I used carla to rent a ca however I ended up not getting my rental due to close branch. They closed early so didn't get my car. But carla clean the mess of supplier and refunded my amount and gave me 50 usd credits for free. I get very pleasant experience so far. I will use my credits in future

I tried to rent a car through them. I showed up at the rental company at the airport They refused my voucher. I then had to figure out a way to get my daughter and I to my mom's house. She was in hospice care. Because I didn't honor my first voucher I was supposed to pick up a second rental in 3 days. I decided to cancel it Well beyond the 48 hour notice needed. They refuse to refund my money. Since they used Affirm, They had already been paid so they had no incentive to satisfy this customer. I never received a rental from them and I am still being chased by collection agency for $800. I tried to appeal through their non-existent customer service multiple times They kept closing my case because they said it had been a month since it had been opened and it had done nothing. I reopened diligently for almost a year. I escalated. No response.

Make a booking a few days ago and paid a deposit.

Last night, without notification nor supporting document, Carla Istanbul (different entity from the one who charged the deposit), they went on trying to charge more double that initial amount.

When questioned, they replied it was ok for them to do so since the difference would be waived at car pick up.

This screams like a scam. I feel stupid. I am cancelling my booking with them right away.

I think this frustrated forum should gang up and file a lawsuit against these people.they are ripping the law abiding citizens and taxpayers of this land.i reserved a rental car with them today the app froze for quite sometime then they sliced $57 from my account.no one or number is given to call and walk you over the process. All my efforts of reaching out to them landed between a stone and a hard ground.they are so frustrating.i think its just a conglomeration of vultures that are out to tear their prey.i would never recommend anyone with their good judgment to opt use this service. They just a group of untrained customer service.they even went ahead and said that my voucher number was invalid. Sucks!

They rip you off $87 for a cancellation that was done on the same day of the reservation. You try to contact them… no phone number. Their email reply-
"Due to workload and time management reasons, we can only assist our customers via tickets.
Please be informed that credits can not be converted into cash/refund once applied. Your credits will be valid up to 2 years, you may share them with your family and friends.
You may consider this answer as the final one."

They rely on "free cancellation" and advertise based on that premise. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere as those wont refund you a dime. Their only way for customer service is sending email. Hope for a reply? Yeah, good luck with that! By the way, my cancellation was made two and a half months before the day of picking up the rented car. So for your own sack use trusted sites!

The app is in my is like a lot companies today especially 3 rd party they will talk to you instead an automated system will reply best as possible but once you made reservations threw them they have you locked in no matter if the discount code are working or and conveniently after reservation the automated will.contact and want yr opinion well here Carla is misleading and fraudulent in some ways but at the least not a good company to use especially with yr name and credit card

I put in my credit card information just because I wanted to compare my options with other rental agencies but I couldn't find anything that I like so I exited out the app but then maybe an hour later I got charge for $54 on my account and I contacted them and they said that I had a reservation for a rental in Rhydia, Saudi Arabia? Which is wild because I don't even have a passport, so how and why could I possibly book that? Anyways I emailed them and called probably two weeks straight and they just had me running around in circles and then they tried to offer me a $60 credit which is wild again because I never paid for anything. I never authorized anything but they're saying they can't refund.

Never received a rental car and canceled a day before I don't like the results from this company of not receiving a refund or helping me to stop a payment taking from my account every 2 weeks for a rental car I never received. I will make sure never to try to go the company ever again and inform other people, I know, do not trust this company of getting a rental car or you will lose your money.

These people to 70 dollars out of my account for looking at my options to rent a car which I never did. I had to put in my information just to see the options they had and didn't go with them and they still took two separate payments out of my account and now I can't get in touch with anyone who will help me get my money back. Thieves is what these people are and it's bulls$*t that they are allowed to do this with no consequences. You or I were to just take someone's money we'd be in jail by the end of the day stay away from this place their a joke

Do not rent through them! Carla is not the kind of app that anyone should get tied up in. The refund policy is based on if they deem you worthy not on if a refund is necessary. Their support is cold and not honest. When looking for a rental company look elsewhere. I am still missing $150 from them.

