I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.
Love the color and the dress was quality material! Only issue is that Im 5ft tall and 100lbs so I had to get it altered quite a bit even though I bought an extra small. However, this is a pretty consistent problem for me and Im glad it fit in the waist and chest! Shipping was quick and package was in tact.
I wish I would have seen the reviews before I ordered from this site. Customer service is HORRIBLE. Be very careful about shipping policies. 3 day shipping does NOT mean 3 day shipping as a normal customer would understand it. It is 3 day shipping PLUS whatever processing time they need AFTER they've already sent you the confirm that it has shipped.
A reputable company would disclose this and/or offer a refund on the exhorbitant 3 day shipping fee.

I have a military ball to go to on the 26th of this month & was going to buy from here but after reading the reviews i will pass. Its to short of a time to have mistakes that i read just can't chance it but the dresses are really pretty on the site.
Their return policy is to deduct shipping and a 10% restocking fee and only give you store credit, EVEN FOR AN EXCHANGE! I ordered a dress according to their size chart and it was too small. Then they gave me store credit for $50.00 less than what I paid for the dress and had to reorder it, pay full price again plus shipping. I would NOT recommend ordering from PromGirl.com!
I ordered a dress from here, although the waist mesurments were off I went with my gut feeling and got the size I mesured in the bust and hips and the dress is perfect! Fits amazing! And it's just like the photo! I'm only 5 foot so obviously some alterations were needed but overall everything was amazing!
I ordered a dress for my mom's wedding. First it was backordered, so I paid an extra $18 in shipping to make sure it would arrive in time. It gets here and the bust is way larger than expected. Obviously I buy a new dress, but now I can't return it because their return policy is only seven days! I am currently on day 9. I understand that I didn't check this (because if I had known I would have never bought such an expensive dress from them) so all I want is store credit minus the restocking fee. Not a lot to ask for unworn dress I got nine days ago! But they aren't even able to do that. I have never heard of such an awful return policy. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. Online dresses are tricky, and even if you are within the return policy you will lose money on return shipping and restocking fees. Not worth it! There are so many better options.

I ordered a prom dress and it came in less than a week but when I opened up the box I discovered something that looked like ink on my dress and immediately called the 1-800 number and they apologized and shipped out a new dress that same day. I received the new dress within 3 business days and it was perfect. It wasn't quite the color as seen in the picture but everything else was perfect. The beads and jewels were beautiful and I felt like a princess.
We purchased a white dress for our daughters graduation and when we got the dress it was actually baby blue and white. We tried to return in the very day we got it... first we were told that we needed to send a picture of the full dress both front and back. When we finally got the return authorization there is a cost to return the dress for shipping as well as a 10% restocking fee! It states nothing on the return paperwork of all these processes and additional charges... LET THE BUYER BEWARE!

I ordered a dress and paid 22 dollars to get it shipped within 2 days. I got the dress on time and it was very nice! <3 Sleeveless Beaded Prom Gown JVN by Jovani. I love it! I went to the tailor to make it shorter because I'm short. The sizing was accurate (size 2), The fabric was okay and I'm very satisfied with my purchase so far. Can't wait to use it on Saturday!
I have ordered two times from this company. First time great service, shipping and dress! Second time was a nightmare! My daughter ordered a $400.00 prom dress from this site and when the dress arrived it had a huge hole in it! So we call and they do not have a replacement dress to send, so I had to take the refund they promised me they would give AFTER they received the dress back. I shipped it on the 4th and it is now the 18th they have not even began to process the return as of today! I now have over $800.00 dollars in a prom dress because I had to go ahead and purchase a replacement dress! I have never seen such bad customer relations! They do not inspect their products, then charge me for it and make me wait WEEKS for a refund. Never again!
I couldn't be happier with the dress I brought was cheap and exactly like the image (plus good quality) and the shipment was fast (based in Australia) will be buy my dress from this site from now on 100% reliable
I ordered from this site without reading any reviews until I had already ordered my dress and I couldn't cancel. After reading the reviews, I was nervous as to what the quality of my dress would be like, or if it would even get here in time for my prom. The dress shipped in four days and I was thrilled upon finding that it was exactly what I had ordered. The quality of my dress was great. I will definitely order from here again!
This was my first time purchasing a dress from promgirl.com and I was beyond happy with it! I received SO MANY compliments on my dress, it was perfect! The size was accurate, it was exactly as described and the FREE shipping was super fast! I was very pleased with the discounted price I purchased it for. Yes, I will be returninig to promgirl.com for my next formal dress! *Only negative was the box that my dress arrived in was very small and had a lot of damage to it. I would recommend that the dresses be packed in a more appropriate and sturdier box than what is being used now.*
DON'T BUY FROM PROMGIRL! A website based company with a zero tolerance return policy is not a sustainable business model. Only risk buying here if you are 100% confident you will not need to return/exchange the dress! If you try to return it, they will not accept it - they have a zero tolerance limit on exchanges. We just bought a dress, which was too small, so we ordered the next size. When trying to return the first, we were advised the "5 day return policy had been violated" - sorry, but EAT the cost of the dresses! Never again!

