I did send over 1000$ to my US account from Europe. The mail said the money should have come in by now but this is not the case. After reaching out to 3 different customer service employees the chat always went silence after sending the wire number. No support what so ever but we will keep pushing. After calling and mailing them and waiting 1,5weeks we got the money back!
Terrible service from a money transfer company who promise the world and deliver a barren atoll. Subject to fraudulent scammers their systems are suspect and compromised. Don't ever ever use, bad follow up bad customer service. Just an absolute disaster to deal with.
I make a mistake by sending my wife some money through remitly.
I send money through Zoom and get the cash delivery whiting hours, but wanted to try remitly and didn't like that the transfer will take 9 days to be delivered to my wife and got notified of the delivery timing until after y summit it and got my transaction receipt. 3 days later I was told by a representative that it does take that long because of I set up my account with my bank info, no with my credit or debit card. Thumbs down to REMITLY.

I opened an account with this service to send some money. The account process was smooth. I proceeded to send money with normality. Problem came when they service started asking me about where I worked, what I do. The purpose to send money. This was no problem and answered to my fullest. A day later, these people closed my account and did not reverse the funds. I had to call and they were not able to help me. These people are very unprofessional! Do not recommend.

I lost $55 yesterday, the information I entered and receipt i received is different. Then I had to send again to my friend. But bank charged me twins and I requested to cancel the transaction within 5 mins.

I initiated a transfer with Remitly on 07/05 to my bjank account but the money wasn't deposited despite Remitly lying to me that the funds had been deposited. I had to call numerous times to follow up and they ask the same stupid questions each time I call and tell me the same lie. They always say that they are waiting for Their partner to advise why the money has not hit my bank account. Such a terrible service and I would not recommend anyone. They have not even offered any solution to make up for the inconveniences caused. What a scam!

First y tried to send 980 USD from Germany to Peru, wich worked fine. Then I send twice a amount of close to 2500 USD. Both timed they charge the money an then rejected the operation, saying that muy acount was not affected. This was a lie because the received de money and paid it back only several day later which caused me big trouble. Chating with the Remitly personal the told me that for internal policy reasons the could no give me an explanation. They only sayed I had committed something illegal, but I dit everything correctly and using afterwards Xoom I had no trouble. This was the worst experience I ever had with sending money.

Dont even think of using this app unless you want to be scammed. They are holding up my money for 10 days now, and no one can solve the problem, i already contacted them via chat and email and they always say the same thing, that the recipient bank has to allow the transaction and they would send an email to the bank. Nothing happens though. Also they don't want to send my money back to me, it seems like they're using my money. I transferred this amount to pay my sister school, and they're scamming me. Cowards!

Remitly is the worst money transfer company, they take too long to send and cancel transfers for no reason. I would never use Remitly ever again, i now use QUIKZ or XE much better money transfer companies to deal with. No transfer fees either.\

People easly stole your information in this website and then they treat you as your are the thief. BE AWARE of this web site somebody stole my information and they do NOTHING! 3 days trying to connect to them. Then 3 hours trying to be transfer to somebody who can do something for me and still nothing. They haven't help me at all. Imagine have to deal with in this hard times

They hold your money for days and after that they call you to ask for questions and ask for your bank statements, they even ask how your money came from. They are just bizarre and if you refuse to answer the questions they will just take days to refund your money, use other company because they really suck!

The money never received by the receiver.
Remitly claims that it was but the receiver states that it's not.
Remitly Customer service is going to do a trace to see what happened but if there's a certain that it was received, they should have proof of that, but they cannot provide it.
Is this point this is my formal notice to the company remitly if you do not send me back the almost $900 back to my account within this week. I am going to send a legal letter to demand the money in small claims court.
I have read over 500 reviews of you losing peoples money, playing games with CustomerService and you're doing the same tactics to me so I'm not going to go through it you have until Wednesday to return my money or I'm going to send a notice of demand to Delaware to your registered agent and I'm going to initiate a small claims court lawsuit against you for failure to deliver the money and failure to comply with banking laws in know your customer KYC verification as he didn't do any at all, but your claim that the money got there somehow.
It never got there so you owe me the money. I want money back and I'm going to get the money back.

