I'm really surprised that this is how someone does business in 2019. I placed an order for 2 pair of shoes, one to be picked up and the other to be shipped. I never received a confirmation email and my order was no where to be found when I logged in. However, my credit card was charged. I did eventually get an email that my pick-up was ready but the order still doesn't show up in my account on the website. I ordered in time for Christmas but it isn't looking good for the 2nd pair of shoes. Here I am 3 days later and I still don't have an order number for the 2nd pair of shoes so they will probably not get here by Christmas. I tried calling Room Rack Shoes on 2 separate occasions and I was on hold with no end in sight for over 20 minutes! That's crazy. I can't recommend this business. It's VERY unorganized and is causing lots of frustration.
I went to Rack room shoes Pompano beach, Fl, ready to buy few shoes for the kids, but the manager was extremely rude when I politely asked her to remove the security tag to try on. Terrible customer service, stay away!
The assoc ******* in North Augusta, SC refused to refund me my money. I had the receipt and the purchase was less than a week old. Her words were,"Yall ain't getting no money back from us. I was by myself. My question is, Who is Ya'll. It's 2021 and a sale associate was comfortable enough to speak to someone in that manner who was spending money. WOW. Never again.
I ordered a pair of the black platform converse July 1st. It is now July 29th. I just got off the phone with customer service and the lady had no answers for me. I asked why it's has taken almost a month for the company to send me my shoes and she said they are sold out. If they're sold out why does it say in stock? I didn't even receive an email that you guys can't fulfill my order. So unprofessional. The lady on the phone even asked me why it took me so long to call?! I had the benefit of the doubt but that was wrong of me. I'm mad because you have taken my money and I still have not received my product. No wonder you guys have not even a 2 star ratting. Laughable.

Went to refund first pair (too big) and the fave me $19.99.
Said I could refund the already used shoes to get the remaining balance as in store credit.
This is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Rather than give me at least half my total back they prefer used shoes.

I'm n this time we are in today with the coronavirus rack rooms return policy really sucks. You need a new pair of shoes go somewhere that has an easy return policy. And that's not rack room. So many shoes doesn't fit the same so ordering on line is horrible anyway. But with rack room if you need to return for a different size you have to pay to ship the back to rack room then pay to ship the new shoes to you. You pickup your shoes at the store curbside then if they don't fit your in shoe hell! Rack room just really sucks.
Ordered shoes while they had BOGO 50٪ off. The email they sent confirming the order did not include the 50% off. The money is pending from my card but they can't find my order Probably because its not the right amount. Customer service is no help. I just have to wait for my money to be returned by my bank. Don't waste your time ordering from them. I've wasted a week now on shoes my son needed by a certain date. I wish I had known they had a 1 star rating. Not to mention they outsource their live chat so you have to waste more time calling the number they give you.
Received my order of two pairs of sneakers and I could tell they were previous returns. They were slightly dirty, laces undone, and the boxes they were in were a mess. One had holes in the top of it. I will never order online from them ever again. Shopping in-store was a very different experience and so much better. I really appreciate the BOGO promotion. And the shoes are high quality.
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes on-line which I had to eventually go to the Post Office to pick up because Rack Room Shoes does not use UPS or FedEx. They sent me 2 pairs of shoes that was not what I ordered and not in the size ordered. I could not find a number for customer service so I tried their Live Chat option. No on ever responded. I then emailed customer service. I received an automated email that someone would respond within 24 hours. 48 hours went by with no response. But atleast there was a phone number to call on the automated response which I called. I was frustrated but the lady was nice and said she would expedite the shipping of my order by FedEx. After another week, I called customer service. My order was never sent. I returned the shoes as they requested. And my credit card has yet to be refunded. Use Amazon.
I just had the worst experience at Rack Room Shoes at the Delray Beach location. I was trying on four different shoes, which I was planning on purchasing I had been in the store for actually 40 minutes not one person came up to me, which was fine, so I was the one making the decisions, however to my surprise, the store lead her name is Tanya came up to me and said, "is this your mess?" I replied excuse me as I was shocked and embarrassed as others were in the store. I told her I am deciding on a few to leave all that there, and she said, do you expect me to clean up after you, you're a grown $#*! woman. I was on the way by this car. How dare she say that to a customer or to anybody for that matter. I said to her first I would've been putting away what I didn't purchase. However, I was planning on pretty much purchasing everything I tried on, and if I didn't, it is your job to clean up the store bottom line I said I am all set here and you can pick up the shoes that I will no longer practice and I will be contacting your Manager on this matter. I find this view is important for shoe rack, room, senior management as this woman is a representation of your location and your brand, and it also is helpful for many others who potentially they want to shop and not be degraded and humiliated.
Answer: I would advise potential customers to consider whether they have a retail location nearby. While Rack Room Shoes has great pricing, their online return policy leaves something to be desired in the modern marketplace. In a day and age when return shipping at no charge is offered by many clothing and shoe companies on the internet, you will have to pay return shipping out of your own pocket plus be liable for any shipping charges taken out of your refund with Rack Room Shoes should the shoes not fit/work out for you. In the end, you might spend between $12 and $25 for the round trip shipping... and have nothing to show for it. After making 3 phone calls, and a week waiting for a return phone call that never happened, I spoke with Lisa, supervisor of customer service (800)248-0692, about this policy. She was polite and offered to refund only the original shipping charge. Internet pricing and no charge return policies being what they are at major online retailers like Amazon and Zappos, I suggested that their shipping policy being on the customer should be pointed out on each product page of their website. I am sure this will not happen, since it would certainly lower their sales to customers who don't live close enough to a retail store for returns. BE AWARE. I am still out $11.92... don't let this happen to you!
