“Won Second Place in a Dress from PromGirl”

I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D

Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.

I purchased a dress that I needed in 2 weeks and when I got the confirmation on the order I noticed they were not going to ship it for 6 weeks. I immediately tried to cancel the order and they refused. They said they didn't allow cancellations. They said they would ship it to me in 6 weeks and then I could return it to them. Of course I would have to pay for shipping and pay a fee to return it. What a ripoff. Dishonest way to do business.

AWFUL! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Their return policy is ridiculous. We bought a $170 dress for a homecoming. Her date got grounded by his parents and she couldn't go to the dance. There wasn't any way to comply with Prom Girl's "5 days notice" return policy. The dress still has the tags, is still in the bag. Never been touched but because it was ordered two weeks ago (so that it arrives in time for the event) they won't accept it back. And, for what it's worth, it is a cheap-looking dress for $170!

First of all, I love the dress. I had to get it taken in, but the material is really nice and it looks reasonably expensive. I bought it in burgundy, and unfortunately there was no colour option of it in burgundy, but it was pretty similar to what I thought it would be. However, I'm from NZ and didn't realise the price wasn't in NZD, (as it doesn't say USD next to the price). Therefore, I ended up paying way more than I anticipated, and also an extra $200 in customs as it was international and had a price over $400. Moral of the story, triple check the price, and know exactly what you're paying before you click order.

The dress we received came in a damaged box covered in dust. When we took the dress out there were loose beads in the box, as well as falling off as my daughter tried it on. When I talked with customers service they were fast to refund without letting me explain. My daughter loved the dress despite my dislike. We wanted to exchange for another but they wouldn't because the refund was already entered. As long as they refund me my money minus their fee all will be okay and I will order a new dress. But if I get met with issues I will be filing a bigger complaint. Customer Service needs to be more accommodating to the customers complaint. And not fast to put in for a refund. Thank you Tammie

To be honest, the reviews I read on this company ALMOST scared mr away. I ended up ordering anyway because the $50 dress I liked was on sale (as a final sale, no refunds) and I found a discount code online, so the final total was less than 20 bucks and I figured I didn't have much to lose.
I AM SO GLAD I ORDERED! My dress arrived in 4 days, fabric feels strong, yet soft, and looks exactly like it was shown on the model. I ordered my size based on the chart, fits perfect. Pretty happy with my purchase.
Btw- Dress is for a formal dinner on a cruise

My 2nd order from Prom Girl & I couldn't be more pleased. Sizing is true to measurements posted & dresses have both been beautiful! Customer Service is great & the shipping is also wonderful. Look forward to the next purchase from Prom Girl :)

So basically I Ordered this dress on 3/18/13 and it says it would ship on April 12, Well its april 13th and i check my order because i never get an email saying it was sent. Well while checking it said the dress is on back order and wont ship till the 16th. I paid extra money so it would ship withen 3 days for that my prom is in 2 weeks. If i don't get this dress im screwed because my prom date already rented a tux with that color. I'm praying it ships in time. I emailed promgirl and calling them monday. I suggest to STAY AWAY.

My daughter's dress had the "security ribbon" attached in such a way that she couldn't try the dress on without cutting it on one end. That voided their so called Return Policy even though the tags were still on the dress and it was obvious that it had not been worn and was in a SMOKE FREE home. I had to pay to have the dress returned to me. I will never purchase from them again.

I bought my prom dress from here 11th feb and it came this morning! I like it... though it is not as the picture looks. I bought Designer Ball Gown by Night Moves 6039 and it is more of a bluey colour than the pic. And i may get the dimonds removed going down the side as it is just a striagh line with NO gather of dimonds at the end. For only £124 i am happy. (good job i ordered it 2inches longer because it is perfect length, any shorter i'd be crying right now) The bad reviews was a worry but I would look other places before buying a dress from here. Hope this helps

The dress my daughter ordered for a dance looked NOTHING like the picture online. The dress was hideous and cheap looking. The top was huge and the bottom was tiny. THEN came the return process! The online return wouldnt work (I think it was rigged that way) so a chat window popped up. The lady chatting with me said I would have to take photos of the dress so they could inspect if it really didnt look like the online picture! UNBELIEVABLE! When I said I would never use them again, the lady told me it was just an idea... Again... unbelievable! When I demanded her supervisors name and number, I waited for about 10 minutes and she sent me the return information. I cannot believe this company! Never again!

My daughters prom dress came the day it was scheduled. It didnt even have any wrinkles right out of the box! We werent exactly sure of her size so we ordered a little big just to be safe. The dress was so beautiful, even more so than the picture. We had to alter it but we figured we would have to. The seamstress was impressed with the material. We were very satisfied with our purchase!

