You all have done exactly that... communicate readily and routinely. While I've never successfully won a bid yet, my next step is to engage a telephone on site person... help me achieve that since our Hawaiian Standard Time is often six or more hours apart from auction location.
I have won bids where my high bid ends up winning but no other bids close to mine, then I pay more than I should have. It seems like on line bidders are at a huge disadvantage, CS is for the auction houses and not the bidders who can see unfair practices right before there eyes. Be careful and save your money from this poorly run company.
Check the terms of sale carefully guys. This is a direct except:
'At the request of the auction company, this auction permits bids to be placed by the auctioneer, an employee of the auctioneer, or the seller or an agent on the seller's behalf. While Proxibid's Unified User Agreement prohibits this behavior, in accordance with UCC 2-328, this auction is permitted to engage in this activity by providing this clear disclosure to you, the bidder.'
And part 2, same auction:
'This auction company has requested and been granted access to see all bids placed including any maximum pre-bids. This auction is permitted to engage in this activity by providing this clear disclosure to you, the bidder.'
So, in a nutshell, it is somehow okay to allow the seller to not only see the bids before the auction starts, but to place their own bids. Sellers are plain kicked off of Ebay for that crap, it's called shill bidding, and reputable companies stay away from it like the plague. But not Proxibid.

I had a problem with the CC, the website told me to call customer service to see what was wrong. Well on the phone telling customer service what's wrong, they're telling me to re-add the CC, Try a different CC. When both didn't work they just said there's nothing they can do. When its there system that's not adding my CC onto my account.
I have used the same CC with them before...
Fix your system before you lose more sales
Sleazy Auction Houses That don't send your items! Proxibid suggests we the consumer contact the auction houses. But beware if you don't pay for an item, they shut you down in an instant with a black flag.
Cant log in after not using for a few months. After that now the auction wont move to the succeeding page. Stays on page 1 even if I change the page or item number. Now they don't even give assistants.
Proxibid is terrible do not use their site! They do not care about the bidder at all!
I have bid over $10,000. In 2011 and after several issues with items i had bids in for and did not win when i should have i will not use proxibid ever again. I have waited hours several time for item i was wishing to bid on and then something mysterious happens and the system is down or my bid does not register or some other ridiculous reason my bid was not acknowledged.
They will always tell you there was a technical problem and the auction house will tell you it was proxibids fault.
I recommend that no one should use this site if you care about being treated fairly!
I too have been ripped off not once, but three times. I am shocked at the prices people are paying for fakes. Having worked in China for several years, there is a huge market for fake antiques where they use acids and/or bury items for a period of time to give them aged patina looks to them and this is exactly what most of the auctioneers on Proxibid are selling. I would safely assume at least 50% of the items on this site are cheap Chinese knockoffs, yet nobody does anything about it. BUYER BEWARE!
Purchased 4 items at above Auction on 05/05/2017. The shipping costs $261 far exceeded all purchases we made. Recommend you advise people bidding this may happen. Had we known in advance we would not have bid on the items. Sullivnn and Sons (nice friendly staff) is OFF our list of companies to bid on PROXIBID.
Proxibid is only a medium, just like Comcast brings you HBO. Your quality of experience will vary with the auction company you use through Proxibid. Our auction company uses their service and from our side, they are a good, responsive company.
I am sorry to hear that some have had problems.

I do not think it fair or reasonable for the buyer to pay ProxiBids fee. The seller and/or consignor should be responsible as it is to their benefit to have as large a group of bidders as possible. Additionally, the internet bidder has an immediate 3% disadvantage in favor of the floor bidder. For expensive items, this disadvantage is substantial.
Huge rip-off for packing+shipping. When bidding over the 'net on a $55 item (small, 3lb), surcharges ($5.85), packing ($25) and shipping ($41.20) added more than $70 to the cost - significantly more than the item itself! Total scam.
Tip for consumers:
Packing and shipping is a huge ripoff.

