I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.

The dress I ordered said it wouldn't fit me but it does. It came in super fast but the zipper seems to not work and the dress now has creases in it where they shouldn't be
STAY AWAY FROM THEM,! Worst customer service ever! I ordered a dress that came 3" longer on one side than the other. They did not have a replacement to send me in time for Prom so they asked me to get a quote to have it fixed. Got one, called them back and send picture of dress. Then they said they checked all the other dresses like that one and they were all the same hem. So even with a picture, they didn't believe me. Then they asked for a written estimate so I had to go back and get that for them. Sent it to them and they offered me $5 more than the cost to get their defective dress fixed. I asked for $10 more because of my time, gas and inconvenience and they said no because I chose to keep the dress even though they offered me a full refund. Hello... I had to keep the dress because of the timeline and the tux and flowers had already been ordered to match. Got the dress back from being fixed and lo and behold, I find that the bodice is only sewn to the bottom of the dress in a few places... big gaping holes that were never sewn. OMG - DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!
The dress is pretty good quality but the sizing is small. I ordered a 3x and it fits like a 1x. 3x was the biggest size I could buy so a little disappointed.

I order my dress online. It was a beautiful white dress that I was going to wear for my wedding. The dress shipped very fast via UPS. When I got the notification from UPS saying that my package was left in front of my door, that's when everything went wrong. I live on the first floor of a Bronx building, so obviously when I got home my package was missing. I called UPS to tell them my package was missing and they told me that I had to call the seller. I called promgirl to report my missing package and they opened an investigation with UPS. Well it turned out that because I had the option that they could leave packages on the front door "checked" they were not held liable. I went back to my UPS account to verify this information and their claim was false. I had never checked the option that they can leave stuff in front of my door. So I called promgirl back and asked for a replacement or refund, they said NO because UPs had "delivered" my package. A package that I NEVER received so I lost my dress and my money and Promgirl just washed their hand saying that they couldn't do anything for me. They lost me as a costumer. They didn't believe at all when I told them about my Ups account. They just dismissed my case without giving me my money back.

According to your order, our company spoke with two different representatives with UPS and they have stated that the customer signed up for MyChoice and allowed the package to be released. Because this was done, it releases liability and we can no longer start a tracer investigation. UPS recommend the receiver contact them and request confirmation of this action as they are not able to send us a copy. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused!
I ordered two dresses from this site, both available. The next day I receive an email stating one of the dresses I ordered is out of stock, theyre not able to send it by the date I need it. I said no rush I will wait till end of July, I really dont need it, then they respond oh the designer doesnt wish to fill my order. Bs
I then called on the phone to get the next size up and hope to get a discount so I can use the money to alter it, the girl spoke to the manager who was rude and decided to do nothing. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SITE, not pleasant at all, I have ordered many times from NEWYORDRESS.COM and very happy with their customer service. I will never order from this site again, after all they put me through, the should have accomodated me.

I ordered a dress in the color I wanted and as shown on the swatches chart which was teal, I recieve my order and the color matches aqua I call the customer service and they tell me to send pictures to their email once they saw the pictures they said the color wasnt right and for me to send it back so I did and now a week later I recieved the replacement dress in the SAME color. I am so disapointed with this store the color is nothing near the picture and that was the WHOLE reason I purchased the dress. DONT shop there horrible service!

I am not one to complain. I often think people are to harsh on these websites. But after my expirence calling the prom girl hotline I thought I had some ranting to do. I ordered a $378 dress for my prom, and paid $30 for overnight shipping. Imordered it Thursday at night so the next bussiness day would be Friday but it wont get here until Monday. If I ordered it Thursday earlier it'd be here, now, which is Saturday. Okay, whatever I can deal. Before I understood this I thought okay well I will call and see what's going on. I don't know the name of the person I got but it was the worst customer service I've ever gotten, I'm still in shock. She had a attitude and made me feel so stupid. I called again and asked to speak to a manager. The manager is what saved me from canceling my order and demanding a full refund. She was nice and understanding and said this isn't the first complaint she's gotten about the rude woman. I didn't get my overnight shipping reimbursed but I can live with that. I hope prom girl notices people spend large amounts of money on their site and their customer service should match the quality of their site. I would like to thank the manager for being so kind, and I may order from them again, they have a great selection of dresses. If you have get a rude repressantive on the phone please ask to speak to a manager or call back and ask to speak to a manager. It's a company's job to please the customer.
