I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
I let my daughter order 3 dresses in hopes of 1 fitting and returning the other 2. Not realizing they only had a 3 day return policy they are not giving me a break! We now have 2 new dresses that don't fit and they won't take them back. Never again!

I bought 2 homecoming dresses for my daughter to be sure of the size the end of September. I returned one and they received it 10/10/2022. It is now 12/13/2022 and I still have yet to receive my refund! 30 business days they say. I have sent several emails because you can't speak with anyone on a telephone! And to no avail I'm still waiting on my $200 refund! Never will I use this place again
I ordered a $300 dress from this website and tried to wear it to my senior prom. IT BROKE before I could even get to the prom and then promgirl refused to give me a refund. I had to stay on hold for about 15 minutes only to be told that they would not refund the dress or even pay to get it repaired. Thanks for ruining my senior prom!

I ordered my dress and got it on time, but when I got it all the stitching was coming undone and the dress fitted absolutely terrible. There is no way a dress cute like that could fit anyone. We are losing so much money on a cheaply made dress. I do not suggest ordering off of prom girl unless you want a cheaply made dress at an expensive price.

Customer service is horrendous. They would not accept my return because it was past 5 days after receiving it. I was planning on using them for multiple upcoming formal events, however, after dealing with their customer support team, that will not be the case. I worked for an online company and there is no way we would not find some resolution for the customer. Ridiculous. Not worth the money.

It is very interesting how many of the positive reviews are almost identically worded - slight change of 'arrived in 4 days' to '2 days' etc - just saying! I was looking to buy two $300 dresses for my daughter but after looking at the reviews I won't be!
Ordered a dress for my daughter for prom. It didn't quite fit- we thought with losing a few lbs it would be better but was not. Because we did not request a return within 7 days they would not accept it even though I was not looking for a refund just a credit. Tags still on it and never worn- very surprised by their response. Will never order from them again
We got the wrong size sent back a week ago UPS and still waiting for my return code so I can get the new dress by next weekend. Very stressful! They want me to buy a new and will credit the account supposedly once they receive the wrong sized one.

If the dress does not fit, you would have to return your item and wait for the return to process and the store credit to be issued, this can take 5 to 10 business days from the day we receive the return. If you do not have time to wait for your store credit to be issued, you would have to place a new order, for the style, color and size you need. As long as the new item is of equal or greater value of the returning item we can make an exception and waive the restocking fee on your refund. Prom dress shopping can be stressful! PromGirl had a million choices and the very first dress we ordered was perfect. It was exactly as pictured and described with correct sizing. Timely shipping, quality product, happy girl. If I could change one thing it would be the return policy. Restock/store credit prevented us from ordering more than one dress, so very grateful the first one was perfect.
My daughter ordered a prom dress from them. Unfortunately it didn't fit so she sent it back the next day. They take forever handling returns and they only giving store credit. My daughters prom is in two weeks…she's still waiting for store credit so she can't order a new dress. She is absolute devastated…and she's getting no help from their customer service department. PromGirl are going to ruin her prom because she will not be able to get a new dress in time, and she can't get her money back so she can go and buy her dress another place. Shame on you 'PromGirl.com'

BUYER BEWARE! Poor experience. I do not recommend purchasing any product from PromGirl.com. There are too many other reputable retailers available. I purchased a $367 prom dress for my daughter and need to return the dress for another size. Problem I pay for return freight. I pay for restocking fee. For all practical purposes I am restricted from shopping for a replacement with anyone else because Promgirl.com does not offer refund. An old phrase comes to mind, 'Salt in the Wound."

