I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
Bought a dress for daughter with full intention that she was going to prom based on the schools recommendation. On May 19th, we are told that prom is cancelled. I paid almost $400 for a dress that my daughter will NEVER wear! I understood the 7 day refund policy but like i stated, there was not an intention of not going. Promgirl does not care about this at all and is not willing to return me my money, even during this financial crisis. I will NEVER shop or recommend anyone to shop with your stores again due to your lack of compassion during this horrible time where our seniors have already lost so much.
Not only are the dresses wrongly sized, they are also overpriced and of horrible quality. If you hope to return any dress be ready to go through hell and back to get the job done. Terrible experience.

The website was easy to navigate and the gown arrived in a timely manner. It is stunning! It is difficult to find Sherri Hill where we live, so we were thrilled to be able to get this dress.
Just an FYI-for those that are complaining about the return policy, the 10% restocking fee is standard when buying evening gowns on line. Yes, gowns are hard to find the right size and run very true to measurements. It is best to contact the company if you are debating between sizes or fit.
I was very skeptical of buying a prom dress online. But I have used promgirl 3 times with all positive orders. The fabric used on each of the dresses were great quality. I am a seamstress and the sewing is excellent. Nothing cheap on any of the dresses we ordered. The prices are great. I always ordered early to make sure we got the best for my daughter.
My dress got there, after three weeks.(Norway) It was beautiful but the quality was bad. But the biggest problem was that they made my dress cost 80$ more than the actual price(!), because they ordered a private shipping car to my town. And my dad e-mailed them and in the start they would not admit they did anything wrong. Later they admited it after some couple of e-mails.
I do not recommend this page at all. Well at least I'm not gonna buy from Promgirl again!

I will not order from PromGirl.com in the future. I ordered three dresses at the beginning of February. The dresses did not arrive. A week prior to my daughter's event, I called and learned the package was lost and last traced in New Jersey. The only solution was to re-order the dresses at my cost. So I paid for two sets of dresses: $408. Over a month later, I have yet to be reimbursed for the first order that was lost. PromGirl.com also stated that they needed to make sure that I did not steal the dresses -- how rude! They believe that I, their paying customer, should wait until their claim with UPS is resolved before they reimburse for products ordered and not received. I am highly dissatisfied with PromGirl.com and I do not recommend their business. My rating is actually no stars.
I am a pageant title holder as well as my daughter. We order from this site all the time, everything comes on time and I am always pleased and receive great complements. At least they are USA located. One thing I learned bout on line dresses order two sizes up, they always run small easier to take in cant let out. Even if I order my size it's been perfect from this site... I love all mt dresses so oes my daughter....as a pageant girl, and a director I can tell you do your research, get great measurements measure your self at least four times have four different people do it and see which two come closest in measurement....don't measure with clothes on, do put your high heels on if a long dress....you can always ask me for more tips happy to share.....
Terrible Customer Service. My daughter's Prom Dress didn't come when it was due. They blamed UPS and both companies gave me the run around as far as I am concerned. The are not true to the customer and would not give refund to her. They should be ashamed. I advise not to order anything from Prom Girl.
This is the second year I've ordered my prom dress from PromGirl, and again they've done an excellent job! The dress was shipped in an orderly manner and the packaging was excellent. Both dresses I've gotten are absolutely gorgeous, and I'm glad to have found them on PromGirl! Thank you so much!
I would avoid this site at all costs. I bought shoes here for a formal event, and while they were advertised as a medium they were *at least* a wide width, and that's being generous. I told them the shoe sizing was wrong and returned the items.
After a 20% restocking fee (for an item that THEY described incorrectly) they would only give me store credit even though I searched for 30 minutes and could not find ANYWHERE on the listing that my item was store credit only.
I would rather pay more somewhere else than give this site my business again.
Amazing service. Beautiful dress. I cannot understand how others rate this website less than 4 stars! My dress came in 4 days! The sizing is also on point! I ordered DJ-7521 and prom girl.com IS AN authicated seller of Dave and Johnny dresses (NOT FAKE!) in nude and i should of ordered it a size bigger (my fault) but it still fits well :) order from them!

