You all have done exactly that... communicate readily and routinely. While I've never successfully won a bid yet, my next step is to engage a telephone on site person... help me achieve that since our Hawaiian Standard Time is often six or more hours apart from auction location.
I have won bids where my high bid ends up winning but no other bids close to mine, then I pay more than I should have. It seems like on line bidders are at a huge disadvantage, CS is for the auction houses and not the bidders who can see unfair practices right before there eyes. Be careful and save your money from this poorly run company.
I bought a tractor through Proxibid and Rebel auctions. When the tractor was delivered it had a broken glass door, the reverse gears were out of it and the PTO doesn't work. Nothing was mentioned in the description of the tractor. I contacted Rebel auctions of Hazelhurst Georgia and Proxibid neither were willing to work with me on a resolution. Proxibid gives bidders a false sense of security. On their site they state they have a professional care team that will help you meditate issues with a seller. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE. They will only tell you that you excepted the terms and conditions. Rebel auctions has an F rating from the BBB and yet Proxibid does nothing to warn bidders of bad sellers. I hope this helps someone so they don't get scammed like I did.
This was a great experience, I really enjoy the online bidding system available. The ability to bid on auction items from the comfort of home is a bonus.
Proxibid would be well served to provide more features to its search engine and summary page so users could add notes and rearrange dates for more convenient use.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE Proxibid. I bought my daughters first cars on your site. I have spent literally thousands and thousands of dollars and have bought stuff that I would not have had an opportunity to buy otherwise. If you do your research on the items you are interested in, you will not be disappointed. The only thing that gets to me is the BUYERS PREMIUM. It continues to sky rocket. I was on one auction site and the BUYERS Premium was 26%. UHG! Over All my experience has been WONDERFUL!
I purchased a van from an auction in montana through proxibid, l almost two months ago the auction had sent the Title by regular mai to this date I have not received title for the truck, I called the auction they told me they will have the original owner apply for new title that was a month ago, last week I called proxibid first they did not want to take responsibility and tried to blame the auction. Finally they opened a case contacted the auction and they told me the auction is trying their best to get me the title, I just have to wait. I called the DMV in Montana and they told me as of today they have not applied for duplicate title. My attorney now is involved. PROXIBID IS FRAUD even one star is high for these people
Due diligence is on you!
The description can be wrong (not there problem)
The picture can be wrong (not there problem) no joke
I bought a roll of pennies it was supposed to be a 40year old bank roll with the face of Lincoln facing out year 1959 on one end.
What I got was the tails side out on both ends and 1959 written on the roll
I sent 2 pictures (both ends) and the picture that there web site provided of what I was supposed to receive they said that I had to have a independent auditor evaluate
The roll of pennies... Ya I got ripped off plus I had to have the bank do a search of when they cashed my cashiers check they claimed they never got it on july 15th I sent them the bank statement proving they cashed my check on june 19th they put me in collection 2 days after they cashed my check.
Will have the complete story of these penny pinchers on facebook and youtube in a day or 2
Proxibid is good until you get scammed. Be warned, they ALWAYS side with the seller, and are NO help whatsoever if you find yourself in a bad place. Make no mistake, even if an item is misrepresented, which was the situation in my case... (I bought a card listed as first edition but it wasn't) they will do nothing to help you. I got my item authenticated by a professional (as part of their filling a case requirement) and all Proxibid did was contact the seller on my behalf... What a joke. That is them "trying" to help you. Their help only involves contacting the company, which you can do yourself. If they buyer doesn't want to work with you (which they almost never will), well thats the end of your case... sucks for you. I wish I would have known this before I started bidding. Don't get fooled into thinking they are the most "Trusted site for connecting buyers and sellers for high valued items" as they claim. You will get the short end of the straw with these guys. Unless of course you're a seller. If you're a seller looking to scam people, look no further! Proxibid is your safe haven, you don't have to worry about false titles, listing descriptions, or photos. None of it will mater, sellers always win here.
I've attached a photo of what i bough as "1st edition" and what a "First edition" case actualy looks like. I sent these same photos along with a authenticated note from a professional and still nothing. Pathetic
Tip for consumers:
They don't look out for you!

Software is crappy, hard to make a profile... for me it was like a day until i git it working.
So there are fees:
- INTERNET PRDMIUM!: This means that you need to pay here a premium as you are buying online.:"DDDDDDDDDDDDDD
- tax: ofc, you pay the tax, not the seller... (maybe i'm just European and don't get it)
- packaging + post
Than they ask for your full credit card info to be saved. And after the auction when the seller will be sooo nice to finally charge it, you will need to live ur card sble to do online oayments. You will wait days...
Something happens?: You pay a charge for it.
Never seen such a bad business model...
Tip for consumers:
only use it when you find super good things for super cheap... fees will spply! If there is a way, just don’t use it.

I bought an item through Proxid and got cheated. I purchased a supposedly "14K gold" pendant and found out it was plastic. I complained to Proxibid and they said tough luck.
I ended up returning the item to the seller(auctioneer) and then received threatening emails from Proxibid's Tom Clark stating he would "ruin my credit" even though I had already returned the item by certified mail. Mr. Clark turned this over to a collection agency to make good on his word and attempt to ruin my credit. The problem is with Proxibid is that buyers cannot rate the sellers as they can with Ebay.
The sellers can cheat buyers over repeatedly and new buyers would never know about it because of the lack of a rating system. However I found out that the sellers can rate the buyers and they can blackball buyers from buying anything at all on Proxibid. How unfair!