Promgirl was shown to me by a relative and now every time i have a dance or formal event coming up this is my go too! Forget about going to a bunch of different stores when Promgirl is only a few clicks away!
My daughter found a dress on promgirl.com in minutes and knew it was the one for her Sweetheart dance at school. I ordered it without hesitation because it was "the one". After ordering I read the reviews... But, we received the dress in just days of ordering and it is beautiful, no complaints at all. I know everyone has their own experience, but as for ours promgirl.com gets 5 stars.
They lie multiple times was I advised by their staff I would be getting a refund for alterations upon reviewing my purchase then told to wait a month for it and nothing. I call and get told sorry doesn't qualify no refund. And mgr Mike is also just as bad as customer service agents. Be Ware they advise false advertising to get to purchase and do not hold up their offers! LIARS

I have ordered multiple times and am always pleased with quality of dresses for very reasonable prices. Both of my girls always get asked where they got their dresses. Shipping times are always spot on. Never shop anywhere else.
STAY AWAY! I wish I had checked out this website first. The dress I ordered was very cute and fit my daughter great, but the zipper and straps were sewn in so cheaply and poorly that it had to go back. I got approval for the return, they said they would deduct 8 bucks for shipping. I just got my refund, they withheld the 8 dollars shipping plus 20% restocking fee. Go any where but here!
WARNING. Bought dress. Returned it. Used credit for new dress. Loved it and kept it. Contacted PromGirl.com to return our remaining balance. They said not they don't do that we get an $11.00 credit. And just exactly what are we to do with another dress. Are you kidding me. As is we followed their dress must be returned in 5 days rules that they were very clear about BUT no where on the site did it say they will not return the remaining balance. WARNING
My daughter is 5'11" and it's hard to find a dress that is long enough for her to wear heels with. Many of the dresses on PromGirl lists the model's height and the size heels she is wearing in the picture. That was a tremendous help! We will probably never buy from anyone else! The dress fits perfectly as described!
This company is horrible. My dress that I purchased looked very cheap compared to the photos. I paid $478 for a dress with a lot of beading that looked like crap. The cheap beading was literally falling off, so I returned it and was charged a shipping fee of $8 plus a 10% restocking fee. Customer service did not apologize or anything and asked me to send pics for proof. Their service is horrible and I do not recommend anyone to shop there. BEWARE!
I ordered a dress for my daughters semi. It arrived in a time, but looked very different than it did on line. I sent an email to start the return process and received a phone call shortly after. I explained to them why I wanted to return it. On line the top of the dress appeared lighter in color. It really was an ugly brassy color. It was very poorly made. There were large areas where it seemed to be missing sequence. They told me they would look it over and if they determined that there was nothing wrong with it and it looked the same as it did on line they would send me a full refund. Needless to say they charged me a 10% restocking fee and charged me $8.00 for using the return shipping label they sent me. I have never heard of such poor customer service policies in my life. I would never purchase anything from them again! From now on I will only deal with brick and mortar stores or Amazon, at least I know they stand behind there product.
Bait and switch... ordered a dress and they sent an email saying it was out of stock and my daughter would have to pick a different one from a list. Sadly you can still order this same dress online right now so how many other ladies are they doing this to? Don't buy a dress from them unless you want to "pick one from the alternative list".

I ordered a pink prom dress for $99. I was not expecting it to be as high of quality as it ended up being. The dress came within 2-3 days after ordering which was nice. The only complaint I have about the dress is the straps seem kind of weak, and I am very weary about them tearing since they are only mesh. Other than that, the dress is beautiful and I look forward to wearing it this weekend!
Ordered a dress according to the posted size chart... dress fits huge in top and still big in other areas. Exchange policy is very short... 7 days. I called after 10 days and they would not even consider exchanging it. Now I have to pay to have alterations when 1 size lower would have worked. I will not order from them again.

Prom girl has terrible customer service. Wanted to return a dress and before even asking any questions about the reason or situation, the person on the phone said no return was possible because i was a outside of the return window... never mind that I had tried to get a return authorization code on the internet and received message I had to call customer service because I was from outside of U.s. and customer service only available Monday to Friday so when I was able to call the number on a weekday the representative said I was " outside" of the return window. This dress cost nearly $500 with shipping and would have been fine if it had fit but it didn't. There was no other option offered not even store credit... because I would have considered another dress. To me this was unreasonable... the dress is still in pristine new condition, wrapped with the tags on it... guess I will try to sell privately to recoup a little of the loss. Will Never shop at prom girl again.
