I registered with ebates after seeing their commercials on tv. What a mistake! I was supposed to get a $10 Target gift card for signing up. I sent several e-mails trying to get the gift card that was promised to me. I stopped shopping with ebates after my first purchase. THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAM ARTISTS! NOT RECOMMENDED!
Update as of July 22,2016: Ebates contacted me and promised to send me my $10 Target gift card and claimed that they did not have my address. I find it hard to believe that they did not have my address. I will update again if I receive my gift card.

It couldn't be easier to use Rakuten and save money. I am a huge fan and try to refer others but for some reason people are reluctant. They are irrational. It's awesome.

Absolutely wonderful customer service! Had a little issue (totally my fault) and they didn't hesitate at all to go above and beyond. I am a customer for life!

I had shopped at an Ebates participating store, and I activated my Ebates account, and didn't receive credit for shopping with that store for some reason. I contacted Ebates, and the Customer Service Representative (John) made sure I received the proper rebate once I provided him with the information that was needed. I am so happy to be a part of a company that cares for their customers like Ebates does, and I will continue to refer friends and family to Ebates.

I was missing cash back on an order. Customer service was so fast in helping me and crediting my account for the missing amount. Awesome service! Thank you.

Ebates is a wonderful website when there is an issue they always try to resolve any problems you experience and contact you until it is completely cleared up.

It's easy to use assuming you do a lot of online shopping. Would recommend to others, would be better if more rebates were available and more stores participated

This website is fake they just take money by giving orders and don't give back i have lost ******* and they have not given 1 rupees also it's totally FAKE FAKE

I called and was immediately assisted by a friendly and competent woman who resolved my difficulty (changing to a new email address when I had no access to the former one) within a couple of minutes.

I started using this app in November of 2018 and have received a total of $50.13 with an additional $16.86 pending in Cash Back Balance (see image attached for proof). The refunds are processed once every 3 months via your choice of a check or PayPal. I have mine setup with PayPal while my fiance gets his via mailed checks (image attached). It is so far the only app that's worked for actually giving me cash back for my purchases from an incredibly wide variety of stores. The Cash Back percentages vary each day or week. One day Sephora will have an 8% Cash Back, the next it will have a 4% Cash Back. You can "heart" your favorite stores too for easy access to the stores you shop at most (image attached). If you refer someone, that person will automatically receive $10 Cash Back while you get $25 after your referral makes a qualified purchase. I have been using Ebates for 4 months now. It's for the most part a smooth process, but once in a while I don't get credit for something. I usually contact someone online and the issue gets resolved quickly. My last credit was denied because they said the company at which I shopped gave credit to someone other than Ebates, but they gave me a $20 thank you instead. It was thoughtful, but I was upset because my expected rebate was for much more, and I know I entered through Ebates and I did not exit my browser or use a promotional code. I called the company I shopped at and I verified those facts. So, I decided to call Ebates customer service at *******200 and Lindsey was amazing to work with. I explained my situation and being that she is a supervisor, she was able to credit my $70+ to my Ebates account immediately. While it does get frustrating from time to time to have to solve an issue, I do appreciate that no business is perfect and that they are willing to fix the issues. Thank you Ebates!

Just joined on the 3rd of March, 2018 and have already qualified for a cash back check. In fact, they sent me a check for $1.40 just to show me that the system works. They also sent me a FREE $10 Gift Card from Walmart. I have made about 10 purchases that qualified for a rebate. One of the purchases from Omaha Steaks didn't show up in my rebates list, so I wrote them an email showing them the pertinent information and they IMMEDIATELY corrected the error before even checking with Omaha Steaks for the purchase info. When I say IMMEDIATELY, I mean IMMEDIATELY. When I sent the info about the purchase to them, by the time I clicked SEND and the next page loaded they had already given me the rebate of $3.50. You cannot get any faster than that. I highly recommend Ebates.com to all of my friends and anyone else who will listen!