Please don't use Remitly if you want a smooth transaction. They claim that the money will be available on a particular day but it's not the case. Also on cancellation, it takes 10 business days for your money to be back to your bank account. They have mentioned on the website that if you cancel a transaction within 24 hours, no money will be deducted from your account. However when I did so because I was getting a far more better rate on Xoom, they deducted my money from the bank 3 days after I had already canceled the transaction (within 24hours). When I contacted the customer care, they were rude and non-cooperative and brushed away my concerns. The amount I was sending was not small but in thousands and it mattered to me that my funds reached on time. Now I'm left with no option but to wait for another 10 business days to transfer my money.

I was trying to send money to India at the same time that I was checking the exchange rates on XE.com. When I entered in the amounts, I saw that something didn't add up correctly. Upon doing a reverse check, it was discovered that Remity was in fact charging close to 80 aud as concealed, which is information that a lay man would not easily obtain. Beware!

On March 18,2020, I used this app to send money to Brazil. After one week I got a receipt saying the transaction was completed and that money was in my account. How come they sent me a receipt if the money never got in my account? Besides, I tried a hundred times to reach their custom service with no luck. Almost a month later, and nobody never answered me, either by phone, email, Facebook, or Dove message. Sooo disappointed! I understand all the services are reduced, but theirs are just inexistent. There's just no way to reach them. I just don't know what else I can do to get this money back or transferred.

Remitly is horrible, I have to repeat my scenario each time I call, and the answer I get depends on who I talk to that day. The supervisory team makes false promises and say they will resolve the matter. It has been 16 days and I still am waiting for my 'expedited' transfer. HORRIBLE service!

I was never confident about using Remitly but a friend suggested me to send money through Remitly convincing me for a better rate and quick service. Well I sent money on April 7th and the expected date of delivery was April 13 but after multiple attempts, for 3 days the recipient was unable to pick up the money. The recipient bank completely was ignorant about the transaction. I decided to cancel the transaction and hit by another surprise, that I would get my money back after two weeks. I would never use Remitly again.

Don't EVER use this company. They are a joke. I've been on the phone with customer service for HOURS this morning. I sent TWO payments yesterday to the same person. One went through and one did not. The bank came back and said that the name I provided doesn't match the account which is a bunch of crap because I've been paying this person for months with the same information and the same account. One person went back to the bank and said they corrected it but they did not so I called back for a FOURTH time. This person is just lazy and refuses to contact the bank and get the problem resolved. They also refuse to refund my money. Completely unbelievable. DO NOT USE EVER!

First time they send the right amount they tell you by the message to earn your trust and 2nd time they start cheating you by sending the less amount and the customer service phone they list in the web site does not answer. Be very careful I got $7 less amount received the other side the whole purpose to save money for the service fees is ruined and my party on the other end got frustrated by dealing with the bank who got less money after Remitly transfer. I might start a law suit for these bastards.

Do not use this app. I sent money to a friend and then they said that the bank at my friends country didn't receive it so I had to cancel it and they did refund me my money which was fine. But then, about two months later I see in my bank account that Remitly removed the same amount that I sent without my approval. I called customer service and they told me that they would return my money and that they don't know why that happened. They said to way 72 hrs to get the money back. I kept sending emails and calling after the 72hrs and I still haven't received anything and they won't answer my emails anymore. I basically got money taken from my account without my consent. Don't use this.

After 48 hours of sending dozen pics of my driver license when I called they told me they were still holding the transfer now they needed me holding the driver license in my hand and upload to send them! What a joke. Never ever again!

Joined 1st time seemed straight forward. Then transactions was put on hold no information why. Contact customers service they said that bank of my choice( fir Šiauliai was given 2 choices only) did not deal with euro transactions... Nonsense this was one of the oldest banks in Lithuania "Medicinos bankas" and euro us Lithuanian currency and been for years. This bank wax exchange 80% of world's currency since I knew it 19 yers in my case... they should not offer services that they can not provide.
