I did send over 1000$ to my US account from Europe. The mail said the money should have come in by now but this is not the case. After reaching out to 3 different customer service employees the chat always went silence after sending the wire number. No support what so ever but we will keep pushing. After calling and mailing them and waiting 1,5weeks we got the money back!
Terrible service from a money transfer company who promise the world and deliver a barren atoll. Subject to fraudulent scammers their systems are suspect and compromised. Don't ever ever use, bad follow up bad customer service. Just an absolute disaster to deal with.
Don't use Remitly! This company has been very fast but with my most current transaction. To modify takes freaking days instead of the promised few hours. I requested to cancel the transaction and it has been 5 days now and no updates. I did another transaction for home delivery and it has been 2 days now and their customer service is stating the system is down and there's a problem with their receiving bank. You paid them express fee but you have to wait for the crow to turn white for a result. The customer service sucks. Call agents from different countries and will say the same words and line of conversations. I asked just to cancel the second transaction and guess what " if you cancel it will take 10 business days " just to process. There is nobody that you can escalate the matter to. If you love the people you're sending money to. Don't use Remitly.

I tried sending money via my debit card and kept saying that my bank denied the transaction. I contacted my bank and my bank stated that they never received the request from Remitly. I decided to send the money from my bank account, this process would take longer but at this time I did not have any other option. 9 Days later the recipient has not received the funds. They keep making excuses and now they just cancel the transaction and are trying to tell me that I need to wait 10 business days to get refunded. Worse service, I kept asking for a Corporate number and they would not provide it. They had me on the phone for over 2 hours and numerous times they hung up on me.

This is not safe transfer money site. My husband tried from this application and transection was not successful. And it's almost one month but still there is no response from that site. Even they are making full all time... This is not a safe at all never ever. Very bad side. My husband facing so much trouble from this.

Its been twice my experience with remitly. I send money knowing that its on minutes but its been days already and the money was not cleared till now, I called they ask so many question regarding my bank statement I send 1 statement but still they need more, so I said cancel it. It so annoying. I will stop using remitly for my remittance. There are better remittance company to replace remitly, so bad service.

I registered and tried to transfer them it said it would not go through and account suspended. So I called and an agent said apologized... And I said well if there's a question of anything then what about a quick video call off me holding my ID, others companies and the IRS verify you this way but noooooo. She was helpful though and I said the account would be unblocked in 2/48 hours and once the funds are back in my account I could transfer again and there would be no problem this time because she was making a note in my account plus she gave me a 20$ discount. So... A week later and I try again and the discount is there and after I did the same transaction, same recipient and same payment method, I called to double check that there would be no problems. Well the very rude agent said no my account is suspended again and she refused to give me her name or the name of her supervisor. Totally unprofessional and now the money is not where it needs to be in time. Horrible u professional company with zero checks in place just suspend.

I sent 200 to my husband in Africa and it was never sent to him it was kept on hold and never returned back to me. This never happened. I wasnt informed properly of their processes and they held onto my money. These guys are awful and i would not recommend sending your hard earned cash to these fools. They keep you on the phone for a long time trying to play you for a moron. They will not take responsibility for their actions for me they should be cut loose from the corporate world and taken to court for being scammers. I urge anyone out there who wants to use their service please dont these guy's are devil's who only want your money.

Needed to send £10 to a friend just for some food.
Three hours AFTER the payment reached Remitly they are asking for proof of ID questions like passport copies/national ID details, driving licences, bank statements.
Got hold of them via their Chat funtion and demanded an immediate refund. Then loads of excusese like it might take 48 hours, and my bank may not accept it etc. Will probably never see it again.
Really glad I didn't send a large sum.

These guys could be identity thieves for all I know.

