I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
So today I received my order from Promgirl. I was MORE than satisfied with my purchase. I recently tried the dress on at a store so I knew what it was suppose to look like. It was EXACTLY what I expected. My dress arrived two days after I ordered it. And it was FREE shipping. I would recommend this website to anyone

My daughter's senior prom was cancelled and her dress was unworn, with the tags on. After being unable to reach anyone by phone (offices are closed), I wrote an email asking for a refund due to the dire circumstances that caused the prom cancellation. I received an email back 5 days later that stated since the 7 day window of return had passed, I could no longer return the dress. Seven days after receipt, the prom was still on!
I had a few other dresses from another prom dress company that had the same return policy and that company quickly and very professionally handled the return. I have written the FDC about Promgirls' business practices. I hope no one orders dresses from this company!
I was in a rush to get a dress for an event. I got a short strapless mint green dress and paid an extra $22 for 2 day shipping. It took almost 4 days to get the dress and when I did I tried it on and had a problem getting the zipper up. Once I got it up, it split. I took it to an alteration store and they confirmed the zipper was extremely cheap and the dress wasn't made well. I will not be buying again from prom girl.

I am in the process of trying to return a dress that is unwearable. The lace is cheap and itches and scratches my daughter's skin to the point where it is painful to wear. Also the skirt is made out of material to heavy to flair. The dress is just not suitable and you have told me to get it tailored. If it was just a matter of having it tailored I would do so. I spent good money on this dress and it is unwearable. I am very unsatisfied and would like a refund.

I ordered a simple yet elegant dress that I thought would look absolutely amazing on methought wrong. I tried it in the day I got it and it looked like I put on a curtain and called it a day. The zipper barely wanted to close and when it did my breasts felt like they were going to break the entire thing. I sent it for a refund and have yet to hear back.

We ordered a beautiful dress, but the site said it was ivory... when we received it, it was clearly white. Order# PG*******. I called customer service and spoke with Brianna. She was polite, apologetic, and gave me no hassle. She sent me a return label and assisted me in finding another dress! Thank you Promgirl!
I was completely scammed. I got a dress and the dress was way to big and super long. I wanted to return it or get store credit, I was told the dress can't be returned or exchange and they recommend getting alterations or selling it locally. That is the stupidest thing a company would say to a customer, specially your new customers. Alteration would cost more than the dress it self and who do I look like to them selling dress locally. Both Lynn the supervisor and Kathy the manager wasn't helpful, they both told me the same thing. I am never shopping here or would recommend to anyone.

I ordered a dress for a military ball. To make sure it would get here in time, i kept contacting their CS. They told me they can not upgrade my shipping, even tho i was willing to pay more and they kept telling me all different kind of excuses. Well after waiting for a week, the dress arrived AFTER the ball. Now returning the dresses is a whole other mess. The Hubby is deployed now and he is the one that returned the dress so untill i can speak to him i have no tracking number and after 1 1/2 months i have not been credited back over $500 as they say, they never recieved the dress. Never ever will i deal with this company again and their Customer Service is a joke! I totaly feel like they ripped us off!
I absolutely fell inlove with this dress when I seen the picture, I ordered it and when it came in, I could not believe how gorgeous the dress was. I ordered the blush and the colour is more pretty in person yet! I ordered a medium and it fits perfect I'm slim and am small at the chest and it fits like a glove. I ordered a dress for my daughter for her upcoming prom. We took proper measurements according to the website and ordered a size 4 dress. However, the dress that was received is closer to a 2 than a 4. My daughter is very petite, so there is no exaggeration with my assessment. Though very pretty, the dress has an insane amount of glitter. To further exacerbate this situation, I was charged an additional $175 for duty charges after paying $200USD for the dress, plus $40USD for shipping. I am in Canada, so imagine my surprise when this order came and the delivery person tells me that I need to pay $175 to receive my package! I spoke to UPS who recommended speaking to the company and asking them to absorb the costs. However after several correspondence with the company, the final verdict was that this was my responsibility. Had I been aware of these duty charges, I could have decided if that's a costs I wanted to pay. Now. I am left with a dress that does not fit her properly, and we will have to find an alternative. Spend your money elsewhere!
I know for me, I will never do business with this company again.