Poor and unacceptable service. I purchase from several online companies and have never had such problems. The customer service is a waste of time. I placed an order (as a gift to a family member) on early Wednesday. That afternoon I received an email stating Rakuten needed me to authorize the ship to address and wanted me to "add" the address to the bank, then reply to Rakuten with the confirmation of doing that along with a contact number for the bank. I did. Late Thursday they emailed to say they still were unable to get confirmation from the bank. The bank said they had received no follow up call from Rakuten.
I then emailed Rakuten again and requested they address the situation properly, again reciting the information they needed. On Friday late they sent me another email indicating they still needed information and confirmation from the bank.
A that point I referred to all our previous correspondence and one phone call, requesting they resolve their issue and ship the item by Monday or else cancel the order.
Not surprisingly, they called me Monday late morning to advise they still needed their authorization department to take the steps necessary and could not guarantee when the item would be shipped. I cancelled and placed the same order with Amazon.
What a waste of time.
Mind you, I place online orders at least 6 times a month, sending to various recipients, and never had such an issue.
Thoroughly disgusted.

Superb, attentive, quick response customer care. It's hard to find companies that value true customer service. One of the best I've dealt with! Eric was my customer care associate and was incredible.

I AM SOLD ON EBATES, AS I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY OF MY ORDERS, OR TIMELINE IN RECEIVING THEM. THEIR DISCOUNTS ARE GREAT! I HAD AN ISSUE WITH AN EMAIL ADDRESS, AND ALEXIS IN CUSTOMER SERVICE QUICKLY WORKED ON MY ISSUE FOR RESOLUTION. SHE IS SUPER GREAT, AND FOR ANYONE WHO MAY ENCOUNTER A PROBLEM, BIG OR SMALL, I HOPE YOU GET ALEXIS, CAUSE SHE WILL GIVE YOU A REASON TO KEEP ON PURCHASING THROUGH EBATES... I placed an order with a ebates retailer, but for some reason, it didn't auto send me to ebates. Sent a request and was happy with quick response and outcome of question.

I had lost my rebate check and contacted customer service. They were just wonderful and reissued me another check! Their help and understanding was a real blessing to me! Thanks Rachael! Blessings!

I have been a long time Ebates member and have had mixed results with this company over the years.

Most of the time, purchases are not credited to your account, you have to go behind each transaction to make sure you actually receive your cash back.

This is the case even when you login to ebates and select the company link and even when the ebates browser application states cash back activated.

Further, in the last two years, there have been an increasing amount of excuses given by ebates customer service as to why cash back was not given.

First, they provide the canned response that some other affiliate was used not ebates which of course is untrue when you have an ebates ticket to prove your login and link selection including the browser application that states cash back is active.

I recently made two relatively large purchases at QVC one of $299 and another of $449 and I was provided with a new excuse.

They are now providing the canned excuse that the order number is invalid and that maybe some other affiliate was credited.

This excuse was given for these two separate transactions and is utter nonsense and is a complete fabrication.

Both orders have been long received and all order details have been proven and verified.

This type of dishonesty needs to be called out in public so others will be aware of this type of dishonest business practice.

I have followed all procedures correctly and this type of dishonesty is unacceptable!

I submitted a form because I had not received my cash back and a customer service representative got back to me within 5 minutes. Keep in mind it was past 9pm!

(This portal website is is now Rakutan.com.) I've shopped through this portal for years. I was so disappointed when Nordstrom stopped their association with Ebates (criminals were abusing the system, so it's understandable, but still), but there are enough businesses that I use included on Ebates that I still get nice Big Fat Checks. Just not as fat as they used to be, alas. They have improved the website so that it is now really easy to track your "shopping trips" and your cash pending or cash back records. Once in a while a cash back has not been noted, and I have notified Ebates of this. A few years ago this notification would require some time emailing back and forth, but now it is all very quick. And I always get my money! In fact, Ebates has gone ahead and credited my account for cash back that the business has not yet credited to Ebates. This is a great business. Yes, by going through a portal you are selling your information for marketing purposes, but you are sharing all that already by galloping through the Internet. So get some cash for it.
