I will never recommend remitly.poor service.poor cistomer service.They takes very long to transfer money.Reperesentative and even supervisors are not knowledgeable at all.
Pathetic website.There is no way to close or deactivate account.

Tried to send a few bucks to a friend of a friend in India for my friend's wedding gift. Remitly made it impossible to do so even after multiple ID verifications, phone calls, text, etc. I will never use their service for anything. Stay away unless you have an hour to kill with nothing to show for it

Do not use this Remitly company as un shophicated customer service, they representative used threatened word to block my account and very arrogant on phone when you have issue then you will realized how hard to speak to their customer service and they littrley block account without aknowledging and the person needs money in emergency and customer service is spoiled do not use this company again in case you have emergency there is no word to discribe when someone needs the money in most and rejected the transaction because some one on this company not qualified to work

Pathetic customer protection team and support team. I was unable to send money because they didn't like my VPN connection and no amount to verifying over the phone helped

Remitly has poor service. Requested to cancel transaction but they where not able to help me out. Called them multiple times and now ended up losing my money to a fraud. Don't recommend at all. Totally disgusted with their sevice.

I made a money transfer that took more than 5 days to complete, then I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and tried again and it turned out that it took another 4 days and nothing to complete the transfer, Be very careful with this company if you need to send money with urgency to someone outside the USA, Remitly is not at all reliable in completing transfers on time and the excuses are even worse than the poor service they offer their clients, SHAME ON THEM

I send money 3 days ago and the receiver was supposed to received it at 720 pm on Saturday. Everytime I called remitly the representative tells me a different story of why the receiver haven't receive it. I ask for a refund since day1 I was told I can't get a refund until their partner re turn the money. Next day call they wanted the receiver addresses so the process glean go faster. I was a load of bull they refunded me the fee. Day 2 called different stories and receiver still has not gotten the money. Finally on day 3 they said they will refund the money to me but it will take 10 days before I could get it since their so call partner did not send the money back. Don't use remitly unless you want to get scam.

Remitly is a great service, I always use it from North America to Asia but the only down part is Remitly Rate of Exchange. Even If you send 500 dollars only, remitly makes 45 dollars from Rate of Exchange. But on the other hand Western Union is a complete rip of. They not only make from ROE but also from service fee. Now if you remit 1000 dollars, Remitly makes 90 dollars In other words 9% of your total Remitly amount. It is recommended to transfer minimum. The more the amount, the more profit Remitly makes.

They stole $900 from my bank and now i am running around to get it back, no one seems to bother, stay away from this website as mush as you can.

I have used Remitly online remittance service to transfer funds to my family in the Philippines for years. Same time frame and the same recipients each month. My two, 1st of August 2023 support payments were transacted routinely. On the 15th of August, I noticed that unknown bank withdrawals were being made via Remitly online remittance service. Thousands had been fraudulently transferred to unknown foreign recipients. I immediately deactivated my Visa DEBIT bank card and contacted Remitly. Remitly customer service (located in a Call Center in the Philippines) denied any responsibility while claiming my account must have been "HACKED". Remitly had also increased my account SENDING LIMIT without my consent, so their cronies could empty my account faster. The so-called fraud department regretted that, their fraud monitoring system and two step verification had apparently failed. Remitly cleverly used Mobile Money transfers to avoid tracking the scam. I demanded that my account be closed to prevent further fraud attempts. Instead, Remitly conveniently deleted my account and erased all historical transactions. Remitly refused to reverse the fraudulent transactions or reimburse the stolen funds. I believe Remitly has criminal operatives within the company, conducting systemic cybercrime on a regular basis. Remitly is under investigation for fraud by local, state, and federal authorities. A Class Action preliminary investigation is forthcoming. Details to: *******@proton.me

I have been a customer for about a year until today! Remitly said the problem they were having today after over 6 hours waiting for my transfer it was their partner issues, they even said their partner in Mexico, after 7 hours of waiting I asked to cancel and within 10 minutes my money was in my account! That tells me it was their issues not their bank partner! I won't be using them anymore and I will tell my referral about this! My friend won't be using them either! I'm really disappointed and I'm going to their competitor

After using world remit without any issues for many transactions I tried remitly based of their claim of a better exchange rate. After creating the account, and right after I provided Remitly with the same information that world remit has the transaction was denied by a concern team (Apparently they met in less than1 second, reviewed the file, chgecked the data, never attempted to contact me and then lied.)
My bank has no documentation of Remitly submitting a request of funds so this is a scam. But there is worse: there rumors that a gang with iniside information has been using credit cards information gleaned inside remitly I have no direct knowledge of this but it makes sense. Please report to your bank anyd suspicious activities like mine. Their rating is very low in USA = for a reason!

Contacted the company and talked with the customer representative and were asking a list of personal questions about who was the recipient and the reasoning why I wanted to send the fund.

How many years do I know that person?
Name and last name.
Recipient business if they owed one?
How many people that I know that have been sending money to the recipient?
What was the money the recipient will be used for?
History of previous transactions.
Why did you choose their service vs other company services?
What are the company names that you use?
Where do you hear about the company?
How many transactions do you try to send out?
Where/how do you meet that person?
Still, more questions I couldn't recall…

I felt like I was being interviewed for a CEO role!

Overall, more like a list of scamming questions trying to gather as much information for their benefit.

In the end, they ended up with me not following their rules and suspending my account. I was like what did I do wrong…?

In my head, I thought kinda funny and ridiculous. Pretty much you wanna buy the product/service and they denied to sell/serve you while you pay for it, not for free.

The customer representative just said too bad I'm done with you. Pretty much you can go ahead using other services!

Went to check with Moneygrams and they had a higher rate and charged fees less than this company.

Don't ever use the criminal company, Big Fat Mistake. They intend to ROB YOU, THAT'S THEIR INTENTION. DON'T BE STUPID. THEY POST A GREAT MANY FAKE 5 STAR RATINGS, ALL B. S., YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY, I PROMISE YOU, UF YOU IGNORE MY WARNING.

I used to use Remitly quite often until they decided to change the sending options as express (lower Rate) & economy (slightly better rate) but only via bank transfer.
I think this is sad as I always use my debit card.
Plus they are no longer providing the best rates!

For a first time customer, Remitly offered the same rate for express sending as economy. Believing this, I did a money transfer overseas using the express option. However, while sending the money Remitly changed the sending speed to economy without any notification. Also they have a very small sending limit and totally useless rules that make it so inconvenient for people sending money for urgent and dire needs.
