I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
I recieved a beautiful maggie Sottero flirt prom dress and fell in love with it. I noticed there were some odd folds I the pleating, but figured it was just from being folded in an box. Later did I realize the pleated are folded because there is a large rip under one of them! As well as the back clasps all falling off. Of course when I realized this it was far too late. I still love the dress and got a great deal. Just very disappointed that prom girl would knowingly sell a rip dress. As they say they do thorough inspections before being shipped out anyone 'inspecting' this dress would have noticed. So to say I am not 100% happy.
I was worried this dress would not flatter my figure. I'm about 5'1 and 150 lbs. I was wrong the dress looks beautiful on. I will need to shorten the hem, but the high quality of the dress is definitely worth it.
I am just so amazed at both your customer order, receipt and return service! I ordered a mother of the bride dress online from prom girl on a weekend and it arrived within 2 business days. I found a dress in a bridal boutique for three times the price that I found the exact same dress online. I will admit I was a bit skeptical about ordering a dress on line as I wasn't sure if it would be the same quality or service. However after some research decided to order. Firstly I was amazed at how quickly it arrived. However I was disappointed in that the jacket was a different size from the dress. I decided to use the chat function and contact prom girl. Cynthia assisted me during this chat and by the time I got off the chat a replacement dress had been sent. I received it in two days. THank you prom girl for the excellent and speedy customer service.
My daughter just loved the colors and bling on the dress. She loved it even more when she put it on it fit her like a glove. She looks gorgeous in it. She is so excited she can't wait to wear it to Prom. We will be using Prom Girl for prom next year and any events in between that.
My daughter ordered a dress from prom girl. The dress looked wonderful the zipper is cheaply made. We paid a extra $17.00 to get here in 3 days and it took 5. I called customer service the guy was very rude. I ordered it on a Sat. And didn't recieve it till Thursday.

PromGirl have the best prom dresses I ever seen. I went into their store for the first time when it was my prom and the employees in New York were so nice and made it fun. The dresses were beautiful! If I had another prom, I would most definitely go again.
I ordered my dress 2 months ago and they still haven't sent it. My prom is in one week and I just ended up cancelling the order. They said it would be in within this week but they haven't even shipped it or took the money out of my account yet.
Ordered a dress from Promgirl 2 years ago and had to return it since we ordered the wrong size. Followed their return policy and had no problems. This year we decided to return to Promgirl and ordered my daughters senior prom dress on Sunday, received confirmation it shipped on Monday, and received the dress Friday (less than a week!). The dress is beautiful and fits her perfectly. We would definately return to Promgirl again!

When i got the dress it was beautiful but i had to get the straps taken up bc it hung to low for being so low cut. The dress in shipping also pleated really weird and i tried to have it cleaned and re pleated but no one could fix it. Overall the dress has just been a hassle.
Never again. I'm having to pay for a complete take apart and remake because of poor quality. Omg I'm furious with this company. Beware people don't buy crappy quality. They refunded me 20%-25% after arguing with them about it. I couldn't have them ship me another because of timing issue and I was concerned I would end up with another crappy item. Ridiculous how much I'm spending because this company has poor quality items.

We then provided a 25% discount because a replacement with overnight shipping was declined. Please keep in mind that a discount was the only option once a return and replacement are rejected. I ordered a prom dress expedited shipping. It was lost by Fedex. I called to report it lost and was told that there is nothing PromGirl can do to replace the dress until Fedex declares is lost. Got confirmation from Fedex it was lost and PromGirl still refused to send a replacement. They also refused to refund me for my purchase. I had to file a complaint with the credit card company to get refund

I was so happy when I got a dress from Promgirl. However, the dress did not fit me so I returned it. I was going to order a new one but the policy says I have to wait 5-10 business days for the store credit to process so I can order a different dress. This is really inconvenient and now Im just stuck. I just wanted to exchange the dress for one of the same price but I have to choose a refund or store credit that cannot be processed in a very timely manner. Im very disappointed and am afraid that I will not be able to order the new dress in time for when I need it.
The store credit can take 5-10 business days to be available from when it is received back to us. If you do not want to wait, you can go ahead and place a new order. When we receive your return you can be issued a refund for the price of the item instead. A restocking fee would not be charged if you have a new order for an item of equal or greater value. Please contact us with both order numbers if you choose this option instead of waiting for the store credit!
I'm disappointed in my experience with PromGirl.com. We ordered a dress, and it arrived early. It fit, but it was not well made. We returned it, aware of the restocking fee, but I was charged more than a restocking fee with no explanation. I suspect it was for shipping, but I don't recall seeing that I was responsible for that fee either. All in all, it was an expensive way to try on a dress. We ultimately ended up at Nordstrom's Rack for a significantly cheaper and better made dress.

This is the first time I have paid extra to have an order shipped within two days and it actually came within two days. I am extremely impressed with the dress I ordered for my granddaughter and will definitely order from PromGirl again in the future!
Bought a dress with 2 day shipping to ensure it arrived on time for a special prom cheer event out of state. Dress did not come and Promgirl would not track and did not care. I still have NOT received the dress from them and made a trip to Kentucky and back since then. My daughter could not attend the event as we did not have time to shop for a new dress. Contacted Promgirl again and said they cannot even refund the 2 day shipping price of $22 even though we still have NOT rcvd the dress. They do not care, customer service is awful. Beware before you buy!
We're very sorry the dress did not arrive in time for your daughter's event! Assistance was not refused but we must wait until the package is delivered or it is returned to the sender. UPS has stated that an emergency situation or severe weather condition has delayed delivery. This delay is likely the fires that have been occurring and unfortunately we must wait for UPS to resolve this. Terrible quality, terrible customer service. The dresses are NOTHING like the pictures online. Made of extreamly cheap material. Charging $250 for a dress I wouldn't pay $1 for at a garage sale and they don't care because if you return it you still pay them a restocking fee along with all the shipping charges, so they still make money even if your not happy. I can't imagine anyone being happy with this company.
I ordered a dress two and half months ahead of time for my daughters junior prom. They first said it would be a week later than the date they gave me, then a week went by and I got another email saying they were not going to be able to send it and said it would take a half a month to get my money back.It has been almost 6 weeks and I still have gotten my money back. I have send them several emails begging for my money back and still NOTHING! Poorest excuse for customer service I have ever experienced. Never order from this company.
I ordered my daughter a homecoming dress in a size XXL ( she wears size 18 which is impossible to find) three days before the day of the dance. I ordered it 7:30am central time. I paid for it to get an overnight delivery and got it 9:30am the next day. The dress was perfect ad the Lady I spoke to on the phone was outstanding. I wish I would have of remembered her name. This is the 2nd time I've ordered from Prom Girl, I am a little disappointed. The fit isn't spot on, like the first, it's a little snug. Several of the beads and spangles have fallen off already. I will keep because my daughter loves the dress, and the color is stunning. We chose the blue. Delivery was a little longer than the first dress, but arrived in plenty of time for prom and was packaged beautifully.