Found out the hard way that Proxibid always stands behind the sellers(auctioneers), no matter if they rip you off and even serve as a collection agency for corrupt sellers. They are being paid by the sellers not the buyers so they will screw the buyers for this reason. My advice would be to stick with Ebay where sellers are rated and that way if you get cheated, Ebay or Paypal steps in to help get your money back.
Will use them again for sure. Excellent auction systeme and very easy to use. The only thing that need to be lightly improved is the search module which is a pain sometime.
100 character is not needed to review you.Ok?
What would you like to hear? You are wonderful, well you're not. I mean you were just ok, doesn't take 100 characters.
Always a pleasurable and accurate experience when I bid through Proxibid. Very Professional with great auctions to look forward TO. THE STAFF HAS ALWAY GONE OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ASSIST ME WHEN I NEED THEIR ASSISTANCE.
Great Job
I have found most anything that I would like to bid on through Proxibid. Have had a great experience with Vendors, and super easy follow through. It has been a great experience!
It's important to know that proxibid doesn't actually sell anything. Proxibid is simply a platform for auctions and payment processing. It's the individual auctioneers who sell and describe items, set the shipping prices, and set the buyer's premium.
I buy and sell antiques, so auctions are a big part of my life. I like live auctions, but I also like online timed auctions, too. As a platform, proxibid is great. It's easy to search for specific items, specific auctioneers, regions, dates, etc. It's also easy to watch specific items.
What I don't like about proxibid is their auctioneer's policy. Auctioneers are allowed to charge whatever they want for a buyer's premium and the standard has now become 20%-25% which is just absurd.
That's bad, but that's not the worst thing about proxibid. The worst thing is auctioneers are allowed to run up your bids. So long as the auctioneer discloses it in the terms and conditions, the seller is allowed to anonymously bid on anything. Because names of bidders are anonymized, this comes very close to being considered "shill bidding" which is illegal.
Proxibid takes 10% from the seller's end, so the higher the hammer price, the more money the site makes. For that reason, proxibid has no incentive to change anything.
I still use proxibid because it's easy and convenient, but I only participate in auctions within my locale and ones with a low buyer's premium. There's no way to know if it's an auctioneers running you up or it's just a popular auction, so I only visit the auctions I know are reputable.
The people With Proxibid, very Knowledgeable & helpful & always They Keep Update & Easy To Deal With All Purchased & They Are With You until The Auction become up To the End, So I would Re Commanded to Every One Whenever They need To purchase Their needed They Should Go trough the Proxibid,
No matter how good the auction site is it is still subject to substandard auction houses. They are few but they do exist. Proxibid does a good job of representing the better auction houses.
Good auction, although I don't agree with including the auction fee in with the sale price at DMV. I think that they do a good job on sending you the paper work in a timely matter.
Quoted from Proxibid's User Agreement:
"Buyer expressly acknowledges that Proxibid owes no duty to Buyer to obtain the lowest possible price on behalf of the Buyer and Buyer may be able to enter a successful bid at a lower price if Buyer were to actively participate in the event.
3.5 Disclosure of Maximum Pre-bids to Seller. Buyer acknowledges and agrees that a Seller may have access to and knowledge of Buyer's maximum pre-bid and may determine the starting bid based in whole or in part on the amount of the
Buyer's maximum pre-bid; as long as the Buyer will be provided notice that such access to maximum pre-bids has been enabled by the Seller prior to Buyer's submission of the maximum pre-bid.
3.6 Due Diligence. Proxibid is not responsible for any errors or omissions in titles, descriptions, images or videos of items provided on this website or in Proxibid's bidding application. Buyers are solely responsible for verifying the condition and
Description of any items when considering placing bids or making purchases on this website.
Very efficient service, friendly people. I was able to purchase equipment online that I would have not been able to purchase due to time constraints.
Very satisfied with the experience.
Proxibid is everything in one place - the auction house and the auction. Always easy to get approved, always easy to bid and of course, win if you're lucky enough!
Very easy to bid online and very easy to view the items up for auction. My only complaint is that they don't let you know how many items you won and which ones you won.
The only online bidding site I use is PROXIBID. I participate in several auctions every month, and I will only bid in those auctions using PROXIBID. I know that if PROXIBID is conducting the auction it will be fair, and the rates will be reasonable. PROXIBID is the best!
I purchased a few items from an auction from Las Vegas Liquidations on ProxyBid.com. After winning the auctions I get a call from Las Vegas Liquidations with an outrageous price for shipping for these items. I buy items on other auction sites, and have for a long time, so I know how much shipping should be. They quoted me $65 to ship about 13 lbs. in items when it should have been $24 through UPS. After attempting to discuss this with the owner, Frank Odeh, he just hung up on me. Next thing I know he reports me to ProxyBid and my account gets a black flag. I called ProxyBid and they basically told me there's nothing I can do and I am done bidding on their site. I can't file a complaint against the seller, I can't do anything but pay that shipping amount to get my account back - there's nothing I can do.
With other sites out there that are reputable ProxyBid just isn't worth the headache. Also, when you go to ProxyBid.com on Google Chrome you get an alert from Google telling you the site isn't safe. Beware putting your credit card info on a site like that!
Tip for consumers:
Find another auction site - there's plenty of them out there that care about their buyers.
Love everything about Proxibid. I only have a problem with the auction company Michael F Dillard because they seriously over charge everyone for shipping
Really like all of the options given for different auctions. Very easy to navigate. Although I have not purchased anything yet, I'm sure proxibid will be a seamless process.
