They never pay what you actually earned. I have yet to have a single transaction pay what was advertised. Even after purchases have been verified they just delete the payout for no reason. 100% scam!

I initially contacted EBates customer service through email regarding orders I had placed which I thought qualified for cash back. EBates promptly responded and said they would look into the matter. They did and were able to update my account. I was very impressed with the timely response they gave me and for explaining in detail how certain items at a certain store were or were not eligible for cash back rewards. I feel very comfortable contacting them in the future if needed.

I had used ebates for a few years and did get back a bit more than $200 over the years. However, now, they have been holding the same $4.20 or so for over a year because, one, they changed their rules and you must buy enough eligible stuff to bring your total up to a certain amount before they will issue you that check! And two, so many merchants I used to buy from through Ebates left the program so it's not worth my time anymore. It takes forever to try and find a business I DO shop that is also on the Ebates list!

I have spread the word to all my friends on Facebook and now am posting my review in various places.

Like I said in my title... eBates used to be great, but not anymore. Waste of time unless you shop constantly! But who can afford to do that nowadays!

Where should I even start? Customer service is terrible except one women. They hung up on me about 2 times. I ordered an item and on the website it said 7 items left, so I payed for it. About 3 weeks later (Yesterday) wondering where my item is and why it has not been here yet, I call Rakuten and they tell me that my item was out of stock. Plus, they kept my money instead of sending it back! Not only are they liars, but also money hungry!

I have used Ebates since November, doing holiday purchases, etc and so pleased not only with the availability of multiple stores but the rebate that I will receive back. I also had a issue where I needed help and the response time was prompt. This is a great site!

Ordered a new cell phone for my wife's birthday gift. 4 day past without receive shipping notice. Check the status, it indicated as "cancelled". But they don't even bother to notify me it was cancelled.

Asked customer service, the response - "Your order was cancelled by our system automatically for issues relating to the information on your order. This can be for a variety of reasons, from the improper inputting of a verifiable address to not having your billing information match up to the information recorded with your financial institution."

I do have a screen print of my order input. Nothing wrong include credit card number. The true reason? $10 increase of the phone happened that day after I put the order.

What I ask is to send your customer a cancel notice. If you are too ashamed to send the notice, your conscious tell you something wrong of your business handling.

I've used eBates for many years prior to them merging with Rakuten, and I've enjoyed good results under either name. A number of the online businesses I buy from work with Rakuten, and it's a nice bonus to get a few percentage points refunded. Sometimes it's more than just a few percentage points, which is even nicer. They pay promptly every quarter as long as your total is above $5 and if it's not (rarely happens to me), they accumulate the amount due for the next quarter.

Ordered a "BRAND NEW" vacuum cleaner and received something that was clearly not Brand new. Indeed it was missing one of the components. Contacted both Rakuten and their supplier and neither has followed up on my requested return of the vacuum. After four attempts over three weeks of trying, I have issued a charge back through my credit card company. Will see what follows.

Rakuten (formerly Ebates) is an amazing cash back site! I have been using their services and cash back feature for the past 3+ years. They're highly reliable and timely in sending out the quarterly cash back checks. Even better, their customer service is top notch! Anytime I've faced an issue with a purchase or cash back, they have always resolved it for me promptly and to my satisfaction. I very much appreciate their responsiveness!

Absolutely amazing customer service from Harley W. From Ebates Member Services! She was sweet, answered me back quickly every time I had a question, and 100% resolved my problem with no issues! I will definitely be recommending Ebates to everyone because of her! (Not to mention Harley was almost my daughters name, I've always loved it lol) Thanks again Harley!

Ebates provides great offers of cash back with SUPER satisfactory customer services and reliable customer support. For saving money as shopping, it is a must-know resource. Also, it performs a friendly-use interfaces in terms of online website and mobile app concerns. The archives of shopping transaction and cash back/bonus history are very clear and informative. They work very had to make sure that you get every penny you deserve! I have been a member for at least 3 years and I love spending my extra money that I get from my Ebates check! It was easy to sign up and I even got $10.00 just for signing up, so that's an awesome deal you can; t find anywhere else!

Over the years my online shopping has increased substantially. About the only places I don't shop online is the grocery store. Even if I buy my items at the local store I do all my comparison shopping online and read product reviews. Therefore, it makes sense to use Ebates to get additional savings. The app is on my computer and I activate it whenever I am making an online purchase. It's amazing how quickly those few cents add up. I elected the option of having my cash back funds deposited in PayPal so it's nice to get that extra money for nothing more than clicking on their logo.

Placed a trip thru ebates.com and after multiple requests for my cash back still nothing.
They stated that it may take 40 days after the trip. That has since passed and still nothing. Even requesting after the 40 days.
I used to really like this site and don't think that I will be using it anymore.

Seems like this is false advertising to me. Stay away or just don't plan on getting anything from using it their site.

I've been with ebates since 2011. The past few years they really seem to be dropping the ball in putting money in your account after a purchase. You need to be diligent. Keep your online receipts, you most likely (50% or more of the time) will have to track down your money. Pay attention, and it's worth it.

Often cheap, but at a price. They are not forth coming about many details such as obsolete products. If you do get a dud. You will encounter a lot of resistance from them in making it right. Be prepared to spend on shipping costs, long waits for repairs by a third company and often unsatisfactory results. Be VERY cautious when offered free shipping. They sometimes accepted my order without giving me a chance to opt for the free shipping, then charged me what I thought was inflated shipping costs. Not a company that you should trust. They do not freely make a phone no for you to call if you need to. That should tell you something!

Ebates is amazing for your wallet! You use all the same rewards, coupons, etc that you would normally use in store or online. Shop all your faves, but do it with Ebates! I have gotten close to $400 BACK in my big, fat check (you get an actual check mailed every few months) You are just plain silly if you don't join Ebates! Check it out!

The representative who interacted with me, Chelsea, was so professional, tactful, and direct with her responses, that it left me with a very favorable reaction. Too many times I have to contact Ebates for credit on purchases. However a quick email usually resolves the problem... Different story with sizeable cash back. Been waiting for more than one month now for one purchase to be credited... a ten percent cash back. Gotta say that communication with Ebates is good... I still use it when I can. Word to the wise... keep meticulous records especially for larger purchases...

Awesome company. Above parr customer service. Highly recommended! I do a lot of online shopping at Amazon and Walmart. That does help a lot. I hope they are able to negotiate the same deal with CVS Pharmacy they have with Walgreens.