Beautiful gown which was even better in person. The pictures didn't do it justice. Perfect choice for Homecoming Court. The embroidery with beading sparkled and made this gown a standout. Measurements were accurate. Ordered a size 6 and fit like a glove.
I was a bit surprised when the box arrived! Shipping only took a week to my FPO address! It normally takes longer so I ordered early. One look at the dress and I fell in love. It is nicely made and the color is exactly as it was online! I ordered a large thinking that it might be too tight because I normally wear an XL but upon trying on, it fit beautifully. The length is just right! So pleasantly surprised and will definitely order again from Promgirl!

I initially got a size medium which fit me a little snug I have never had to return a dress before in my life by shipping it back and going through the exchange process but they were there to guide me all the way to make sure the process was smooth. I got the size I needed and Im absolutely in love with the dress its so much better in person!
I ordered a dress off this website and it's fabric is absolutely AMAZING and super soft. Although to be honest the colour came slightly darker but that is understandable as they try to show the best of the dress using bright lighting. Overall highly recommended website!
However the dress itself has frays on it which is causing the zipper to get stuck every time we try to zip it. This is even when the dress is off my daughter. We really don't have time to send it back and mess with all that so we are just hoping it works on prom night. Great price and fast shipping though.
Ordered a dress, did not fit, was able to send back but thought the 10% restock fee and $8 to print the label was kind of deceiving since they play up their return policy. I don't think there should be a restock fee if it is clear it wasn't worn and just did not fit. So I lost $30 on the transaction. I think we are DONE shopping for dresses online. My daughter used their chart, but the dress was way too big.
Dress did not fit even after following and taking measurements. The dress zip until the chest area and then there was approx 2.5 to 3 inches where the dress became very fitted and wouldn't fit. Dress did arrived the day before the dance which was awesome but when it didn't fit sheer panic set it. The fact that I can only return it for "store credit" stinks, I don't think I will purchase from here again since the return policy is so limiting.
There are certainly a lot of dresses, but colors and styles all tend to look the same.
The prom dresses don't seem quite as unique, fun, or even trendy... almost boring and dowdy. We've had great Homecoming dresses from here before, hoping Senior Prom dresses aren't a big bust!
The only good thing was how fast this shipped internationally (it took less than a week from USA to Australia). Otherwise, This was total $#*!. I ordered a really nice dress online, clearly a size 12. It arrived, with the tag saying a size 12, however the sizing on the dress was a size 6... clearly, I could not fit into a size six. Then the colour, oh don't get me started on the colour. It was, advertised online as a majestic purple... the only thing majestic was how horrible it was. It was like a mouldy plum, at best. I'm sure this is also partially my fault for ordering such a majestic colour, but oh dear it was bad. The good side for returns though, was that the online chat was really easy to use. The person helping me out explained clearly the refund vs return policy, and issued me a refund authorisation code. Hopefully that goes smoothly... This site has its up and downs, but thank god i ordered and got my dress months before my formal.
This "older transaction" is from March of THIS YEAR. There is no reason why a refund could not be issued to my credit card other than they want to keep the $$. Even if only a partial amount was returned it would show they were trying. Again, BE 100% before ordering from here bc you won't get a refund
The older transaction referred to is from your original order from 9/30/16. Because this is over a year and a half old, that store credit amount cannot be refunded. An exception has been made to activate the store credit from that order and refund the difference paid per our policy. This was done today, 4/13, and it can take your bank up to 2-5 business days to process the refund request.
Return policy says free for store credit, good for 5 years, or refund with 10% restocking fee. Just returned, got store credit but changed my mind and want refund. They WILL NOT issue my refund, bc the transaction is "too old". That's not in the policy ANYWHERE. Thanks * (customer service rep)

Horrible experience! Borderline unconscionable! I ordered a dress on 4/20 ans received it 4/21 (Wednesday late in the evening). The next day my family came down with covid symptoms and became sick. I was unable to attend the event that this was ordered for. I attempted to return today (5/1) when I finally had the energy to actually get out of bed and start the return. The rep commented to me cia message that we missed the 7 day return window. I asked for reconsideration based on the situation. I was dismissed and told basically too bad! Horrible!
