I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
It came really fast and it looked just like the picture. The size is also very flexible because the straps in the back adjust to make it more form fitting. Overall the dress was perfect and so happy to wear it to ball!
I ordered my daughter's prom dress from Promgirl and when it arrived it was nothing like the dress that was being advertised on the site. I emailed the company and they told me that I could send the dress back but $8.00 would be taking from my refund for the return. Then they went on to say the warehouse messed up and sent the wrong dress. I advised them that the dress I ordered was the only style that I saw on their website so, how is it a mistake. They are false advertising dresses. The dress I received was a totally different color than the one on the website. It was similar in style but not the dress on the website. I advise no one to order from this company.
I made a return and received a full store credit for a dress that I bought. When I tried to use the credit I was informed that prom girl file bankruptcy and a new company took it over. They are not honoring any store credit.

The dress was shipped very quickly, the fabric is quality, sizing is exact and the construction is perfect! My daughter loves it! My mom is a seamstress and had to cut and hem a few inches off the bottom and she said it was made very well. Absolutely recommend Prom Girl!
After reading so many negative reviews I was stressed that I had made a mistake purchasing a dress from Promgirl. (I read the reviews AFTER I placed the order). I am now happy that I didn't see those reviews first because I probably would not have purchased a dress from them and that would have been a mistake. My daughter picked out a dress that was regularly $398 but was marked down 50% and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived today. (placed the order on Sunday and today is Tuesday) It was exactly how it appeared on the website - a gorgeous dress! I can tell you without hesitation that I will be purchasing from Promgirl again! Please do not let the negative reviews sway you away from this company.
Prom Girl was very accommodating throughout all my purchases i made, I made 4 purchases all together. I had old credit from many many years ago and without knowing my credit had expired, i tried to buy more dresses for my prom this year and it wouldnt let me but i just called them, explained my situation, and they were able to reactivate the credit i had. I ordered two more dresses and i was starting to get scared because it was getting closer and closer to my prom date, but all of my orders got here in a timely fashion of about a week. I gave them 4 stars because even though my experience was phenomenal, its just annoying how if you get store credit, that credit eventually expires which I thought kind of sucked, but my overall experience was definitely amazing and we will definitely be shopping on Prom Girl again in the next few years for my sisters prom!
I usually wear a size medium and from any other clothing website I've ordered from medium fits me just fine. I decided to order a large this time, just to be absolutely sure the dress would fit. The dress turned out to be TOO SMALL. And the material was way too thin and cheap feeling.
The dresses on our site are designer originals so each one will have their own size chart. In regards to size, you will need to compare your measurements to the size chart provided from the designer for each dress. You must consider your body type and the style of the dress. The size chart will highlight where each measurement falls on the chart but it is merely a guide to assist you in selecting the size that is best for you. I had an awful experience with customer service. I ordered a dress and was sent the wrong color so I had to mail back for an exchange and by the time I got my exchange I no longer needed it. I tried to process a return to send back but because it was past 7 days that would not even help me. The dress is still in the box never worn and they still cannot process a return after THEY are the ones that made the mistake in the beginning. I will NEVER order from here again and advice you to shop somewhere else!

I ordered this dress for my granddaughter to wear to the prom. The shipping was very fast and the fit was good. No alterations were needed. She really likes the dress. For my part I think the price is high for a dress you will only wear once.
When I was on the live chat and needed help, the customer service agents seemed to not want to deal with me. I was being an average customer, very respectful, all I needed was help finding a dress. When I said I may need some more help the response was, "Wonderful."

