I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D

Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.

Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. I LOVE this company! The dress was perfect and exactly what I ordered! I would highly recommend buying from this website... don't let all the negative reviews scare you away... I honestly don't understand why there are so many of them. The dresses are the actual designer name brands at a very low price! I can't believe I got a Dave and Johnny dress that was regular $311, for $79! What a steal!

Ordered the dress from Canada on Tuesday and just received it on Thursday, absolutely blown away with how fast it came, not to mention it is absolutely stunning and fits me perfectly. I was a bit skeptical when I read all these review but ordered it anyways and I have no regrets. The dress looks like its way more expensive then the price I got it for!

The dresses were not true to size. They were too small. You only have 3 days to return for full refund. I could not get a refund since I did not call with in three days. Who has such a crazy return policy. NEVER order from them again. Stuck with two expensive dresses that cannot be worn.

This company has no idea what customer service is. There's an absolute lack of communication and shipping is slow. Pulling teeth would be easier than getting a refund or returning anything. Not happy.

Cute stock but disgraceful return/credit policy. Seven days for refund is unrealistic... no return for merchandise credit after that is horrible. Will never purchase from them again. Can not recommend this supplier to anyone.

Ordered a dress from here, it shipped and arrived fine, but I'm really not happy about the 7 day return policy. Very unreasonable in my opinion. There are plenty of other options out there and I am not going to use them again.

The dress came in three days, looks exactly like the picture, is true to size, and is great quality! It also came with a coupon of ten dollars off my next purchase. I will definitely reorder from this site.

Its too bad it costs $40 to try on two dresses. Selling specialty dresses is difficult but that is ridiculous especially when returned with the one week time frame. Looking at the number of one star ratings on this site Prom Girl should really look at the lost business in the future. Find a way to sell a good product and have a realistic return policy. Don't except worn returns. But the honest customers far outweigh the dishonest and you are losing them. I would be very careful before I would purchase again and cannot recommend to anyone.

We had an amazing experience with this company. Bought one dress which was too small, easily returned it for another and got the dress of my daughter's dreams. This is the first business review I have ever bothered to write.

Definitely shopping here Senior year too.

This was my second purchase in 6 months and I am now a lifetime customer. I have been impressed with both dresses and their extremely fast shipping. Will continue to use them for my daughters senior prom and Pearls dance next year as well.

What a rip-off place this is. Haven't even received the cheap looking dress yet but they give very unclear shipping options - the standard UPS ground is default while at the same time they "guarantee" to deliver by whenever you need it. Not true. And guess what - they charge a re-stocking fee for any returns. Don't order from "PromGirl"

My dress is gorgeous and looks amazing. But they definitely could've done better. The lace on the dress is the worst material I've ever seen, it's so cheap and tacky. Same with the zipper. Like I get so much anxiety zipping it up and down because I'm scared it'll rip. Also the sizes need to be fixed. Someone who is extra small & has a 24" waist will most likely not be blessed with a 33" bust and 37" hips? Like it's pretty idealistic. The top of my dress is completely covered in lace detailing so I cannot properly get it tightened because it will ruin the design. Either they should have more realistic sizes or let you put in Your measurements.

As the mom who placed the order, I found that my daughter decided too late to return her dress. I checked all emails, the policy was not there. It was in small print inside the box. Beware you have 7 days. Not long enough for my teen to decide and take action. Now we are stuck with a dress she won't be wearing. Return policy is much better on other sites!

BUYER BEWARE! We ordered a prom dress and it did not fit. We returned within 5 days with the tags still on it and were charged a 10% restocking fee.no where on the website could we find the notice of the fee. To ad insult to injury they told us they would give us store credit of which we reluctantly accepted. The operator put me on hold and then changed his mind and tod me could not offer any credit.

Very very disappointed. With three daughters nearing communion age I will be looking elsewhere. I figure with sweet 16 parties, proms and other formats, they lost thousands to save 27 bucks. Bad business decision.

UPDATE****** Hey Prom Girl, I just spent a $1000 on a dress for my daughter... with another company. Can you hear your profits shrinking?

Quality of dress was ridiculous... the absolute worse I have EVER seen in my entire life! $100 worth of junk! Never again buy a dress online thanks to this website. The workmanship was so poor, how can they possibly feel good about selling a product like that... STAY AWAY from this site! You have been warned!

The dress we ordered was nothing remotely like the color pictured on the website and the sizing is much smaller than standard manufacturers. Their customer service reps were rude and unrelenting. I offered to ship the dress back in exchange for another size larger (and pay a re-stocking fee) and they refused. I did all of this within 12 hours of receiving the dress. I am absolutely appalled at the responses we were given. DO NOT order from this company unless you are okay with major color variations and be sure to order a larger size than you normally wear. I will NEVER patronize them again... and will be sure to let others know about our dissatisfaction... Kari Wright Warren

I bought a couple of dresses here. The last dress I bought was way too big and did not know they have only a 7 day return policy. The company is located in India, also didn't know that, so you can get no management help.
Don't buy from here online, if it does not fit you are stuck with an expensive dress, they will not work with you at all on returns or exchanges!

They will not return anything even for a store credit if you don't call right away! Then when someone was finally on the phone they were rude! The dresses are not sized correctly! Their website has the sizes way wrong

This can be done on our site or by contacting us via phone, email, or chat. In regards to sizing, each designer will have their own sizing standards so a size chart is provided for every dress. My step-daughter ordered from the plus-size section. She is a size 16. The dress came 5 inches too small. When we called to get a replacement, they insinuated that she was "too large" for their dresses. WHAT?!?! You DO NOT speak to teenage girls that way. Shame on you.

You have 5 days to return from the date of the Fed Ex package date even if you do not receive it... we spent $260 on a dress that we now cannot return and it's still in original packaging. I would shop other places - this site is really expensive with an intentionally short return policy (the shortest I have ever seen) so you're screwed and no exceptions. Don't order from this site.

Tip for consumers:
Shop other sites like Lulus - this site is expensive and has a terrible return policy.

Doesn't get any worse than this. The dresses I ordered are extremely low quality and look very cheap. In addition, they came in all wrinkly, and when I tried to return them, I was told that they were not in the original condition. I requested pictures of new orders to prove my point, but with no luck. This is an awful business -- avoid at all costs.

Brought for daughter's prom. Arrived in good time but now I have to sew poppers, hooks and eyes back on. They were there but have come off already when trying dress on. I know these are minor but when you have spent a considerable amount of money and then import tax in U. K. You would hope it was perfect.

We ordered a full-length prom dress ~ expecting the hem to at least reach the floor of an average 5' 2" young woman. While the dress was appropriately sized in the waist, hips and bust area, the length was unusually short & the dress skirt did not touch the floor. Very awkward looking. We could not return the dress because it was a "final sale". No measurements from waist to floor were noted. Usually the length is something we can adjust by hemming because it is usually too long. This time nothing could be done because there was not hem allotment.
