband's is still valid because he did not call them! So, 2.5 hours of me holding for a supervisor - long distance - we still have no resolution except to speak with the airline directly when it is not their fault that Priceline didn't cancel it. We are now out of money for a flight we cannot make and long distance charges to no avail.

I made a mistake and inadvertently booked two cars with Priceline within 9 minutes. When I called Priceline to cancel the higher priced duplicate car rental, Priceline refused to let me keep the lower cost rental. Terrible experience and I'll never use Priceline again. To claim Priceline has good customer service is false.

Do not rent anything through this site. Even if you explain to them that you are going through a hardship and will not be renting a car to go home, they will not refund any money that you put towards your trip. $400 dollars down the drain I guess. What a $#*! show...

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE THIS SITE.

#1: This is misleading people, advertising car rental prices from $11.00 per day. When I went to check it out the prices are not just double, but triple and quadruple over what they ben advertised.
#2: I tried to name my own price for car rental and was bidding twice the amount what they advertise, which it was $ 22.00 per day. They took all of my information including the credit card number, just for me to find out that my bid is to low and I should try to bid $38.00 per day instead.
#3: I resent the fact that they can get away with this kind of behavior. I wish if there was a rating less than one, I would give them zero.

I booked online, they set the wrong date for my trip and will not change it without paying full price, immediately after they got it wrong! You cannot get through to anyone on the phone or live chat and the hotel does not have the ability to change priceline bookings! What an outrage!

This review shows my naivety. Priceline claims that you can save up to 60% on hotel costs using the "name your own price" feature. I tried two bids prior to the recommended bid (of $72) with no luck. I input the $72 bid (after reviewing the hotel's site, which showed their rooms started at $79) hoping it would include additional amenities. I saw my total due to Priceline ($89.25) and the hotel's total due ($88.95) and realized that I'd been scammed. I initiated an online chat with a Priceline agent and he confirmed that I would be in a standard room and cancellations/changes are not possible. He referenced a "contract" that I had signed. In my excitement to "get a deal," I skipped the fine print. Don't get scammed. I'm usually a pretty smart cookie and they got me.

PS use other sites like justfly.com. Priceline has a bunch of hidden fees and stipulations you don't find out about until after you purchase the ticket, and then its so difficult to cancel a flight. They also charge you a non refundable $12 fee when you purchase a ticket even though you choose to cancel 5 minutes afterwards.

After spending days submitting bids on priceline for rental car, starting at $21/day, resubmitting by $1 more each time, they finally accepted my $34 offer and I booked. Mind you cars were renting for $37/day everywhere else. Within 1 hours I rec'd an email from priceline titled "About your trip to... on such & such date". This email offered me car rentals starting at $9. I thought it was a joke. So I proceeded to book a car at $9/day all the way through entering the cc info and it let me do it so it was legitimate. I got on priceline and started a chat. They were of NO help. They would not change it. They kept saying the same thing over and over "The cancellation policy is clearly outlined in the reservation before you book." The End. You're Screwed! Not worth the small discounts they offer. You have much more flexibility paying the extra $10.

DO NOT USE! Absolutely horrible. Had to change our flight information and they just kept bouncing us around on the phone to different people and it took two hours to speak to the supervisor who barely helped. Then they ended up charging us $1800 instead of $400 so we had to then call the bank and spend more time on the phone getting that fixed. Bottom line, do not use priceline.

Booked a room 3 weeks prior to my stay, the wife and I specifically asked for a non smoking room, because we have children, got to the hotel, they gave me a smoking room and thats all they had, after calling priceline, the lady went to explain that she will give me a refund but she can't help me with another reservation, I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm after a 24 hour drive, and waiting for answers at 18 degree weather, she did not care for my concerns at all. All she wanted to do was get me off the line and thats it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she did not want to help. I've always used priceline for booking and rentals for the past 4 years, they have lost me as a customer. No amount of credit can fix the waiting and driving to 9 different hotels to get 1 room for the night. If i could give you a zero, i would.

Reserved for wrong date, when I specifically remember reserving for Nov 19-21 (2 Nights). I got to hotel after work, no reservation. Receptionist pointed out the date Dec 1-2, I had no idea how that happened. I went to correct the date and could only cancel the reservation, not modify for the next week when I would need it, now I'm getting charged a cancellation fee and I have no where to stay.

This company is nothing but a big scam I mean nothing. They made mistake when booking my vacation which cost me more than I bargain for in the wrong hotel and destinations of my vacation and when called they say can't change to original hotel or destination for my vacation so in other word it was their vacation not mine and no refund either. The hotel was run down and nasty.

I tried the name your price gimmick. Basically you are given a price, but the disclaimer gives them permission to add what ever fees they want on top of the price given and there is nothing you can do about it.

Tip for consumers:
Dont do it.

We have to be out of our house tomorrow and our new place isn't done. I booked a hotel room to stay in until then. I found something cheaper on Priceline (huuuuuge mistake) than what I had booked originally, but made the mistake of booking with Priceline. I thought I was able to see if the hotel was pet friendly by booking. Nope. I'm not even able to stay at that hotel and they still won't give me my $300 back. The only way you'll get your money back from them is if you die. No joke. Pay the extra money for a hotel, don't use Priceline

Do not use Priceline or thrifty/ dollar rental cars. They took my money and did not provide a service I was on the phone for hours and did not get the issue resolved. The end result no car leaving my family stranded at the airport and my credit card was charged 282.00, The Priceline blamed the thrifty and thrifty blamed Priceline while I was stuck with no car and the bill. Scam alert… payment rendered and no service. Never again! The insurance is also a scam. They do not deserve any stars.

I booked a pricebreaker deal for a 4 star hotel. You basically pay one special price and they select one of 3 hotels for you. They give me a MOTEL with no housekeeping service. Their "spa" was a closet attached to the fitness center where they could do a massage. It was so sketchy. All furniture in room was from IKEA, and even the bathroom door had a 2 inch gap and wouldn't close! You can hear every single noise coming from everywhere. No water pressure at all in the shower. Original shower from the 60's. Popcorn ceiling...I can't make this up if I tried. Don't bother with customer service. It is outsourced and they will NOT help you under any circumstance. This was false advertising. I was in a 1 star motel, at best.