I ordered a dress for my school's winter formal and the straps broke not even half way through the dance! On 1 strap the seam let go and on the other the plastic piece that holds the strap in the same spot broke. Also in the photo it looked as if the straps could be removed and they could not! It wouldn't even stay up without the straps. The dress was garbage besides the tool on the bottom.
The size chart is very off, I normally wear a size 12 but I ordered a size 16 (3XL) and it fit perfect. The shipping had some problems but I after contacting the site I got my dress within 7 days. The dress is very gorgeous and fits well. Good quality as well, super excited for my senior prom!
I am always in love with all the dresses I purchase from Prom Girl it fits correctly every time and I look stunning. I recommend Prom Girl to all of my friends that are looking for a dress for any occasion.
So this is my second review and my experience with the company was fine. I of course was very hesatent to order from them because of the reviews but I was so fed up with looking online and only finding Chinese based websites. Promgirl is located with the US so I was pleased with that. Shipping was fine for me, my dress was shipped the day after and received it literally in one week. It would've been soon but it was memorial day weekend so :/ I feel like people shouldn't order the fast delivery. They delivery fairly quickly I find 3-7 days and I just read that the fast delivery only shows up late. Also if you are still hesitate I strongly suggest that you look for dresses in stores. Its hard to tell which websites are good also if you have a problem with the dress I've read the policy sucks so just shop in person if you can. I hope you this helped someone!
I paid for 2nd day air shipping ($34) for 3 items and my items didn't arrive until 7 days after my purchase. Apparently they were closed for 2 of the business days that week, but that wasn't posted on their website. Additionally, when I called on the day my items should have arrived, my items still hadn't shipped yet but they told me it was too late to cancel my order or refund my rush shipping charge even though my items were going to arrive AFTER my event. Worst customer service on the planet.
We're very sorry for any confusion! Once an order has been placed it cannot be changed, altered, or canceled per our terms and conditions. The shipping page states "Business Days are Monday through Friday (non-holiday)." and our contact us page stated which days we were closed. They are scheduled to be delivered on 1/4 which is 2 business days from when shipped and the event date listed is 1/5. If you need to return the dresses once they have arrived, please feel free to do so and contact us if you need any assistance with the return!
Although my order was ordered one day ago and never shipped, they would not allow me to cancel my order "per their policy." So, I must wait for the dress to ship, then pay return shipping and pay a 10% restocking fee. All this while the dress just sits in their warehouse and they have to do zilch! I fully accept the fact that I would pay a restocking fee if I received the dress and then decided to cancel. But, I'm asking to cancel BEFORE the dress even ships! I will NEVER, EVER do business with a company like this again!
Unfortunately once your order is placed, you cannot change, alter, or cancel it in any way. This is agreed to at the time of the order. Our policy doesn't allow for cancellations because we begin to process each order as soon as possible and they are submitted to the warehouse or designer and cannot be cancelled with them. I have always came to this site when ordering a dress online. They do tend to run a tad bit big, at least in all of the dresses I have purchased, but it isn't a big deal. Shipping is always faster than expected and as a dress shopping procrastinator, I can always count on this website to help me find the dress I want and recieve it in time, even when I order a week before the event. Even when I got my prom dress from here and had to return it three times until I had an accurate size, I was always pleased, and they are always super helpful. The customer service is great, and I recommend this site to all of my friends.
The dress fit perfectly! It was as stunning in real life as it was in the pics online. I got so many compliments! Everyone loved it. The hook and eye clasps in the back seemed a little weak so I got them reinforced so they wouldn't break when I started dancing, but that was just me being overly cautious. Loved it! Thank you for such an amazing dress at such an amazing price and the timely shipping at a great price too! I will definitely be ordering from Prom Girl again! Thank you for an amazing night! The dress made my whole event so special!
I bought this dress for my daughter and it fit her perfectly! I would definitely recommend this dress to anyone.
I used the size chart on the site, she is 5'5 and 116lbs and the 5/6 was the perfect fit for her, we didn't have a problem with the length as her shoes was just the right height for the dress.
I ordered my dress for my prom online a 3 weeks before my prom (bad planning) it came in a week and i was so surprised. It was perfect and exactly how they described it. I live in New Zealand so i wasn't expecting it to come so fast. It also fit perfectly as i made sure i had checked the sizing chart to make sure as it was coming from overseas and it would be a big hassle to return it. Would defiantly shop there again for next years prom.
My daughter ordered her dress we got it and it was to small, it had the worst smell to it. We sent it back for a larger size and when we received that dress has the same horrible smell that you cannot get out. The lady who was going to alter it couldn't even handle the smell!
