I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
Wanted to order my dress but the site said my CVV (on the back of the card) code was wrong so of course I kept trying to put my information in thinking it was something I was doing. I get an email alert saying my card was charged 7 times. Good thing Chase has such excellent service and took all the charges off. Scammers!
The dress I received looked even better in person than in the picture. I loved it. I showed up in a unique and cheap dress. It was the right size and I didn't even have to get it hemmed. I wish I could put it back on one more time. It was beautiful. I got so many compliments. At first I was nervous about ordering online but everything was perfect. I will definitely be ordering all my dresses from Prom girl.
Disappointed I sent one dress back because it was too small and ordered a larger size.
I got store credit instead of even exchange. Feel I should have gotten my money back and not store credit. Sizes definitely run small.

I wasn't home when my daughter's order was delivered and she was away at college so I didn't even open until she got home the following weekend to try on graduation photo dresses. Neither fit, and I filled out request for return authorization. They asked for more information, even though the information they needed was on the request as I filled out the form on their website. They stalled, and now won't accept my return. Even if they did, they only give store credit. I will never have my daughter order here again.

EXTREMELY sad. Ordered a bridesmaid dress. The dress was shown on the website under the PINK section/filter (I needed a light pink/blush dress). The photo used for marketing the dress-also a light pink. However I ordered the dress, and it came to me as a peach color. I am them told I can't return since it is"final sale". I was somehow supposed to see the small print saying peach-and not TRUST product integrity that the photo AND filter that their site provides are accurate. Seems extremely unprofessional and a poor way to take care of your customers. So so disappointed.

I like all the options - our second dress worked nicely - Seems unfair when you return a dress unworn, tags on and in 5 days of receiving you pay a restocking fee when they can turn around and resale it for same price a second time.
After reading a lot of mixed reviews, I hesistantly bought a dress from promgirl.com. It was supposed to ship out on Jan. 19, but it shipped on Jan. 13 and got to my house on Jan. 19! The dress looked just like the picture and it's stunning! The only problem is theres 1 gem missing. Otherwise, i would totally recommend this site to everyone. The lady I talked to was so nice!
Please do yourself a favor and do NOT order from this website. I ordered a prom dress from this site in the beginning of January. It was a size 4 and a blue color. Not until about 20 days later did they call to say it was out of stock. They told us there was a black one in a size 4 of the same dress and we told them that we would buy it. 5 days later they called to say that this dress was out of stock and our options were a size 6 in black. I am not a size 6! They told me that the money should be put back onto my credit in less than a day or two. It has been 4 days and they have not refunded my money. I will never buy a dress from this site again.
The dress we purchased is absolutely beautiful. The color was what we expected. The quality was great. The sizing chart did NOT match the measurements. My daughter is a size 2 and only 5'1" (so length was not expected to fit), but her measurements said she was a large, which we went with gut and did not select. We ordered a medium, which is still too big. I do feel free exchange is appropriate. Otherwise, it shipped so quickly and is beautiful.

Not as soft as I was hoping for, but still really good quality and it looks just like the picture. I'm 5'6" and the medium is a little bit long for me, so I have to get the top shortened, but it's a great buy for the price and the back is very flattering.
I ordered the dress my daughter had picked out, it arrived in the time stated and she loved it the minute she opened the box. And I will have to say, the dress is FABULOUS! This is a great site to buy awesome dresses at a great price. We will be using Promgirl.com many more times!

The customer service is very horrible at this company I was on hold for 15 minutes because the young lady did not want to put supervisor on the phone and then she hung up on me all over me trying to discuss my return and purchasing my new dress which is the same dress in a different color they wouldn't My discount code for the second dress which honestly Its exchange they need better training when it comes to customer service people are spending their money. All I was trying to do is that's change exchange a dress which they told me I had to buy it all over again then wait 15 days for a return on the first dress. Then they charge you eight dollars for a return label.

