I love Priceline, but lately it's a little slacking. As I noticed when you bid, you got to bid much more than just maybe 2 years ago. Big inflation on the prices. Pro: got some good deal before and easy to use. Con: cannot cancel and won't know the name til purchased if go through Express deals or bidding site. Hotels gotten progressively more expensive.
Thier ticket said free carry on bag...I had to pay 99.00 for a carryon bag...fought with price line for 2 months and many many hours of customer service...these people are liars telling me that a refund is in the mail several times. Do not trust these people!
So I booked a flight with Priceline because I thought I got a checked bag. I arrived at the airport and had to pay an additional $120 for my checked bag. I clicked on the baggage policy and was very certain that I could have 1 checked bag on my international flight. There were flights $80 cheaper that had cheaper checked bags than Priceline but again I was certain they had 1 checked bag since they were $80 more expensive than 3 other options. Once I paid an extra $120 for a checked bag, which seems like quite a lot, I called Priceline knowing they would at least match my price. They said they only price match until 24 hours of the flight. So not a fan... won't use them again.
Booked airfare to Maui for 2 tickets. Put in the dates to be 10 days apart. Got the confirmation and they booked the tickets to arrive and leave Maui the same day. Ended up costing nearly $700 to change the tickets to the right day. They would not work with us, even though we're pretty sure it was their mistake. Don't bother using these guys. Customer service doesn't speak English well and they won't work with you on anything.
I reserved a rental car from them and there is still 36 days until the trip. And they won't cancel my reservation. I just came back from another trip and rent my car from this awful fraud company and when I pick up the car, the car rental company charged me again. You always have to pay 2, even 3 times more than their listing price.

Very very poor customer service. They don't even care if the customer is happy. Our hotel had stains on the sheets and a dead cockroach in the tub, but Priceline refused to help refund or partially refund the room.
Priceline double booked me for a car rental because of a website glitch on THEIR end. I called their customer service and was told that because of their "No cancellation policy", they cannot cancel and refund me for the second booking—even though the malfunction occurred on their side! I am being charged for 2 cars for the same dates and same driver when I only booked one! They are scam artists!

Some of their car rentals have a no refund or no cancellation even if you cancel long before the planned rental. They do not make it perfectly clear. You have to read the contract concerning cancellations and refunds. I know I made a mistake not reading that before I made the purchase and when I made the purchase, it was not mentioned. Now they took my money and refused to refund it even though they can re rent the same car I rented. I will never use Priceline again. I feel that I have been ripped off.
Pre-rented a car through priceline and had a reservation assigned to Advantage rental cars. Was talked in to an upgrade at Advantage desk in Denver after I agreed and paid advantage they said SORRY we can't apply any amount you paid to priceline if you change your reservation. So basically priceline screws you and Advantage screws you by talking you into an upgrade and then charges full amount with no credit for what has already been paid to priceline. Just purchased a ticket for an international flight and guess what? For all the site ive been through priceline.com gave me the lowest fare, even the airlines is 300 dollars more expensive than priceline, and for everyone its not the travel agencies faults if you messed up on your purchased just because you failed to double check., all i can say i had a great business with priceline and i also called the airlines and they confirmed that i am booked and i am ready for the upcoming flight.
I booked a trip to Bali! Long story short the airlines cancelled it due to COVID. I called Priceline and they gave me the runaround for more than a week, telling me they were waiting to hear from the airlines. I keep getting put on hold and speaking to people who barely speak English only for them to come back and tell me the same thing. Nothing. First time and last time ever booking with them! Don't do it! Today I got tired and asked for the CEO's email address and phone number. The lady refused to give it to me. When asked for my Supervisor she tried to tell me she was the highest up and had no Supervisor! Unless she owns Priceline she's lying!

If you have limited travel budget, priceline is definitely a great lottery site to get good hotels at cheap price. I've used it few times, and so far so good. Definitely recommend use both priceline and hotwire to get the best bargain.
I had a last minute trip scheduled to Atlanta and worried about not being able to find hotel accommodations to suit my needs. Priceline not only found me a hotel suite at The Marriott downtown Atlanta, but I landed the room for $85/night, compared to the normal rate of $189/night. I now use Priceline faithfully!
This is a good room and the bed is very comfortable,
But i came to my room on my last stay here. They had locked me out. Said I had to call priceline again and make another reservation, thats crazy since I had already paid for the room. Some body needs to get more organized.

I called customer service to see what can be done, Nothing... They apologize and basically said my Priceline deal is final and no refund... I couldn't get a different hotel or anything... Priceline is a scam and their Customer Service Reps are greedy, useless, lairs. I booked my room and paid fully. The hotel overbooked. I have an email from the GM stating they refunded Priceline and Priceline owes me a refund. Priceline is now claiming I was a no-show and they're not going to refund my fully paid room. You see good reviews and bad on various sites, is it worth the risk to be one of the 2/5 people they rip off? All they need is a few good (or fake) reviews to keep the scam going.

"Kid not friendly" Best Western at Newark Airport! No Room to move about! Go around Bouncy Beds~ Queen/double. Twin sofa bed. Luggage closet which has a "door" = getting to bathroom! Remote incompatible w/TV. -5stars (negative) Entirely not what I expected for my family! Not Kid Friendly! Just another regular double bed " 1960's MOTEL room" ~Breakfast was EXCELLENT~
Had my business meeting moved from one location. In most cases I can call the hotel and simply move my reservation but because I used priceline, I cant cancel my reservation and now need to re-book and pay double for a room.
Horrible service recovery, on hold for hours, reps untrained how to problem solve and look into concerns. Do not recommend booking with Priceline, going to airline is much easier and Priceline will direct you to airline anyway for any problems, Priceline useless

If you decide to reserve a rental through priceline do not get their insurance. It doesn't even count for when you actually pick up your rental. I requested a refund for none use and they refused. Dont get the insurance through them!
Priceline is not to be trusted! Horrible hotel & stay & they would not offer any resolution to this problem! The ratings on the hotels are all made up! Never again will I use Priceline! If you like cheap prices & nasty 3 to 4 star hotels; Priceline is the right one to book with.

I found using this service to be more trouble than it is worth. I could not make a change I needed to make, there was no accessible customer service. Lot of effort for no real advantage. Use another service and avoid Priceline

The Express order on the site is just a money generator for them. Nobody is going to fly way out of your way and sit in a airport for 12 hours! Then when you try to rebook, they nail ya $$$$ ZERO customer service!

Latrine (toilet) non-ADA compliant, Hotel room mold, mildew, smells and like the toilet sewage! Remote control had disgusting soiled body debris! Priceline customer service haggled, deflected, and denied the existence of discrimination. Priceline staff never tried to help me book a hotel room, and I tried many times to communicate with the Hotel and Priceline. Many of the Hotels are refurbished Brothels@ Hotel staff was the worst! It took 45 mins to check, the male staff member tried to create a ruse, so I could forget my credit card. Priceline lied and claimed the talked to the hotel, but never talked to the Hotel manager. The hotel manager deflected the problems.
