“Dont last”

Dallas S.
7/22/23

Ive bought one plus had three replacements sent at a cost of 49$ plus 10$ each additional one all in the last 50 days! Now ive emailed two of there emails multiple times n it just keeps being sent back. Yes they have a warranty but its not worth it. My brother bought a ten dollar one off amazon n its been working for over two months so far. Do not use!

I bought this screen protector when I purchased my phone with the selling factor of "lifetime warranty" well that means one replacement and you have to pay $12 for shipping. It started chipping after only a couple months of use. Do not recommend.

When Verizon sold them to me for 50 bucks each they didn't tell me I had to go back to pure gear and fill out a bull$#*! form to get new screen protectors then they charged me $22 to ship them because they wouldn't ship them both together had to pack them individually whole deal is a rip-off stay away from them.

This is one of the worst products you can possibly buy, entirely. It cracks incredibly easily, and the "warrantee" is false. They charge almost 1/3rd of what you would pay to buy a new screen protector in store, for the delivery fee.

The people who are in charge of this product should be ashamed. Unfortunately, I have a Motorola phone, so very few screen protectors match with my phone. I am forced to buy this piece of garbage. I disdain this product, and this company.

I got my pure gear tempered glass last year when i bought my iphone. Thank god it worked. I dropped my phone so many times and the screen protector saved my screen! No doubt it had a few lines on it, but my glass never broke! Finally i dropped my phone and the back glass shattered, but i didn't have a protector on it either. I came to the website to order another one and read all the reviews ( They are a bit suspect since many are dated the same date) Nevertheless i will buy another one if i can find the same one i had before. Although i never tried the warranty dept it appears it could use some better customer service. Thanks PureGear!

Please be careful buying this. I did have a screen break very easily too. I did receive a replacement over a month later; and then a second one without my requesting it. This means they charged my card without permission for shipping costs. I have made over 10 calls and emails and a written letter to them, a report to BBB. I am awaiting payment for my screen repair. They don't callback or email either. I don't know what to do but hope no one else has this problem. I also pleaded with my local Verizon store to look into but they did not or would not (that's another story). Help.

I purchased a screen protector from Puregear which was $50. I know a lot of money for a screen protector considering I could pick one up for $5. Well, you do not get what you pay for. It cracked within a month. I had the warranty in place so I thought I would get another one for free. That was true but after I pay a $13 shipping fee. That's insane. So, now I'd be in $13 more for this overpriced protector. I did not do it and I went to 5 Below and bought one that is working just fine.

I only give a 1 since 0 isnt an option
Screen cracked 3 days after placing. All I did is grip phone side ways. It wasn't even dropped. I asked for replace at retail store and was denied with the following explanation:
"Thank you for your follow up. We do apologize for the issues you have experienced. Our policy has recently been revised; therefore it is required for all customers to complete a Warranty Claim Form and pay for shipping. You will find that this policy is standard throughout the industry and with our competitors.
Best Regards"
Well I'm not spending another peny on these screens. I got better results from my Dollar Tree screen protectors in the past.
Learned my lesson.

I bought the tempered glass cover for my xs max iPhone. The glass didn't come out to the edges and the first time it fell the glass chipped alone the one edge in three places. I went online to get my replacement and they want $10USD to mail me a new one. I didn't order the new one and will look for another replacement elsewhere. Not much of a guarantee in my mind.

Purchased a wall charger for $40. Used it for 4 months, then it stopped charging. I took it back to the Verizon store where I purchased it, where they tested the charger with other devices and confirmed it was an issue with the charger itself. They told me I could go online to ask for a new charger. PureGear wants me to pay $10 so they can ship me a replacement charger, which I find ridiculous. That's $50 total for a wall charger that doesn't even have a USB connection. Don't waste your money on this company.

Bought the puregear phone screen protector from my local cell supply store. It was expensive (40$ CAD) but I was told there was unlimited replacements as long as I pay for the shipping. The screen protector broke immediately (in my purse. Didn't even drop it) and it shattered near the camera. I went to claim the warranty and was told it would take 10-14 days to get my product. This is was in September (the 5th). On October 5th I followed up as I never got the replacement and I was told it would take another 7-14 business days. We're now in November and I can't even get an email response. No product, no reply and now my phone screen is damaged. I went to report then on the BBB and found 15 pages of complaints leading back to 2019 of people having the same issue. Clearly this company is a scam. Buyers beware.
Lucky for my my credits card company disputed there charges but I'll never get back that 40$ from the original purchase.

Tip for consumers:
Don't purchase from pure gear. Do your research before buying.

I overpaid for this product at Verizon Wireless. But the sales rep assured me that when I went to replace the screen, it would be completely free- no shipping costs, like with other companies. However, when I went to replace the screen, S+H was 9.99. I emailed PureGear and they told me I'd have to pay it. I fumed for a little and then decided to go ahead and buy it. When I went to re-order the screen, S+H had gone up to 11.95. This is not a lifetime warranty. This is you repurchasing their product at its value.

How do you charge $50 for a screen protector and claim there's a lifetime warranty but I have to pay $10 for a replacement when I dropped it low to the ground and it shattered? I hate I wasted my money but never again. You guys won't get 1 red cent from me. The guy from T-Mobile told me it's lile $5 to get a replacement and I thought that wasn't bad. But $10? Every time I crack your cheap $#*! screen protector!

