I ordered some brake rotors and their online picture did not match. So I returned them. All was fine with the automated return and free label until... I made the mistake of contacting customer service to fix the mistake. At which point they voided my labels and charged me. They still won't admit the mistake.

Contacting them nicely made it worse and now I can see how greedy and petty they are

The parts Rock Auto sent me are cheap. They use plastic parts where the OEM part is metal. They have a terrible return policy. Their website is misleading. I thought I was ordering the correct part because it came up for my year, make and model, but it was for a year newer. Not only did it waste my time, they refused to pay for return shipping. I order everything on the internet and no company has ever done this to me.

Their error at your expense

Purchased brake pads which did not fit my car. The fitment listing is incorrect on their website. Returned pads for refund but Rock Auto does not refund shipping even when error is theirs. Their error cost me $12.83.

Ordered a left and a right cv axle only received one. All I got from rock auto was the run around and we're sorry sorry didn't fix my car. Took the cv axle back to local fed ex told them they could send it back to their partners at rock auto. Walked out and left the axle on the counter $90 lesson learned.spend the extra money and get your parts at a real store where they know what their doing.

Part time mechanic

I have been very happy with the parts I have ordered over the years. I rarely find the need for local parts stores. From a c3 corvette, Tahoe's, Volkswagen, Mini Cooper, it doesn't matter. Great service. Thank you.

Your parts dont show and you never get a refund for parts that never are delivered. Contact customer service to get a rude message back that states take it up with your renters insurance? This company os a rip off artist this has happened to me and my wife with parts that cost over a hundred dollars... Even sending in video and photo proof no one came to my door in fresh snow no indentation of a package...

Horrible Customer Service
September 6, 2023

When you call the number for assistance, their automated message says they do not offer customer service over the phone. The options under "help now" on their website are broad and useless.
I finally located their email and reached out for help and they were quick to blame my for my inability to order an item using PayPal. They advised me to use the "help now" section rather than bother them and they closed the ticket. Disgusting service.

Have ordered parts a number of times from rock auto. They have great customer service and ship to military personnel overseas. For some parts, they have tutorials videos of how to install (window regulator motor). The also provide OEM parts and prices are very good. They will give your emails monthly for helpful advice. With your order, they also put "fridge" magnets in the box. They use photos of customers cars that have been fixed with parts from the site.

If you're looking for a business that will work with you do not attempt to shop with rock auto. The low prices are a mirage to poor quality customer service and rude employees. It is not worth the hassle!

Paid extra for overnight shipping, tracking states picked up but carrier states it hasn't been picked up. No customer service to call will never buy from again a couple of bucks more is worth the customer service else were...

Had to wait for it to come to return it didn't even need it since we double ordered the product now have to pay for shipping $30 won't get that back terrible customer service no one answers phone can't get the online virtual text without them wanting you to give $47 it is a rip off, parts are good usually though when they are received but to try to return or cancel an order is a pure nightmare with this company

I ordered 4 O2 sensors about 1.5 months ago. Shipped all 4 back without communication with them. 2 I put on vehicle and ran about 1/4 mile so used ( I guess). Told them I used 2 and 2 I didn't. Been emailing them with no response... This is just mind blowing that a company would operate this way. Crooks... Really deserve negative stars

No Help at All!

Asked a simple question of support. I took the time to include photos & all the info they might need. The answer I got was a cut & paste answer that completely disregarded the info I sent. Basically if you can't find it on the website... too bad.

OK... lost me as a customer... too bad!

Why do they waste money advertising on TV? I guess for those who don't take the time to read reviews.

Faulty fuel injectors
September 5, 2020

I bought fuel injectors for my truck paid to have them installed had a hard starting issue after they were installed paid again to troubleshoot the problem to find out 6 out of 8 injectors were leaking the dealer replaced them with original parts i had them replace all 8 problem solved rick auto won't give me my money back says I need to buy more faulty injectors stay away from this place at all costs

Mistake on shipping!

I ship a part to Rockauto by mistake which I know was my fault. Rick auto received my part and was signed by them by FedEx. I tried about everything to get them to send the part back even I would pay for it. After many times of trying to get it back i was told they don't keep records of all their shipments! I call BS. I would never order or recommend this company. Very! Very Dishonest company & Staff!

I was satisfied with the parts from Rock Auto in the past but when the parts do not fit what do you do?
The parts I got do not fit - I did not take them out of the wrapper - it was clear from visual inspection that
They would not work. No one to talk too - automatic response to canned questions. I will be looking for a better company who will appreciate my hard earned money.

I take care of a family member who is on disability. His disability debit card has a charge on it from Rock Auto. Funny thing is, he doesn't drive, or own a car! He didn't order anything from this company. However, I can't prove it to Master Card, which is who the debit card is through, because Rock Auto doesn't have customer service. There is no one to talk to or email for help!

It seems every time I order from them they will create a shipping label the same day, however they don't actually ship the item out to the carrier for several days. On one order the shipping label was generated however the tracking said that FedEx didn't receive the item until 4 days later. It seems as if they updated the tracking the same day to make you feel like they are on top of it, but just take their sweet time in actually shipping the item out from their warehouse.

Normally any parts i have ordered were the right ones and undamaged. My last three orders, the first two i was sent the wrong parts and the last arrived damaged. I am not sure whats going on but its getting silly. I spend more time trying to get the right part undamaged. The best part, Can i try to straighten it out to use it? Nope.

Bad Service
May 20, 2018

Bought flywheel installed it had to to see if it would work. Wrong one which was my fault. But they will not give refund. Bought another item from them and it was not in box when received called the number and person on phone was rude telling us you had to do it over internet. Will never buy from them again. Should have read reviews.
