Made a reservation for a car on Priceline, I arrived at my destination and the rental company was closed. The only option they gave to right the wrong was to cancel the reservation and rebook with another company at 5 times the rate because it's day of. When I said that it was unacceptable they hung up the phone leaving me stranded at the airport. Terrible customer service.
Decided to purchase two new Android phones from Everbuying as a friend had recently bought one from them.
The phones arrived within 8 days of payment,(very fast shipping).
The phones are very very good and totally as per description on the website, very good quality for such a bargain price.
We are very happy with our purchase and will be shopping at Everbuying for similar items very soon.
I bid on a car and hotel for California. I could not go for good reasons last minute. I called priceline and was told the reservations were non transferable non refundable. I knew this however, I had no control over not being able to go. Priceline keeps the money I paid. This is how they make money NOT on the commissions from rentals etc. The hotel does not charge priceline if the rooms are not occupied. They have the right to charge but they most likely don't. I spoke to priceline even the executive office and they refuse to do anything. Do Not Use Priceline unless you are prepared to lose lots of $$$$ if you cannot travel. This is unfair business practice. I would rather spend a few more $$ and book directly with car rental and hotels where I will get a full refund if not used. I will be using all social media to let the public know that they will be ripped off by priceline if they have to cancel.
We used priceline for a Hotel. Guest Inn in Nashville. The Hotel was nothing like the "comparable hotels". It was dirty, the toilet was broke, holes in the sheets, stains on the carpet, no hot water and no maid service.
To make things worse, the hotel even charged us a second time and still hasn't fixed it. I will get it fixed through my credit card company.
Priceline did very little to help and shouldn't do business with hotels like this.
Buyer beware. All Priceline wants is to make money and not deliver quality.
I used their website to find a car in Detroit for the week-end. I found a good deal and it said that it would be with either Budget, Avis, Hertz, National, etc. i. e the major brands. I made the reservation and it immediately changed my credit card to Avis.
The reservation confirmation that came back said that you could not cancel the reservation. However, it said this AFTER you had paid. If I had known this I would have never made the purchase since we don't like Avis in Detroit. You have to stand in line way too long.
Their "Chat Support" basically said that I should have known and sent me a copy of the contract, but once again you see this only AFTER they have charged you.
They should give you the name of the company to which your rental request is going and they should say you cannot cancel up front.
I will never rent a car from Priceline again. This is just not right.
Put in my search criteria to reflect pet friendly and then was offered a great fast deal. Turns out the hotel is not pet friendly and Priceline refused to refund or replace hotel. I've used them for 20 years in excess of ******* a year and will be headed now to a travel site that will respect my repeated VIP membership! BUYER BEWARE! Priceline is owned by the same company as Expedia, Orbitz, hotels.com and Travelocity,- so you might want to avoid those as well.
Don't bother. Second time I've used priceline to rent cars and both times they wouldn't let me pick up the car without a credit card. The credit card requirement is dumb since I already paid both times with a debit card, which every other organization on the planet will treat as a credit card. Will not use this company again. The requirement is not clear when renting either. And when I called, they said it's non-refundable, too bad for you, but we need to hang up on you to get to other customers. So I'm out $500 for no other reason than their rental policies are unclear, unrealistic and their service is god-awful. Never again.
I booked hotel reservations through Priceline.com. I traveled 2 states away, which was over 9 hours of driving. When I arrived at my destination, I was told that the hotel was overbooked, and they had no room for me. This was the LAST thing I wanted to hear, after a long drive and not knowing anyone in the area. No other hotels had room either, due to an Apple Blossom Festival occurring that weekend. The associate at the hotel front desk told me that Priceline "buys up so many reservations, without knowing how many rooms there truly are available. Also, Priceline doesn't share individual's contact information with hotels - if they had, the hotel front desk would have contacted me before my trip began, I wouldn't have wasted 20 hours!
Priceline is unreliable, and has terrible customer service. I have never received such poor customer service in my life. My boyfriend and I missed a best friends wedding because of the airlines. Priceline refused to find us another flight and give us a refund. They are a scam! Don't ever use them.
Why do you include Green Motion in your stable of rental car agencies? Arrived with reservation in hand only to be told they had overbooked and had no rental cars. Now I'm waiting in line at Alamo hoping they have cars available at 1:00 in the morning. Informed that I will be refunded "eventually." What does that mean? Recommend you cease business relationship with them immediately!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