So I have wedding coming up and I couldn't find dresses for my bridesmaids; and I came across this website and found the perfect dresses and I called and I got the best customer service! All my questions were answered the lady was really nice to me. I placed the order for 4 dresses I had no problem doing that, everything was so easy and simple. Six days later i received them. They are in perfect condition, the color of the dresses was exactly what I ordered, the sizes were again exactly what I ordered and got the dresses just in time. I am satisfied with my purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to order again :) Thank you Promgirl.com

Hello. My daughter receieved the dress she was so happy on how it looked. Unfortunately after a 3 1/2 hour prom the beeding was falling off. She felt a little embarrassed becuase her friend told her "hey your beeds are falling from your dress" for what I paid for the dress, I would have thought it would have been a little better quality. Feeling a bit disappointed...

We ordered a dress for my daughter for hoco and the dress is cut funny and lays weird in the chest and back area and the lower back/ bottom of the dress is crinkled and lays funny. I asked for a exchange for the dress not fitting properly and was denied cause it was a final sale. The dress itself fit but how it was cut caused it to not lay nicely in some areas. They asked me to send photos, which I did then they told me some dresses need alterations and then they told me there is nothing wrong with it. I advised I would be filing a BBB complaint and writing a bad review. They didn't seem to care so that's just what I'm doing. Hoping the BBB can get my money back. Very disappointing. Never again. Final sale or not there is always exceptions.

I searched everywhere for a prom dress for my 13 year old and it seemed impossible to find a dress that would fit her... shes tall and thin and every dress we saw wouldnt fit right. I went on this website and I am so glad I did my daughter is in love with her dress and so am i... Fits perfect... great material and it got here so fast I wasnt expecting to receive that that quick... less than a week it was here... love it and I recommend everyone to get the dresses from here... fast shipping great quality and good prices.

PromGirl looks attractive and it seems to be a good price/quality. BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE!
Ordering from Europe the price is because of shipping costs and taxes etc. about 60% higher.
It is sad tthat a company with its target group teens and young adults does not warn clients properly!

I ordered a dress from this site for my 8th grade dance. The color was described as champagne and in the photo available online looked to be a very elegant color. The dress arrived today and the color is nothing like it looks online. It is a very unpleasant ugly beige. It seems very dumb to make customers pay a restocking fee for a company fault. And also $8 dollars UNTOP of the that. It is never the customers fault for ordering a product that looks nothing like the real life thing.

Shopping with a picky teenager for her 8th grade prom was frustrating until a friend introduced me to" PROMGIRL"., along with my teen, we started strolling through the pages and she fell in love with numerous styles and it was difficult for her to decide on one but she had to.

Ordered a dress for prom it was back ordered and not coming until after my prom so I cancelled the order. They sent the dress I sent it back they won't give me my money back and they have the dress! STAY AWAY!

I am 5'4 and 130lbs and bought a medium. I measure 34x26x36 and it was recommended by the website I get a large, luckily I didn't. I was very happy with this dress, but it was quite big around my waist and chest. It fits quite well around my hips, but there is some extra fabric there that is pretty noticeable. All of the complications I dealt with when I got the dress were very minor, and were easy to have altered by a seamstress. I am still very happy with my purchase, but definitely would've gone with a small.

Not only is the dress gorgeous! I ordered 2 and requested a return on a gown within 7 days and they immediatley emailed my return lable. It is high quality and convenient. I would use PromGirl again and reccomend you do too.

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE... Wow, how is this website still in business. They don't process exchanges, only returns for store credits which can take 10 days to process. If you want a refund it's a 10% restocking fee.

Worst customer service ever! DO NOT USE THEM

I ordered my dress on 04.07.2018 and received it on 10.07.2018 and I'm from Switzerland! Good job Promgirl. The dress looks like on the pictures and I'm totaly in love with my new prom dress!

It was my first order but not my last!

Pritty sure that I'm going to order again!

So, far I have ordered 2 homecoming dresses and 1 snowfest dress from promgirl.com. Every time I have been please with the quality of the dresses and they have fit perfectly. I usually receive the dress within 3- 4 days of placing the order. I am positive we will continue to order from this site for future homecomings, snowfests, and proms.

I didn't know that returns had to be within 5 days. Ordered 3 dresses, used 1, and now we're stuck with the other 2 because it took us longer than 5 days to decide. This made the 1 dress cost 3 times as much! DO NOT BUY FROM PROMGIRL!
