I competed in a pageant this past January with a dress I ordered from Promgirl. It came on time and my dress was great. I am short and so my mom had to fix it a little but that's not the company or website's fault. A lot of people loved my dress and while this was my first time ordering from there, I really do believe PromGirl is not a scam. Seconds after ordering, I got an email from google saying they would protect my purchase if anything happened. I felt safe the whole time. :D
Return policy is not clearly expressed prior to ordering. Refunds are not accepted and you are held captive to return business via store credit or lose your money outright. Shame on you Promgirl for taking advantage of the online buyer How is one supposed to know what an online dress will look like in person, but it doesn't matter because you already have my money. In this new world of online shopping, this practice is Absolutely wrong and deceitful.

My dress arrived on time. When I opened the bag, it had a funny smell and a few strings hanging off that needed to be cut. And it was a large that fit like a medium... but over all it was a success!
I was a bit worried ordering a dress online, but when it came in it was better than I could've expected. It fit perfectly and looks exactly like the picture. Would recommend!
GREAT GREAT GREAT! I ordered a dress for my Junior prom from this website. It was originally $150 but I got it on sale for $75. It was non-returnable and after reading other reviews I was very hesitant about spending $75 on a dress. I made the purchase anyway and the dress came in 5 days! I ordered a size 3 because it was the only one they had even though i'm usually a 0-2, the dress fits PERFECT (which means they probably run small) and looks PERFECT and I could not be happier!
I am very disappointed with Prom Girl and the lack of leniency they have shown during these difficult times! We ordered two dresses in March that we needed for a wedding next month (June). We get told this month that the wedding has now been cancelled so I email CS to see if there is any way we can return the dresses for store credit as they have been sitting in the closet untouched and unworn. I explained how we didn't see the wedding cancellation coming from back in March or April and if there was any mercy on their part with their return policy during these difficult times. They were not helpful at all with our situation even though they said they would do their best to help during these difficult times. We paid over $500 and now that money is going to waste! I was told dresses bought in February or March were too far out to return but this was right before Coronavirus got bad and we were unaware of what was to come. Extremely disappointed and will not be buying dresses from them anymore with these absurd return policies.
Fast shipping, and totally loved my dress. Bought 2 dresses so far on this website. One for Prom and one for a party. Came within 3 days and free shipping! Will recommend to a friend!
This is my second time buying from promgirl and it came in perfectly. Im 51 and bought in small and the dress fits nicely. Only alternation I need to make is to trim it down.
I received the dress after a week, the quality wasn't good it didn't even looked the same as the photo, i asked for RA and no one got back to me, waste of time and money, left me with stress

The dress is really pretty. Came fairly fast. The beading is different than i thought it would be. Its not black like how it looks in the pictures, its dark colored but from far away looks black.
This company is so behind the times, they aren't cool, they have terrible quality in dresses, and they will definitely take your money and run, every last penny.
I was a little skeptical about buying a dress online, but the dress I received fits perfectly and is just as pictured! I will definitely purchase another dress through Prom Girl in the future.
I purchased a prom dress for my daughter. Dress is gorgeous, however the measurement tool that is on the site is extremely inaccurate and as a result I ordered a 6 base on my daughters measurement she was between a 4 and 6. I received the dress and this was not a true 6. The dress I order was a Final Sale/No Returns. I called the company and explained the situation to a very un-sympatric customer service rep. She explained that it was a non return item, I then explained that I don't want to return the dress I just want to exchange it for the bigger size that was available. The "Return/Exchange" Policy is very misleading. However the rep advised that under "certain" situation they can make an exception, and she would have to reach out to a supervisor for help. Needless to say the Supervisor advise that she cannot do anything to assist me. "Once a dress is sold it cannot be returned and put back into the system" REALLY? That is the most ridiculous return protocol I have ever heard off. Anyway what really made me most upset is the attitude of both the rep and supervisor. If this is what they define as good customer service, I would hate to see this company on a bad day. 100% customer satisfaction, I think NOT! Bye Promgirl!

The size charts are provided by the designer of the dress and are to be used as a guide to help you select the correct size. Unfortunately if the item is marked "Final Sale-No Returns" we are not able to accept it back as it will be discontinued from our site. On the dress page it states: "This item is final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged." An exchange would normally be done by returning an item and using store credit for the new size, however this cannot be done with a final sale dress. They are cheating people out of shipping charges.
I paid for 3 day shipping and the order is scheduled to come the same day as free shipping was. Customer service would not refund my shipping charges even though I paid for 3 day shipping and did not get it in 3 days. Still have not received it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SITE AT ALL.

Very disappointed with PromGirl's service. I bought a dress for my prom back in May 2020, however due to COVID it was canceled. I was issued a store credit that was available to use up until 2025. When I tried to use it I found out that PromGirl was under a new LLC and I could not get my credit or money back. I did not receive ANY information on this and was ROBBED of my money. Not to mention the horrible customer service and limited selection of dresses. Thanks PromGirl for scamming me out of $230 (plus another $30 for the order 3 dresses and keep one deal) and making my Prom dress shopping even more difficult!

It has lose strings all over my dress I did the size chart and it said a large but it is four sizes too big. The strings on my dress are huge and there at least 20 lose ones

The chart will recommend a size to accommodate the largest measurement but ultimately the sizing is up to you. The dress I ordered did not fit. In order to return it, I was charged a 10% restocking fee plus return shipping. So basically I had to pay $30 to try on a dress. Never again.

First of all, I don't know whether I am more mad or sad about my experience. I am a high school student that has my junior prom coming up in January and I decided to buy a dress months in advance so in case anything went wrong, I would be able to get a backup. However, after shopping at promgirl I feel like I was scammed out of $300, and honestly can't afford any other dress at the moment. For a teenager my age, $300 is a lot, in fact i don't even have money for anything... Before ordering from this website I had read the return policy over and over again, I basically knew it by memory. At the time I had bought my dress it was at full price and not a final sale. After receiving the dress I felt it was too big and decided to return/exchange it, as I had just spent $300 and did not want to pay for alterations. I went online about 2-3 days after receiving and requested a return number. I had no idea how long it would take for them to get back to me so I waited it out. However, 2 weeks later and no email, I contact customer service only to have them tell me I can no longer return it because it was passed the return period. Though I absolutely knew I requested a number, they could only tell me it was not recorded and would not accept that it could have been a mistake in the system. I had a back and forth conversation, trying to tell them I was sure I put in a request and could not afford to keep this dress, only to have it sitting in the closet. They showed me no empathy whatsoever. Stupidest decision i have ever made shopping here, totally ruined the whole prom experience for me.