Okay, the app was easy and everything, but when we had a problem and had to contact Carla, that's when the problems began. To get customer support, you have to use the app to open a "ticket". The good people at Carla respond to the "ticket" by email when the mood strikes them, which in my case was days later when I threatened to dispute the credit card charge. Finally, responding to my "ticket" moved up on their to-do list. And yet, after exchanging a few brief emails in which they told me I had to deal with the rental car company, I began to wonder why I had even used the app in the first place. Why outsource your car rental to a third party company that provides zero customer support and simply points you back to the rental company with any issues? There is no telephone number, no web chat, nothing but a rude email a few days after the fact. Skip the middleman, or at least choose one that wants to earn your business.

From beginning to end I had nothing but problems. Still am. At p/u they were rude and unhelpful. They charged more than they should have due to mistakes they made. I tried email almost everyday. A 550$ car rental became 1500. And I was offered 145 carla bucks. I've been hung up on and ignored. Ruined my trip took money I needed for trip

They kept my $65, after not even renting a car, sent it to me on a Carla credit card that I am unable to use anywhere but there. So basically, they are stealing money from people. Would definitely be better off going through Avis, Budget, or another one of the big names, but I would definitely stay away from Carla, unless you want to get ripped off.

Unable to get back any refund after being told my information in the system was incorrect. Unable to speak to anyone. If you call their contact number you will never ever at no time get anyone to talk to. All they want to do is collect people's money without the possibility of getting a refund. I believe the good reviews were made up by them. It's the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life and I am 53 years of age.
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being poor and 10 excellent this company gets a 0.
No good.

I tried to rent a car without a credit card. I clicked on I don't have a credit card and I was still charged and not allowed a refund. The app is now not allowing me access to my funds or the reservation I made. I paid for free trip cancelation and I was not allowed to cancel.

These company is horrible, they stole $306 from me and I didn't even rent a car. And a $19 transaction just posted to my account from these sorry folks. Nonsense! Save yourself the hassle burn your money in the fireplace but don't give it to Carla Car

Never received a rental car - I cancelled the car because they changed my pick up date - I told them that was not an option I needed to pick up the car on the day I requested. They have one agent that answers the phone and says they have no supervisor available. I have reached out via email as well and get no response. THIS company IS A SCAM

I did not recommend going to Carla even if you cancel a reservation it doesn't fall through they still take $20 out of your debit card it might say something like that their policy but if a service is not rendered they should not be paid so therefore I would not use the service to rent a car

I booked a car through Carla. When I found out the rental company required a return flight I cancelled my resercation. This was not even 12 hours later and no where did it state the reservation was non refundable. Long story short, I'm out several hundred dollars because they are shady and don't disclose these things up front before you book. Use any other rental service but NOT Carla

They set you up with great pricing. Give you a corporate name to use for signing in at the Rental office and you don't know what the corporation code is because you never worked there. In fact, Budget car rental has had their lawyers send out seize and dismiss. They are told to never use the Budget's name for car rentals because the customer gets upset when they don't get the discount that was offered. From the fraudulent vendor named Carla Rentals

I got charge $1,713.57 when I tried to cancel it you can only email so it took them longer to respond which I would've meet the minimum standard to qualify for a refund. Now I have to pay that amount and I never even used the product nor even seen the product. A horrible company.

I rented a Santa Fe with Carla last week and my trip was perfect! I got a great deal booked in advance and paid full. The rental and pick-up process was very easy and took only a few seconds to get my confirmation.

You can check their full prepaid rates, they are really great if your trip is certain and you do not plan on canceling it!

Was charged 103.00 for nothing. Went to the place they sent me to. No cars available. Asked for refund no refund issued. Please please stay away from this company they are beating people out of their money

I've tried to get a refund from them for over 2 months now. I have photos of the proof that they lied and tried to changed the reservation amount on me. They said a deposit of maybe 350 they wanted to charge me 500. Then they wanted to up the price of the car I was renting and just sneak it in. All they owe me is $107. I've created multiple tickets, spoke with multiple people and paid for the hassle free refund service if anything goes wrong. All has been a hassle. Never use this company ever. You will get scammed and deceived. I paid $107 down according to my bank statement and they refuse to refund me.

Don't use the site. Go to turn at least the charges are upfront

I booked using Carla because of its low prices. I thought it would emulate Turo's service…. Boy was I writing. It's a BOOKING service. That's it. I still had to wait two hours at the airport to speak with an Avis representative. Avis told me that NONE of my reservation was paid. I called Carla- they agreed I had paid for a reservation. TWO CHARGES ($45) on my account. I have called and emailed asking for a refund to no avail. I will have to dispute them with my bank. STAY AWAY. These fake companies are really a disgrace.