I bought the white graduation dress with the laced back and when i got the dress i literally cried. The material looks so cheap. The dress looks like it costs about $25 and not $100. I had to purchase another dress to wear. Im 5'4" and pretty slim, the dress fitted well however the torso was waaay to short so instead of a big girl flair, i got a 5 year old princess dress flair. Do not buy this!

I ordered Hannah S Dress ******* in size 6. Before I ordered I asked via mail if the dress is on stock.
They delievered the dress very prompt to germany.
But they manipulate the dress size! They delievered size 8 instead of 6! The size mark in the dress was changed by pencil from 8 to 6! All other dress size marks are missed!
They don´t answer to my mails. This is not a joke, that is criminal!
So weeks ahead before I bought my dress I was trying to figure out my size. I put my measurements in and it wouldn't give my my measurements. I tried to look on the cite and no size chart by the dress or the cite itself. So bought my dress by what my measurements would be based on other charts. Low and behold my dress comes in and it doesn't fit. Go on the site AFTER my dress came in and there was a damn chart. My prom is in 3 weeks now I'm royally screwed for a while
I took a chance to order a prom dress for my daughter after reading all of the negative reviews. They all were helpful b/c I was able to read the return policy and plan ahead. Prom is on May 7,2013 and I ordered on 02/24/13. I thought it would be worth the risk b/c my daughter loved the dress and found no other contenders. Thrilled to report that their website was easy to use, they shipped the dress the next day and we received on the 2nd day (even using ground service). The dress looks exactly like the picture and the size we ordered was spot on. Totally recommend this site for any prom dress shoppers. Sorry, didn't have to use their customer service or return policy.

First, ordered a dress and a shipping date was sent. Days later received notification that dress was unavailable. 2nd, ordered a second dress and received it only to find the dress looked absolutely nothing like the picture! Asked for a refund and sent dress back immediately. They refunded store credit. I had to ask for a refund to my credit card and now want to refund $48 less than what I paid claiming it was for a restocking fee! A restocking fee for their false advertisement of a dress that looks nothing like the picture.

When I ordered i thought that it wasn't going to make it in time so i ordered and in the next 4 days it was hear i had gained some weight but i lost it and now it fit. If i was you i would order again and do it all it over again. I really loved my dress and hey my prom ain't until Thursday say what and it is so so so gorgeous, beautiful, sexy, and pretty. I think you should order if you are reading and its not a fake post either.

Do NOT order from this website. I placed an order about 2 weeks ago, just received my parcel yesterday and got the completely wrong dress!, Not even the same designer. When i emailed them they said i could return the dress, shipping for that will be roughly $60 and they would sent me the dress i originally order ONCE IT CAME IN STOCK. No refund of any kind was offered and no apologies for my inconvenience,
The dress i did receive is also in very poor condition, not 20 minutes after having it the beads started to fall off and the zipper in back broke

My dress is a Madison James which I got from the today only deals and it came within 3 days ended up needing alterations that costed just as much as the dress but that was my fault in sizing (sometimes bigger isnt always better haha)
I have ordered from here before and I enjoyed it. But this time it was different. I always put my event date way before the actual date and the shipping was fine, but the quality of the dress isn't the best. It's scratchy and not very comfortable as my first dress was. And the sizing wasn't great either. And my dress came dirty and with strings coming out

We (my daughter and I) searched and searched and found that waist sizing always left her in between. Bust sizing and hip sizing were always perfect in the extra large. It seemed that all the extra large sizes ended their waist sizing at 34 1/2 in. Her size is 35 1/2. Which meant we had to size up. This caused us to have to have the bust altered. It really is a hassle buying the perfect dress and then having to have more work done on it. The dress was gorgeous and she looks amazing in it. I just wish the sizing were comprable to regular U.S. sizes.
I would not recommend shoping here. The dress that they said was available online wasnt in stock and it had yet another month to arrive at the company. The dress that i ended up going with was similar to the one i wanted however the fabric that the dress is made out of kept cutting me. I wore it lastnight for a ball and now i has scrates on my hand and my inner arms
