Rakuten team are the best service I've come across in the US. We are refugees from Ukraine and we are very grateful to Rakuten for such joy as excellent service, impeccable work, patience, respect for the client and professionalism. They never pay what you actually earned. I have yet to have a single transaction pay what was advertised. Even after purchases have been verified they just delete the payout for no reason. 100% scam!
I have used Ebates for around 10 years. I have my "Big Fat Check", which isn't always so big, deposited into my Paypal account. I believe I have it set up to send payment every 3-4 months. After making a purchase from a website, I receive an email from Ebates a few days later, telling me that I have cash pending. I have had an excellent experience with Ebates. Someone stated that by going through the Ebates website to an e-commerce store, that the prices were higher. I think where the confusion may lie is in the e-commerce website. I will try to explain. Many times, I will receive an several emails in one day, from the same store. Each email may have a different "sale". The prices will vary from the same store. Many sites will tell you that the discount applies ONLY if you go through the email that they sent you. In cases like this, Ebates may not provide you with the lowest price. You have to review each offer separately. Shopping through Ebates might take a few minutes of your time, but, it you are able to save, let's say, $ 3.00 on every purchase you make (I am just using $ 3.00 as an example), it all adds up. If I get a rebate from Ebates of $ 50 every 3-4 months, I don't think that's a bed deal!

I have been an Ebates member since April of 2015 and so far I have earned over $571 for purchasing EXACTLY what I was going to buy online ANYWAY! The Help Support Staff are EXCELLENT and I have required Help a few times! I would give them 100 stars if I could! I have recommended Ebates to several friends and the smartest ones, joined right away!

I think I started with ebates in 2000 or 2002. Long time ago. I have had a few thousand returned to me in check form. Nothing has changed to the site, all seems good, just a new wrapper.

AVOID THIS VENDOR
They use many questionable vendors to supply products.
They refused a refund on a damaged product due to their handling.
I had to resort to PayPal claim and it was settled in my favor OK.

I ordered 6x9 speakers, a stereo, and an hdmi cord. I put the "rewardme" promo code in to get 5% off and that didn't work. And they bold face lied to me in an email saying it would show up later, it didn't! A few days later they send me an email saying they didn't check inventory on the speakers when i bought it and never updated the availability on their dilapidated web site. So they gave me a refund. Then the stereo arrived and it was defective not being able to read my ipod which it was intended to do. Now i can't get a hold of them for a RMA for a refund. I have left multiple emails with no response. They then send me an email asking me to review of their business and product (hdmi cord) of which i never received. What's the point of $#*!ing at them any more when other people need to know about their lack of ethics or accountability because they don't care. Next stop is BBB and then my credit bureau to dispute charges.

I told my friends about it and then they SHUT ME DOWN.we work in the same company and they decided that i abused their terms. I got a credit and then they take the credit off, they don't answer their phone or email.It was totally horrible and i don't suggest anyone using it. They totally tease and it horrible. I HATE THIS COMPANY

Those folks at EBates - they're puttin' money back in my pocket every single time I shop online. And I shop online A LOT. So they provide this fantastic service as a base platform. Then on top of that, the folks with support were so patient, kind and helpful with checks that I kept forgetting to cash. I mean, I felt really BAD because here they are already doing this wonderful thing for us online shoppers, but then ON TOP OF THAT, the give stellar customer service, If you're not shopping with EBates you're just shopping. Love You Guys!

Recommend NOT buying from Rakuten. If you do, your email inbox will be flooded by unwanted emails hawing (probably) unwanted stuff. Very annoying experience.

My cashback NEVER posts even though the chrome extension is activated. I have to go through the missing cash page and then it still doesn't post! Worse since it changed from Ebates!

Linked a few of my family members accounts to one account because they havent been using the account for a while and ebates have the nerve to make your balance negative. I usually get $10-20 per quarter with them but after combining the account they brought the account to a negative balance...
There are fine prints on the FAQ that say the account CANNOT go negative. Becareful of their deceptive ways to get their money back.
UPDATE: (from 1star -> 4star)
Was contacted and they fixed the negative balance. I guess it was not hard find because my account was probably the only negative balance for a "cashback" website!

I did all my oders through ebates on december and they're suppose to send my cash back on febuary 15,2015. That's their schedule for BIG FAT PAYMENT then they changed it to MAY 15. Like wthell I'm just done using this stupid scam ebates I'll use something else or doesn't matter if I even get cash back it's not worth it! I learned my lesson so beware! They do not pay you on time and also take all the tell a friend rewards you have!

Since I joined last holiday season, I have earned back $184.20 from various sites online! That's not chicken feed folks! I just love it when my ebates echeck lands in my paypal account! That's when I get to go buy something I want rather than need! Totally awesome program and now that they have upgraded their button so it REMINDS ME TO CLICK IT BEFORE CHECKING OUT, it's even better!
