At first I liked Rakuten, I shopped from Microsoft, Macys, IHrebs and other stores. But when I earned $ 240, they blocked my account and the account of my friends, whom I reffered Rakuten. They just got % from the store where I made the purchase and canceled all our membership. And didn't send anything!
So easy to save money and you can setup for them to deposit into a paypal account, which makes it even easier to save!

I have just received the best cutomer service I have ever received! I had an issue so I sent a message on Sunday morning figuring I would get a jump on the monday rush. Well... I received a response, on a Sunday, just a few hours after my message. Problem solved and all communications completed by Monday afternoon. This morning I received a follow-up email and a thank you for being such a loyal customer.
Who does this anymore? Rakuten... that's who.

I told my friends about it and then they SHUT ME DOWN.we work in the same company and they decided that i abused their terms. I got a credit and then they take the credit off, they don't answer their phone or email.It was totally horrible and i don't suggest anyone using it. They totally tease and it horrible. I HATE THIS COMPANY
Terrible customer service! They won't honor your business or treat you as a valued customer. Tried to purchase an item which was canceled and later offered to buy with a higher price than what i paid for originally. Very dissatisfied as it was a complete waist of my time. Also, there's a catch with their rewards point that you must spend buyin from them, its just Not Worth it. You better spend your money from a reputable store..
I have Ebates account from 2016 and used to receive cash back and checks. From past 2 years I am not using my Ebates account actively and did not received any cashback or check. After a long time I tried to use my account for this thanksgiving shopping and noticed that my account is not available. When I reached out to the customer support they are saying I have multiple accounts (which I never have) and due to this reason my accounts were deactivated. I requested them to recheck and provide me duplicate account details so that I can confirm accounts that dont belong to me and continue using my account. Their response was rude and asked me to use other cashback services...
I feel Ebates was better before Rakuten acquired and one of the worst customer service.

I love, love, love using this service. The last big fat check I got was actually boosted because I chose to receive it on an Egift card. This was the first time this was offered and I thought it was wonderful.
I had no problem with Rakuten, up until the point that I tried to refer my Mom to the service. We live in the same household, and the first time she signed up she didn't have her own Paypal account and asked to use mine, so we got flagged. No big deal, I talked to them to make sure you can have more than one account per household then helped her make a new account with her own brand new Paypal account. Then a few days ago, a couple weeks after she made her first purchase, both of our accounts were locked. Flagged again. After trying to get some information from customer service, they just keep saying that due to the "high level of abuse" they have deactivated our accounts. I've tried multiple times to explain the situation and get some clarification on what constitutes as abuse, with the same copy and paste reply. After reading through the terms and conditions, nowhere does it say that there can't be more than one account per household, although it does say something about being able to check addresses. I think we were flagged because we live in the same home, so we of course have the same address, although we have different bank accounts/income and everything. Long story short, all the cash back I had earned before I had referred my mom is now gone, although I'm sure they get to keep the money they earned off of my purchases. Very shady. Use a different cash back service if you can, or at least try to not refer anyone that lives in the same house as you.
I have previously enjoyed Ebates, but my number one complaint is that purchases are never credited to your account without having to fill out a form and contact customer service for each and every purchase. I constantly check my Ebates account after making purchases on Amazon, and they are never credited. I have had two fill out a form every single time I want to receive the proper credit for purchase. Ebates, you seriously need to improve your program because you're only going to lose customers this way. Get it together!
Rakuten is a GREAT money saving site. When you connect to Rakuten and click on the store you want, you immediately get to that store's internet site. From there, whatever you buy, you make money just from clicking through the Rakuten site, or by having the extension in Chrome.
I've almost made $1,000 with this great site.
Their customer service department is great, too.

Since e-bates got bought out by Rakuten, the payment has stopped. I had a definite$1400(August)&$700(September) and a $7500+ potential growth, but they froze my account, eventually terminating it without sending any payment I had acquired.
Rakuten does not have phone number confirmation, so anyone can get the $10 by creating a new email address many times. This is wrong.
I contacted customer services, they did not check my account and who are referred. But they terminated my account one-sidedly. It is clear that Rakuten is committing a fraud by using users especially if you have high amount cash back.
Where to start! We purchase a whole lot of products online for our Airbnb units and we had a major project to remodel an entire apartment which took us a few months and a tons of purchases. We had in total over $1,500+ in our cash back account until Ebates decided to shut down the account for supposedly ineligible cashback which triggered a high-risk account which means they stole all my funds and now are giving me some BS excuse without any evidence or proof to show for it, maybe before you guys steal your customers funds take the time to reach out and try to contact your customers. I have all of the receipts to show that purchases have been done online.

Please do your due diligence before you spend any time on this website this company should deserve to get shut down immediately for stealing customers funds on an ongoing basis. There should be no excuse to why any company does this. It is as simple as reaching out to the customer to understand what's going on before you take action but I guess companies like this run on stealing customers funds to stay alive.
Ebates was undoubtedly one of the best cashback websites around... however... since RAKUTEN took over that all changed. I've been shopping with ebates and eBay for a number of years and through them managed to get hundreds in cashback. Now with Rakuten every order somehow no longer falls into the category of their cashback and "not eligible for Cash Back at the time of your purchase"
Absolutely waste of time and no longer recommended. Ironically also been with Rakuten a few years ago with their Affiliate Marketing program and even then they never paid commissions and came up with various excuses to avoid payments.
Stopped using them after that and it's sad to see that they've taken over a once excellent Cash Back program and turned it into another one of their scams!
Awesome experience receiving my missing cash back. Support staff responded within 10 minutes and deposited my missing cash back on three separate orders, which was the store's omission.
So impressed with the immediate response. So easy to receive my missing cash back.

Answer: If it for some reason doesn't show like it should, I contact ebates. I include a copy of the email with the information from the order placed. Normally I wait until the purchase has arrived. This gives ebates and the store to put the transaction in your account.