The problem with online auctions is you cannot see and handle the item and have to rely on the auctioneers description. Most online auctions have description and photos, some the description are clear and knowledgeable, the photos detailed but many have the barest description, sometimes None and the photographs are very poor. I deal in firearms and some auctions do not show the serial number which does not help identify older guns also be-careful and READ the terms of business, some auctions do not pack & deliver goods and you may get a third party with high priced delivery services. One reputable auction charged me so mutch for one revolver I thought Kim Kardassian was delivering it personally. Before bidding check out a few auctions and without actual bidding select what interests you and follow the auction and add the commissions and delivery and see if the price is cheaper than say Gunbroker.Com or similar auction sights. Remember once you Bid its a binding contract
I bid online, went to live auction to experience the auction and pick up my welder. Everyone I encountered on staff were friendly, helpful and professional - I enjoyed it and I will be back. My only disapointment came when I got the 'brand new, never used' box (previously opened) it turns out it had been dropped and the machine was damaged. It's not worth the cost of a repair, so lesson learned. Still pysched to go again-
I had coins purchased from two different vendors about the same time as my credit card company changed the last few digits, extending the cards expiration date & increasing the credit limit. I did not correct the information on file with you until I was notified by the vendors that you had declined my card. Couldn't you have given me a heads up before they did? One has
Been resolved. Still trying to get ahold of the other one.
As far as auctioneers and their staffs go these people are very good at what they do and their service is always friendly and efficient, I have no problems at all dealing with them or questioning their service.
Well informed experience with Proxibid. Had no problems and was kept posted on the bidding process. The shipping information and process's could stand improvement. The shipping information should be processed up front.
I have participated in several auctions via the proxibid site. I have found it to be easy to see items, bid and follow up unlike other sites I've tried. I have referred my friends and they too like the site.
Was just bidding on some rings an auction Affiliated Auctions from Florida. All of a sudden none of my bids on the jewelry were accepted and auction showed "passed" I emailed them right then they said there were "reserves" but NONE showed any reserves. Then all of a sudden bids started at $80.00 instead of the online $20.00 they passed quite a few people. I emediatly asked for all my other bids be cancled but they did nothing (although they cancel bids for people at the auction)... So i contacted proxy got a woman who had the personality of an un-flushed toilet barley knew what she was doing but said too bad they can do what they want. BS never again
I recently bought 2 items off one of their online auctions. Both were listed as "untested" but I figured they probably worked so gave it a try anyways. I drove over an hour each way to pickup. Neither of the 2 items worked. I was really upset after I noticed a return label on one of the items that specifically said it was DAMAGED! I emailed the company and asked for a refund on that Item, seeing as how it wouldn't even need to be tested to know that it didn't work. The company never responded to my request. Of course the pictures that were given on the auction site didn't show the return slip... Go figure. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
Keep in mind that Proxibid is an aggregator that skims a nice cut off the top; that increases the price you wind up paying. The biggest problem is the auction houses that they represent are mostly a bunch of scumbag fly by night outfits; go visit a few; I have. There are a few that are fairly reputable, but the vast majority are not. Issues that I have had to deal with are misrepresented products, misrepresentation of total commissions, tacking on of extra fees, extremely slow shipping, poor customer support, and ridiculous rules to comply with. The most frustrating issue is when they sell the item onsite for the same price that I had earlier submitted. The best solution is to do what I am planning and that is to stop dealing with them. Good-by Proxibid.
I recently moved to America and I can't download Viber and Telegram, for this I need a proxy server, as I understand it. I found a site where you can buy proxies https://proxyline.net/en/ Has anyone used it? I want to buy my proxy without ads.
Made an account 10 days before an auction ended for a specific item worth a bit, had put 3 sets of card details in for veri and all was set. Logged in 1 hour before online auction end all ready to go. Got to 5 mins before auction end and the status on the account had changed to 'decline - not able to place bid' I tried frantic phone call but couldn't do anything!
I had got an email, 4 MINUTES before the end of the auction I was on asking me to send up further ID details! After the account had been there for 2 weeks!
Needless to say, what a joke! If they needed that why not ask for it when the account is opened, so angry
I recently bid on a car at auction and you can choose a pre-bid amount. I was leaving the house and decided to pre-bid on a car, thinking the auction would take place after I left. As it turns out I was still at the house when the auction happened. It was very strange, they show the high bidder online as the bid amount changes. Every time the bid increased it posted my name until it hit the max and I was the high bidder.
To me it looked like they ran the price up to my max, I could have bought the car for way less, very fishy looking. I call Proxibid after and they said someone was bidding, but I personally doubt it, no way to prove it. I recommend you be very careful buying anything that involves these guys.
BE CAREFUL Buying anything represented by these guys!
The bidding is easy.
Notifications are frequent.
You can bid locally or national bidding.
The financial aspect is easy to save the information and log back in quickly. L
Overall great website and online bidding!
They are awesome. I don't understand the complaints. Look for Auctionwholesales on proxibid they are the best. The problems I am reading are from customers who did not do there homework. This is not ebay
I bought an item in 2014. And paid for the item. After two months I never received item. Proxibid user agreement guarantees refund. But when threatened legal actions proxibid renigged on the uses agreement and and I only received 60% refund. And when I complained the customer service manager flagged my account because he was getting a kickback from that auction. I advise everyone to steer clear of proxibid
