I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
If you are thinking of spending money with promgirl.com, I would highly recommend to look elsewhere. Don't waste your time with their inventory.
Here is our story... my daughter began looking for dresses for her winter formal and found one she loved on Promgirl.com - so we decided to purchase the dress. It was $149 with free shipping. When the dress arrived we had one day before the event. She tried it on to ensure it fit and took it off to prepare it for the next day. We began to steam out wrinkles and noticed one (1) stain on the bottom of the dress. It was nothing too major (even though I just bought what I thought was a "new" dress) and decided we didn't have enough time to look for another outfit. The next day she began to wear the dress and within 2 hours of taking photos and showing up to the dance, one of the shoulder straps broke. A friend helped tie the strap together to keep going, but after the event and dinner which was a total of four (4) hours she came home to a dress that was ripped open on the waist of the dress line too. The dress fell apart through no fault of my daughter's.
Bottom line, within six (6) hours of her wearing the dress - it was completely ruined. Needless to say, I was upset for spending $149 on a dress that won't even be worn again.
I contacted their customer service and was told the following: "This kind of damage does not regularly happen with the dresses we sell. We do not have a standard time in which a dress would last, as that depends on many factors. However, they are not made for one time wear." Interestingly enough - they want to say this, but only offer a $30 refund.
I will NEVER buy from them again and told them I would do anything in my power to inform potential buyers of the rip off of this company and product. Do not buy from them.
I bought a dress and It was small, I was told to place a new order, ship the dress and I will be refunded for the first order, what I was refunded is less than what i have originally paid. They applied a restocking fee and dealt with it as A REFUND transactiona not an exchange. If I was told from the begining there will be a fee or their return label is optional I wouldn't have returned the dress and kept it to gift it. In my book the exchange for the same item and same price should be even IN MY BOOK.

Allow plenty of time. The first dress they shipped was missing a neck clasp and when we opened the package, 6 rhinestones fell from the bag. Even if the rhinestones had stayed on the dress, the placement was not symmetrical! We had to send photos before they would give us a Return Authorization. Then, they sent the wrong RA (it was for SimplyDresses not PromGirl), and we had to re-request. Then they said they couldn't find the order number (duh, it was in the email with the pictures). Finally, we got an RA and returned the dress with the UPS label they provided. They said they's ship a replacement as soon as we dropped the dress to UPS. BUT, THEN, they asked for a tracking number -- turns out they used a duplicate tracking number so they didn't know we'd dropped the dress off (days go by...) FINALLY, we got a replacement with all of the right parts and symmetrical rhinestones. Good thing we had time to kill. I hope the rhinestones stay on for the dance! So, beware, they don't seem to have appropriate quality control! And then they don't keep good track of paperwork.

I was trying to order a dress for their Valentine's Day (VAL20), and tried to discount one of the dresses they CLEARLY had chosen for the discount. I asked customer service for help because the discount would not work. Not only did they do a lousy job of getting back to me on time, but MARIA assumed I was stupid enough to not know how to enter in the discount code and lazy enough to not check the frickin dress I was trying to order. It took CAITLYN to tell me that the dress wasn't on discount, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ON THE WEBSITE SALES PAGE. Dear promgirl.com, if you are going to be lazy enough to not manage what dresses are on sale on the internet, don't f**king have sales in the first place so you don't give people the damn runaround for weeks on end.
Everything about this purchase was perfect. The dress came 2 days after ordering it and fit perfect.

In regards to size, you will need to compare your measurements to the size chart provided from the designer for each dress. You must consider your body type and the style of the dress. The size chart will highlight where each measurement falls on the chart but it is merely a guide to assist you in selecting the size that is best for you. The shipping was 10 days out unless you upgraded it for $20. The also put my order on hold for no reason which caused a further delay in shipping.
