I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
The dress did not fit despite using measurements. When I returned it I was given a store credit that I will never have a reason to use! Nor would I want to after this experience.

If your dress arrives and does not fit, you are fine AS LONG AS YOU PURCHASED AT FULL PRICE! They will not accept even an an exchange if it was on sale. Bummer-I just needed one size difference. Not a good business practice.
This site is utterly terrible. I placed an order on this dress and it said it would ship by a certain date but then it suddenly went out of stock when I checked my order status. They were very quick to take my money and still have not even given me a refund. Then the next day I noticed the dress was available again so I contacted customer service about it. Then the representative tells me that the dress will ship on 5/27/15 even though it was listed as it'll ship on 5/1/15 on the site. Why would they put a date thats incorrect like that? Instead of fixing it immediately? So I asked about another color of that same dress as it says it'll ship within one business day. Then the representative proceeds to tell me that the dress will most likely be out of stock if i order it. WHAT IS THE FREAKING POINT OF LISTING A DRESS AS "IN STOCK" AND THAT IT'LL SHIP THE NEXT DAY IF YOU KNOW IT' WILL GO OUT OF STOCK. I just cannot understand. These people are idiots and unreliable.

We live in a small town in Colorado with limited shopping. Prom Girl offers a large variety of dresses, great prices, excellent/user friendly website! Great quality. Will definitely use again!
I ordered a dress from this website almost a year ago. It did not fit and I returned it with the tag still on in the original packaging and received a store credit. I have attempted to use my store credit on numerous occasions with the results always being the same. I am told always that the code is invalid and can not be applied to my bag. I have called customer service multiple times and had a miserable experience with the result being that I am still unable to use my store credit after spending hours filling up my shopping cart. At this point I am fed up and just want my money back since this store credit is clearly unusable on any items on there site. I am not interested in donating 42.95 to Promgirl and would n ever shop here again due to a total lack of customer service and worthless store credits. I will continue calling and attempting to get my money back until something is done about this, and I am made whole, but I will NEVER EVER purchase anything else from this site due to the absolutely miserable experience I have been having for almost a year now.

I had ordered a dress on a Friday night, I payed for three day shipping so it would be at my house by Wednesday. The package never arrived so I called them and asked where it was, they said it was damaged by UPS. We had to re-order WITHOUT a refund, but they promised id get it once the investigation was complete. With my re order, we got the first day shipping so it would be here Tuesday. It never came. I called again and they said that it would be here Friday. (ONE DAY BEFORE MY PROM) I have to go shopping for ANOTHER dress today because I cant trust the shipping of this company. I probably wont ever order from Promgirl ever again.
Dress was no make in America being it was very cheaply made and zipper was the zipper you would put on an infants dress. Not a a prom gown. It kept snagging but we finally got it up. Less than 30 minutes before we are supposed to leave for the prom the whole zipper broker we tried over an hour to get it fixed. No such luck daughter was in tears but had no other options we finally got is up enough to cover her butt. So she had to wear it like that to the prom... i want a full refund and i hope this help at least a few people... DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. THEY WILL NOT MAKE IT RIGHT!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! My dress came in the completely wrong color and is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP ordered a size LARGER than what I usually wear and it was still too small, then they wouldn't even let me exchange. CRAP website with CRAP dresses. STAY AWAY!

So, I placed my order somewhere near the end of March, and it said that it would ship at the beginning of April, which it didn't until 3 days later - and that was okay with me, as long as it shipped before May. I was initially a tad bit worried because the shipping times weren't exact, but it did get to me in less than 2 weeks (I live in Calgary, Alberta, for those who are wondering) and no, there is no way it'd take 3-5 days if you didn't choose express shipping. The best part about it was that I did not get taxed for customs or duties, thank the lord, i was worried because it did ship by UPS and i've had terrible experiences at UPS, but thankfully not this time. In terms of the actual dress itself, it looks exactly like the photo, slight color difference but not noticeable, the sizing was pretty spot on for me (measure yourself correctly, ladies!), and besides the delayed shipment, everything else was simply on point. Don't worry, i was skeptical at first because i was paying around $300 for my dress, but now I'm super satisfied with my experience there. Thanks so much promgirl!
Ordered a dress to wear to my best friends wedding. When the dress came in the material was thinner and more cheap looking than I expected, but the pattern was cute and it fit so I kept it. Fast forward 2 weeks to the wedding day, as I am putting my dress on and zipping up the zipper, the zipper gets stuck. Not stuck in any material. Just stuck. Cheap zipper. Would NOT BUDGE! Had several people try to zip it either up or down and nothing worked. Emailed customer service for several days and after many emails and pics sent to them, they tell me they can not do anything because the tags were taken off. They refuse to help whatso ever. They won't even give a store credit. BOTTOM LINE; CHEAP DRESSES, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Ok so my prom is on May 4th, 2013 and I had been searching for the right dress for quite a while & I came across this Scala dress on promgirl.com & I reallly really liked it I had heard both good and bad reviews about this website but since prom is just next week I decided to order it on 4/24/13 I chose next day ship because I needed it ASAP I received it on the 25th which was really great, i was sooo scared to get the wrong dress or wrong size etc. but I still took my chances and it was a great outcome! The color and the size were just right. It fit me perfectly :) I don't know why others have had issues with this company but I enjoyed shopping with them I would recommend this to anyone.:)

We are in a global pandemic and all activities are cancelled MOST PROMS WILL BE CANCELLED (ours is) for the health and safety of all people in our communities. Who would have known an unprecedented pandemic would have taken over the globe my daughter and I surely did not. Prom Girl should be ashamed for no refund will be issued for a dress purchased in February (who would have predicted this global crisis). My daughter cannot believe there will be no refund for a dress she worked to purchase. The dress arrived super fast, and its really beautiful! They even sent me a shawl with it. Though it feels a little bit bigger than in the chart, it still deserves 5 stars!

This site has many dresses that may only be returned for store credit (all of the nice ones). They charge you a 10% restocking fee on dresses you want to return as well and they charge you $8 for the packing slip as well. I am even more infuriated with the fact that I received a damaged dress and they still charged me a fee of $55! Selection of dresses is nice but unless you absolutely know what dress you want and you know what size works DO NOT BUY DRESSES FROM HERE
The majority of the items on our site are not sale dresses. The dresses marked as Sale Items will be returnable for store credit and it will state “This is a sale item and may be returned for store credit only!” on the product page. Please note the option for store credit would not have a restocking fee deducted and it is valid for 5 years from when it is issued. According to your order it has been noted that the product received had problems with the beading and the return fees can be waived once inspected at the warehouse. I should have listened! I told myself everyone gets a little harsh in a review. Ha. Not so. I did not even order from this site. I got a message that said my dress was not available in my size... THEY STILL CHARGED MY CARD! And the sister site, Simply Dress, I tried to order there. I got some error message that told me to try again. I did. Same message... THEY CHARGED MY CARD TWO TIMES! So now I have 3 charges for NOTHING tying up all the credit on my card! Because of these people, I cannot book my honeymoon trip until this BS gets cleared up. The card company said the charges are PENDING but that is BS. I ordered NOTHING. The charge will fall off in 10 days, but thats TEN DAYS for NOTHING. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY! Even when I call them in the AM it wont every change the fact that I cannot book my honeymoon tonight and I feel my wedding plans are off to a horrible start.