This dress is perfect for so many occasions and fits just like it should.We ordered a size XS and it fits exactly how it should. Perfect length and is very tasteful to be worn to many different kinds of events.
The dress was exactly like the picture! It feels like good quality and looks really pretty! The shipping came from America to South Korea in 6 days too. The size fit according to the size chart, however, the length was pretty long.
Prom Girl has so many amazing dresses! I gave 4 stars because the dress I originally wanted wouldn't come in until a month later because it was not in stock. But I chose a different dress and I love it even more! I'm so happy with everything and I love how they have a customer service chat box right there at the corner of the webpage. Great dress. I Love it! I did order a couple of sizes up. It runs a little small. Shipping was very fast and I had plenty of time to go make alterations to the length. Overall, I really love it and can't wait to wear it to prom!
I ordered a dress 2 months in advance for my wedding. 2 days before the shipping date, and 3 weeks before my wedding, I received an email from promgirl.com stating that the dress was unavailable and that I would not be receiving my dress that I paid for months ago. Now I don't have a dress for my wedding. I would like to warn everyone to STAY AWAY from this unprofessional website. What a joke!

Based on the latest update from the designer, it should have been available to ship on the date provided when the order was placed. Unfortunately they have now stated it was no longer available as expected and we offered alternatives. I meant to write this review much sooner but time got away from me... my daughter ordered a dress through them for homecoming. We ordered a size bigger based on measurements and we thought for safety but it came and did not fit... I followed the return policy to a tee but they still would not follow it at their end. (I have all emails and their policies from their webpage saved). The true kicker was their blatant lie to me, that it took five tailors a week to make the dress and could never be resold because they are custom. Well... I ordered the evening of Sept 10th and it was shipped to me the morning of Sept 14, it was at my doorstep 6 days after the order was placed and that included the weekend. So much for 7 days making! Moral to story, do you want to do business with a company like that, you can make your own judgment.

It is a stunning navy blue dress with beautiful detailing! The only problems I had with it was I am too short for dresses so I had to get the dress hemmed and the chest/bodice is very wide so I had to get that taken in as well. Other than that, beautiful dress and Im wearing it to prom! Im 411 and I wore a size small and it fit me perfectly once I made the adjustments needed.
I didn't know what to expect when I ordered my dress but I was sooooooooo satisfied when I received it. The quality, the price, the service... absolutely AMAZING! I'll definitely be re-ordering and also telling the girls for prom since I'm a high school teacher/prom coordinator.
F I could do less then 1 star I would. This dress is awful. The lining of the dress is thicker on the top then it is on the bottom (not seen in photo on website. Picture makes it look like one solid lining but it's not) The bottom is see through. I tried it with a slip and it covered the see through part however there is a line mid abdomen that still shows because the material is so thick up top. Tried to take to a seamstress $150 to fix which is more then I paid for the dress.

The dress was beautiful and may daughter looked amazing in it. I cant wait to order for her next two proms. This dress was for a pagent. Fast delivery was the plus, I had to have the sides taken in and shorten at the bottom, but that is to be expected. When you are ordering off line. But a plus in my book
This dress is exactly as pictured (the red is maybe darker red than the red in the picture but still very pretty). It came much faster than expected and was nicely packaged. It seems of nice quality. It is a little big on me but it can be altered.
We had ordered a bridesmaid dress and the bride wasnt pleased with the color. It was easily returned and we ordered a different color. Both colors were exactly as pictured and the second dress arrived promptly. It also fit exactly as described. Thank you very much!
I read the reviews before purchasing a dress and was extremely hesitant to order. After looking at video reviews on youtube I decided to. When finding a dress I did the live chat thing on the website and asked one of the girls a couple questions about the dresses I was looking at and she was super helpful and nice. My dress wasn't in stock so they said it'd take a couple weeks to ship out. I ended up getting my dress about a week early and could follow the shipment the whole time. The dress came and it looks beautiful. I had to get it hemmed because I'm only 5'1" and the dress itself is 5'0" but I expected that. Other than that the dress fits well and I cannot wait to wear it to prom in a week. I would definitely recommend promgirl!
I order a dress off of promgirl and it was the day before my homecoming and I order the overnight shipping and was suppose to arrive at 10:30 a.m. the ext day but arrived at 9:30 a.m. so I would definitely order off of promgirl again. A great place to get a dress.
I got my dress yesterday and I must say for the price that I paid I expected that the quality should be good. However, the dress looks cheap and the measurement is not accurate. It was not to true size and the company's return/exchange policy is horrible. Don't waste your time!
