I tried to send money to my friend in Kenya. I had zero luck. It is easy enought for them to take your money out of the bank immediately but impossible to get it back. They were not able to transfer money to a friend I have been sending money through for months. I tried Remity as I was at my limits on Sendwave. I tried to send $500 usd to my friend on 10/21/. 2020 and three days later she had yet to receive it. I called to cancel on 10/24/2020. No results came from that call. Today, 11/2/2020 I called again to cancel. Now they said it will take 10 days to get my money back. Lets see if this time is happens. Pathetic.
One of the worst service ever to come across its been 4 days no words from remitly. No help from customer service. Tired of requesting for help but no help at all. Money is in process for last 4 days. Asking question how do you know that person? Who is he to you? Have to been to their country? My advice to people would be to avoid these company purely scam.
I sent some money to Bangladesh and receiver didn't receive money and i tried to contact customers support team but they didnt refund my money yet. Very poor customer support and will not do any transactions in future.
Beware of this company! Tried for the first time send a small amount of money just to see how the business doing. Took the money out of my account straight away, Send me over 6 emails requesting doing this and that. Just too much round and round I end it up canceling it, now we will see how long does it take to send my money back or maybe not even give it back. Not a trustworthy company at all. I think they used some sort of trick to make you can't write a review on their app in iOS App Store, keep saying I don't own the app but of course I used it already on my phone. And they use a fake comment to cover the bad ones.

I am still waiting to retrieve $1158AUD since September 21, for a "declined" transaction! They keep telling me that my bank is holding the money "pending" the transaction. Westpac Australia tells me, unequivocally, that the money has been paid to Remitly. Remitly WILL NOT refund me my money for a DECLINED transaction. These people are thieves and crooks. Don't use this platform. Save yourself a heap of time, energy and stress.
At the start they're telling me it will be a immediate transaction if I pay with debit card but once I paid it says I need to wait for an hour, ok fine, I waited and then they asked me to call the next day, then it says suspicious activity, and my money is now frozen! Thank god it's not emergency!

This App is a joke. They will keep asking for your ID, your PASSPORT NUMBER, your address ( they requested it 6 times!) Reason for sending money, they will cancel your transaction even after you sent them everything they asked for. Its a JOKE. Horrible, just HORRIBLE APP. I WILL NEVER USE REMITLY AGAIN.

This is my first time using Remitly sending funds to Philippines to family... WHAT A JOKE.! Express service is now 4 days into what is supposed to be instant. Family can't get money Remitly have no idea whats holding up the transfer... and we talking couple of thousands AUD$... NEVER again. Try it and its useless. Seems going back to Western Union... and to be totally honest. WU has just as good rates.!
