They never pay what you actually earned. I have yet to have a single transaction pay what was advertised. Even after purchases have been verified they just delete the payout for no reason. 100% scam!
I always check this site before I buy. Love getting my big fat checks in the mail. It's really good for big ticket items and the small ones add up too.

It was very easy to use. It pops up when you are on a site that Rakuten is available for. Tap the button to activate the site and then go shopping. I will us e this all the time now.

Nothing seems to have changed but the name. I really don't like it. Too many syllables. At least Ebates sounded like you were getting money back, ebates sounds similar to rebates.

EBATES' customer service is definitely BEYOND AWESOME! I am not very savvy with technology and had managed to create two (2) separate EBATES account. I realized I had cash value on both and was feeling quite flustered. I sent an email describing my situation. In no time, I received a reply from an ACTUAL PERSON explaining my dilemma was solved and were consolidated using the email address I preferred. DID YOU READ THIS? AN ACTUAL PERSON, NOT AN AUTOMATED EMAIL WITHOUT THE OPTION OF RESPONDING, SAVED THE DAY! I am sending the same message to Clark Howard, as I am a big fan. I need to let him know that EBATES' customer relations departments is the opposite of the customer "no-service" departments consumers usually have to deal with. Thank you, Marlene and EBATES! WOW, where to begin! Ordered Samsung 500g EVO SSD. The marketplace seller was DELL. They never shipped it! I opened a ticket and it went unanswered! I opened ticket with google and 5 days later Rakuten cancelled my order and Google told me the dont support closed orders right after. But Google said good news! You were refunded your money! Oh yea? Thats the good news? How about the SSD is now $70 more everywhere and I needed it yesterday!? DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE DEAL IS!

Ebates has become problematic in recent months essentially denying substantial purchases made via the link through their site only by using the same line as "Ebates was denied payout by 'given' company due to another affiliate being credited".
My recent experience confirms this practice, then they offer the mere $20 knowing full well they owed $89.50 on this purchase.
First of all, the only affiliate was the link through Ebates, no other coupons were used.
Further, it was a $3,000 purchase, little does Ebates know that I contacted the Company personally and the said nothing was denied.
This means Ebates is dishonest and will not honor large purchases. Apparently, this is the new practice, simply claim that they were denied credit due to some other affiliate claim.
Simply give them a truth test, go to the company you purchased from, explain that you used Ebates as an affiliate and tell them that Ebates claims they denied credit for the purchase and ask them if this is the case.
Then you will know the truth about Ebates!

BUYERS BEWARE! Friends, do NOT buy from Rakuten. I bought a TV ($1200) on Black Friday 2014, they charged my card a few days later and my Rakuten online account updated to "Status: Shipped." It is now December 19, I have emailed twice with no response, I never received an email with shipping/tracking details, and I never received the TV. I am now disputing with AMEX. So no TV and now I get to pay a higher price since Black Friday sales are over. RAKUTEN SUCKS!

They few times that a shopping trip "failed" to register so I could get my Ebates the issue was addressed either immediately, after I submitted a trouble ticket, or shortly after a discussion (live or email) with a customer rep. I've enjoyed using eBates for many years, I've saved money with the coupons I find on their site and I get Cash Back via eBates too - a double win for shopping!
