They never pay what you actually earned. I have yet to have a single transaction pay what was advertised. Even after purchases have been verified they just delete the payout for no reason. 100% scam!

BE VERY CAREFUL, make sure, you are getting cash back on all the orders/ because Ebates will literally scammed you out of cash back and then if you bring it up to them, they just blame it on the merchan, how "it wasn't reported by the merchant."
And, then if you keep brining it up, they will refer you to merchant's terms and conditions but this isn't one merchant specific, and ask you send your order confirmation, more way to steal your info! It happens to with all the merchants you shop on a regular basis and Ebates is just hoping, you won't catch them stealing your cash back because they will only add cash back on some of the orders and NOT ALL!
Look for another cash back service or at least make sure, Ebates is giving you cash back on each and every order and they will screw you!

I planned on buying a big (for me!) ticket item during Black Friday and was trying to figure out the best deal based on price and Ebates cash back %. Did the math and decided on Kohl's.
Day 0 (Thu): I went through Ebates submit the order. Started to worry when I didn't get a "cash back update" email confirming my earned credit, especially since later purchases were credited.
Day 2 (Sat): I submitted a contact form on their website asking about the status of my purchase.
Day 4 (Mon): Received an email indicating that it can take a few days, but if I didn't see the credit soon, they'd check in with the store.
Day 7 (Thu): Without my follow up or prompting, I get another email saying that my case is getting forwarded to an agent in the Accounts Dept; someone will contact me soon.
Day 9 (Sat): An email from the agent writes back thanking me for my patience and saying that even though Ebates hasn't gotten credit for the purchase, they don't want ME waiting on the order so they've added it to my account!
I was initially frustrated that I couldn't find a phone number to call and a rep to speak with, but I'm extremely impressed by the customer service in resolving my concern so quickly. After submitting the initial online contact form, I didn't have to continually follow up and wonder what was happening.
Their responsiveness - especially considering it's one of the busiest shopping weeks of the year - was superb! And I really appreciated that they credited my account in advance even as they wait(ed) for the store to credit them.
I've never had to test out Ebates customer service before so they made a very positive first impression. In fact, it's made me more aware of signing into Ebates as a portal whenever I'm shopping online.

I have only good things to say. I am going to give four pieces of advice. 1. Screenshot your Rakuten shopping trip number after the order is placed if you have a browser button. 2. Activate Rakuten often. As browsing then getting to the checkout then going back into the website after changing your mind about products in the cart can de-activate. Maybe you thought you activated and it was actually a half hour before checkout and the wait de-activated and the "bag" or "cart" closed on the website. 3. Contact Rakuten about everything. They have a great customer support team. If you activated your button or went through their website the store may still give cashback even if the order was placed without the shopping trip being activated the last time the website is visited that day. If an order is cancelled, it's probably a good idea to tell customer service. I had an issue at checkout where Rakuten wasn't working properly. Somehow Shop Pay was automatically activating and asked for a code. I ignored the code request which disabled the checkout experience. The customer service team walked me through the issue. The Shop Pay issue discovery happened when I kept getting questions from Rakuten. 4. Pay attention to double cash back days and 10% cashback days. Double days and 10% or more adds up quickly. My only complaint is Rakuten could give more information on how to find and record the shopping trip number. It has taken me a while, but I'm pretty quick to screenshot the order number/placement page with the Rakuten information. I am grateful for Rakuten. They have a kind, respectful team. I am making certain I am the same towards them. I hope they don't have any complaints against me. Laugh slightly out loud
Tip for consumers:
The support team is very patient, helpful and kind. Contact them with any and all problems. I did send them a thank you email during member appreciation day. I got quite a bit of cashback from those sites that day. Look for and use Double Cashback and 10% Cashback.

Daily Deals, can be steals, watch what you are bidding on they do stand up for honoring what they sell, contacting them is a deal and a half, so go through the Main Place and Get Buyer Protection.

I purchase almost 90 percent of my things online due to a recent automobile accident where my injuries caused me to be homebound. Because of this, I was thrilled to find out about EBATES because almost every store I purchase from is listed. Recently, I purchased a $300 tablet from HSN online and I couldn't remember if I had gone thru EBATES prior to ordering thru HSN. I immediately contacted the customer service area at EBATES and they investigated my purchase. Well, it turned out that I hadn't and I would have missed out on getting a rebate from my big order. But as a courtesy to me, the EBATES representative went ahead and gave me the rebate amount for my purchase anyway! I was in 7th Heaven and they are now on my Favorites site as well as posting a yellow reminder stickee on my computer screen. I will tell everyone I value as a good friend about this great site, especially the ones who like to shop as a hobby like me!