I purchased a Pre Gear Screen protector. It was very expensive, but the warranty seemed worth it. Well... Screen cracked. Called Pure Gear - on hold for 45 minutes! Left numerous messages - NOTHING! No return call NOTHING. Submitted claim on website - STILL NOTHING! Finally someone emailed back - claim approved. Send VENMO details. 3 weeks later still NOTHING! If they are not willing to back their product they should CLOSE!

When I bought my new iphone, I asked for the liquid screen protector I had in the past. The guy agreed and sent me to look for a case. While looking for a case, he put this puregear thing on. I had specifically told him about my concern about it bubbling up and flaking off. He told me it was guaranteed for a lifetime. It immediately within days bubbled up and is not flaking. The verizon store will not do anything. It costs $12 for the replacement from the company. Something that is guaranteed for life and that was defective immediately should not cost $12 to replace. HORRIBLE COMPANY. I wish I would have read these before I made the purchase.

I bought a Puregear screen protector for my Samsung 23 ultra with the fingerprint scanner on the screen protector. Not once but twice they sent me a screen protector with a smudge right over the fingerprint scanner making it impossible to login with my fingerprint. After 6 emails to customer service I finally got a response weeks later. They said they would send me a new one. The new one had a smudge over the fingerprint reader too. Really? I gave up and decided to go with a different company. Slowest customer service ever!

Tip for consumers:

Both my husband and I bought new samsungs S8 and S9. My screen protector (Steel 360 tempered glass) cracked within the first month. Filed warranty, paid 9.95 and received wrong protector. My husbands cracked and his fell off leaving him to tape it to the phone to have some protection. Filed claim, paid 9.95 and received wrong protector once again. Emailed pure gear two times with no response. Called them 8 times in one day only to sit on hold and never talk to customer service. We paid $60 for each protector thinking they would hold up better because they cost so much and free replacement for life... what we were told. If they send the correct one that would help but so much for free replacement. I am totally fed up with them and not being able to get ahold of anyone. Spending that much on a case that is made of "glass" is not worth it. Duh... glass breaks easily. Just a warning to future screen buyers.

I registered my screen protector today in case of phone damage as to receive a new protector paying only shipping. Puregear requires way too much info on the purchase. Phone info, date of purchase, place of purchase, to name a few! It's ridiculous how much info you're required to give in order to register the item! A copy of the receipt should be enough "proof" as it shows all the necessary info of the purchase! I only went through the trouble because I had the time. Puregear, you should not require all the info that you do. It's totally unnecessary and should not be part of the process!

Bought the new note 10+ the day it came out, and had the liquid screen protector put on by the AT&T sales girl, had never had anything like this before. I always buy a tempered glass protector and never have problems, but seeing as how this was what was highly reccomend and it was free, I went with it. 6 days later as I was walking out the door my dog hit the door and it hit my hand and I dropped it, guess what my screen cracked! I tried to register the protector but the site wouldn't come up, had to have the sales girl do it. Now I am trying to request my $100 visa to help pay for screen repair but the site won't open. I will NEVER get this liquid screen again!

I have had my phone for less than two months and need to replace my screen protector for the 2nd time. I'm not hard on my phone number a 52 year old female and take care of it. I have never had to replace it when I had a different brand. Would not recommend this brand at all.

So I purchased a Pure Gear screen protector on 11. 3. 2020 - today is 1. 12. 2021 - after this short time there is a huge chip in the side of the screen protector. Customer service is horrible! I was told on three occasions that the claim did not exist, they could not find my on line claim even though I had a ticket #. Long story short Pure Gear expected me to pay for shipping and handling on a product that has a life long warranty. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM PURE GEAR - their "life time warranty" and product is Pure Garbage!

I bought a Puregear charging cable at a Verizon store for $24.99 plus tax. The clerk said it had a "Lifetime Warranty." A few weeks later it stopped working and l went back to the store. The clerk said l had to file a claim online. When l went to the Puregear website, l saw that they charge a $11.95 fee to file a warranty claim. There is also a long and complicated form to fill out, which, plus the fee, would discourage anyone from continuing.

Even worse, l went to the lnternet and found that there were other sellers who were charging $4.50 for the identical Puregear charging cable, with free shipping. I bought two Puregear cables online, for $9.00, which have already arrived.

It's absurd that Verizon charges $24.99 for this item, made in China, and Puregear charges another $11.95 to replace it, when the exact same item can be bought online for a fraction of the price, with the added convenience of having it delivered to your home.

I went to AT&T for a USB charger for my car to use the Android Auto. Ive only had the charger for a few weeks and now for the last few days the charger wont work in my car it connects and disconnects and its very frustrating. I went to the same AT&T store to get it replaced and the manager stated i needed to go online and file a claim to get a new one for FREE, so i waits my time registering and filling out the claim form to find out i need to pay $9.95 for shipping and handling, in a way i understand the fee but its ridiculous what happened to the days when one could walk in and just get it replaced in less than five min. Dont know if I will pay that and wait 4-7 business days for a new one, most likely ill just order one from amazon for the same price that will last the same amount of time or longer.

The first one got water under it and cracked when removing the water. Used the warranty and payed shipping and received a complete differant protector but was told by customer service that it was the same. Installed it because I needed to and later the same day dropped my phone in the carpet, and the protector pops off. Smh

The free replacement is 12.95 shipping and handling. I have replaced twice. The get hairline cracks easily. Am going back to my wet prep. They last the life of the phone. Cheaper too