Signed up and tried to execute a transfer but was met with delays, promises, apologies, more delays and broken promises. Nothing suspicious here, just a retired USCitizen visiting the Philippines. After missing their deadline, 14 hours later they asked for a Photo of my Passport, Bank Statement and to answer 7 or 8 questions. I immediately complied. Two hours later they asked for a selfie of me holding my Passport which I immediately did. That was over 4 hours ago and in about 30 minutes it will be 24 hours since I first requested this transfer. My problem now is they are holding my money so I can't go make multiple withdrawals Over the next few days from the ATM. This company sucks.

First time setting up an account to send money back home due to pandemic. 24 hours late my account was locked due to suspicious activity. I've called numerous times, always being told I will receive a call back to establish a resolution. 2 weeks later and many more calls, now account is officially, permanently locked and there is no one I can talk to for account restoration. Guess the big promo put them out of the customer service business! Official complaint lodged with the BBB, CFPB and the FTC.

Remitely cancelled my account without warning and without notice. The Customer Protection Team identified 'behavior violating the user agreement' but could not tell me what that behavior might have been. We have been transferring wages to overseas staff since April 2020 due to Covid. No idea what might be different and will never find out - rely on this service at your peril.

Remitly is totally Fraud.
Remitly charged me money for my transaction. They took my money from Australia bank account on 21st Apr 2022 and till now they did not transfered money to my Indian account. Called Customer support three times but proper response from them.

Had an account for several years. Use it once in a while. Tried to login after a month. Was unable to because, there had been suspicious behavior. I thought I was hacked. Contacted support.

10 days and my money has Still not reached my account. 5 days over and everytume response I get is money is with the recipient bank and we will write them an email to deposit money to your account. This is my last time dealing with them and herein will be advising everyone and everywhere to not use Remitly.

Avoid Remitly at all costs. My experience with them has been extremely dissappointing. Transfers are put on hold for an inordinate amount of time. When speaking to them, they ask unneccessary and highly intrusive questions, and also ask for potentially sensitive financial information. I have never in my life experienced being asked by a service company such probing questions that border on offensive like Remitly has. Transfers are slow, and do not arrive on time. Refunds are held and at times never sent. They are without a doubt, the worst money transfer service I have dealt with.

One of the worst Companies i ever had to deal with, I sent over $3,000,00 overseas to my Family in Pakistan, The app said transaction was complete and the money was deposited in the account, However
I called just to find out that money was never deposited into the account.
I called the telephone number that they had provided to me, Customer service told me that account number was incorrect but inf act it was correct. No help no supervisor to speak to this is a shady operation. I would never recommend anyone to do business with this company

My mom send money to india, they took the money out of my mom's account and than the money was never transferred to the Indian account which we provided, upon inquiring with their customer service, we have been told that my mom's account has been deactivated. I am on hold trying to figure out when we will get the money back in our account. They are scammers please don't send your hard earned money through them.

I Have never seen a remittance company this bad. My first transfer they asked why.
My second transfer they asked for more proof
They have my passport + licence + bank statement + proof of send (My wife)
They Canceled my second transfer after sending my ID and bank statement and pointed me to the terms and conditions. My account was disabled which also disables Live chat, Email support and Phone support.
If i can't send to my wife, why does this site even exist?
Useless company, do not trust them with your money.

I tried remitting SGD150 to a friend and had the 3rd degree verification. Who sends their ID for verification as requested by the Chat Bot Staff.
It is absurd that I needed to verify when my bank gave me an authorisation code for the transaction.
Thankfully the charge to my credit card was reversed by Remitly. I double-checked with my bank.
Simpler to use Western Union or other online services.

They canceled my transaction and I had to call and find out why. I provided them with all the information they requested, but they still canceled my account. I made the exact same payment the month prior with no problem. Now all of a sudden it violates service, even though the terms say I can use it for this service. I was referred to them by my friend who uses them for over a year to pay the same person. Their company is trash and then they take over 2 weeks to refund your money if they refund it all. Worst company. Save yourself the trouble and use Western Union.