My daughter spent $218 on a prom dress. The buzzer system in our complex doesn't work so I left a message to call when being delivered. The delivery company never called and tried to deliver 3 more times then sent the dress back to the company. They wouldn't let my daughter change the delivery address and wouldn't issue a refund. They told her she could have store credit. We never even touched or saw the dress and why on Earth would we ever buy anything else from such a useless company? DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Not a fraud site! Theyre legit! Shipping is awesome and true. My dress fit great, though I didnt measure myself perfectly so my dress was bigger than I had expected it to be on me, but no problem what so ever. Communication is great as well. I also have a friend who has ordered from them three years in a row, so that should say something! Super cute and affordable for anyone of the price spectrum.
Purchased a 34" chest dress and it arrived on time and was packaged beautifully. The dress didn't fit! I measured it and it was a 30" back. WTH!
Requested a refund and then had to pay a gross shipping fee plus loose out on 10% restocking fee. Plus address given to me was not found in the postal system. Big concern:(

Just to add some positivity. I saw a dress at Nordstroms online, the night I want to buy it, it's unavailable. I look on Promgirl and it's in stock. I was extremely terrified of ordering from promgirl cause I had already read all these bad reviews. But I did anyway cause I really wanted the dress and I took my chances. Promgirl shipped my dress the next day, was on UPS tracking right away and I was able to track it. I paid for two day shipping, since it was the memorial day weekend it didn't come until today, which is still technically two days. It came quick, on time, right size, right color, in perfect condition, exactly like the picture shown on the website, all I need to do is alter the length cause I'm super short and I'm all good. I guess I was lucky, but I'm extremely satisfied with my dress and their quick service.
Tons of high school girls order from this website, and three girls ended up with the same dress because no one was aware that someone from the same school already purchased the dress. I was not satisfied with that, I then had to return my dress and now waiting 5-10 days to get my return & the dance is in 3 weeks.
I order 3 dress from them and none of them look like the pictures. And the last dress look like foam. I am NEVER ordering there again and I think u should save ur money and go to a different website. And their dress run small so watch that. I can not explain how frustrated I was. So unless you live in New Jersey and go to the store don't waste your time.

I LOVED my gown! I paid $99 for a beautiful gown! I paid for 3 day shipping but got it in 2. I found that most of the bad reviews are from idiots who simply don't read the return policy. You are always taking a huge risk ordering anything online... so if something doesn't fit, looks like the picture, or the color is a little off... it's your own fault. I took the risk and I'm happy I did! It looked just like the picture and it fit like a glove! The only complaint is that the gown was too long, but it just needed to be hemmed.

The website said my dress would arrive anywhere from 5-7 business days, and I received it less than 2 days later! The packaging was perfect--no wrinkles. I loved the way the dress looked on me and I am extremely pleased with my PromGirl experience! Would definitely recommend!
I will never ever order from Promgirl again! Terrible customer service regarding a return that was beyond the 14 days, they were unwilling to make an accommodation after explaining that my daugther had been ill. It was within a 30 day window. Additionally, I've ordered hundreds of dollars worth of dresses from them! The dress was too short, I wanted to purchase another one and wanted store credit, they refused. The chat agent Ciana was extremely rude and had a terrible tone and attitude. Do not buy dresses from this site unless you are 100% sure you don't need to return

First dress didn't fit my daughter's figure. Sent it back. Ordered a second dress and loved it. Called customer service and they refunded the first dress so I didn't have to have a store credit. Thank you for making the process so easy. We will shop again!
We selected a lovely red gown, carefully following their sizing chart specific to the dress. The dress arrived and in no way did it match the size ordered. The waist and hip were way too small and the chest far too large. It wasn't even close. We followed all return instructions, requesting a full refund to our credit card. Instead they issued a store credit. When I called to request the credit card refund, they asked me to sign that I would accepted less. They took about a restocking fee and denied the size was wrong. Deceitful and shoddy!
