Returned a NEW part never removed from the box. Ordered incorrect part. Returned with approval and received a reply four days later saying the part was used and not able to resale so no refund and will be throwing it away if not wanted.
Can't believe what I'm hearing. Beware is you order something and it is incorrect.
Ive ordered and recieved parts from this company for some time now have never had even a hint of an issue the prices are very competitive their
range of parts is many and varied and their supply time to me is often quicker than buying here in Australia great work guys keep it up
I had placed an order prematurely with RockAuto. I tried to call and cancel the order but the phone # you call says they do not handle consumer issues over the phone. It is strictly handled online only.
So I email them@ the email on the site and no one gets back to you for close to a week. Then its the run around non stop with excuses like the order has already been shipped and that I can submit and RMA after I receive the parts.
The good pricing does not justify the horrible customer service...
I'll pay double and shop at autozone or napa
I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered a wheel bearing/hub/knuckle assembly UltraPower ******* and the hub has the wrong number of splines. Supposed to have 28, and only has 27. It's been more than 30 days, so can't do anything about it with RockAuto. Had to purchase the correct hub/bearing from a local parts store, press out/in, and spend more $ to get it done right. You can't call RockAuto (online only) and you can't email anyone at RockAuto. Absolutely no customer service! No wonder the part was so cheap (1/3 the price) of any local stores. It doesn't work!
Bought a set of loaded gabriel struts failed. Rock auto didnt have the replacements i wanted to exchange. Wont give me store credit for something else but no. Thank you Rock Auto for wonderful service...not.
We ordered parts on 1/18/18 (Thursday)to be delivered by 1/19/18 (Friday). Paid a premium of $ 350.00 for the express service. Got an email confirming delivery. On 1/19/18 parts were not received and tracking info had been changed to delivery on 1/22/18. After several calls to FedEx on Saturday morning found an individual that located the parts two hours away in a shipping depot. They were scheduled to be delivered on 1/22/18. We sent someone on a two hour trip to pick them up from shipping depot. Only 2 of 4 parts were there. Filed complaint with RockAuto they said they would not refund shipping charges, in fact they were going to charge us for 2-day shipping and refund us only $ 92.00 of our original $ 350.00 overnight shipping charges because they say the parts were "Delivered". They were not delivered we had to pay an employee overtime rates to drive two hours to facility to pick them up. Even then only 2 of the 4 parts were there.
If you are not planning on fixing your car for 2 months then buy from rockauto especially for Canadians, they dont hold their courier partners e.g. DHL/UPS/FEDEX accountable and thier customer service is a joke. I ordered brake parts and it showed up 3.5 weeks later. Their response to assisting you is to blame you as the customer especially Jaren
I have bought a WHOLE LOT OF PARTS from rockauto and have only had 2 parts fail on me. This happens no matter where you buy parts for vehicles so no surprise with the amount I have bought. But, they have a fantastic return policy and as long as you pay at renting to the part you are purchasing's manufacturer warranty you won't have issues. They pay for wrong part or warranty part shipping return but not I don't want it anymore returns. They do however for I don't want it and core returns, offer their FedEx discount account price so, I just don't understand these negative reviews. I hope this helps someone. RA is legit and has helped me save a butt load of money, over the years for a DIY mechanic. I attached proof I did buy these items and a lot this year 2023 and some 2022 and one in 2020. But, my father has used them for 8+ years
Their return process is bad. They mailed the wrong part and wanted me to pay return shipping, I will never use them again. I found no way to speak to a real person, all answers were prepopulated. Not impressed at all. Please boycott this company.
Rock auto refuses to talk to its customers Oh wait I can send an email and some off shore nontechnical person is going to say oh I dont know...After they get paid why worry about it? They want your money not a customer service award...
I have used them many times. Everything is fine until a part fails. There is no way to contact the company or speak to a person- no email, no phone number, no chat. After one year, a front shock/strut assembly failed. It was still under warranty, but my only option was to buy a new one (the exact same part), and ship the old one back hoping they would actually deem it failed. First, I have no interest in buying the exact same part again and risk another failure. Secondly, after paying shipping on the new part and shipping on sending the old one back, I would only receive a fraction of what I initially paid for the part. No thanks. Lesson learned. I'll cut my losses and won't be using RockAuto again.
Do not deal with this company. I should of stayed away when I saw you can only contact them by mail. Took 3 weeks to get a part they had in stock. Couldn't wait had to buy it locally to get my vehicle back on the road. Then they would not let me return it. Stay away. Customer service sucks.
Ordered radiator was suppose to arrive one day never came delivery date changed to next day... never showed up and email /tracking info said delivered... still waiting to hear back from Rock auto gotta wait over a week! Smh! Horrible experience just going to Napa/pep boys from now on
I have been repeatedly screwed by rock auto between wrong parts in packaging with correct part number on the box and used broken part supposed to be new in box and I can't even return or exchange for replacement after I just got it 32 days ago. I'm not a shop just a diy guy trying to fix my truck. I always work on my own trucks and no problem like this.
Enjoy rock auto it's the last 4,500+. 00 I will ever spend on your parts. Reporting to bbb and contacting a attorney.
The title says it all. Make sure you know exactly what you need and that they are sending you exactly what you ordered because if not, don't expect any help in getting any issues resolved. Go to Autozone or whatever instead of this dead beat company... Horrible. They sent me 2 wrong parts and I had to contact PayPal to get RockGarbage attention.
My parts shipped using FedEx, driver put part out in my yard 500 ft from my house and only 5ft off a busy county rd. No reason that they could not have been put at the house. The parts was gone by the time I got home. Rockauto said tuff luck as did FedEx. Can no long use rockauto because my parts would just disappear again! Poor customer service!
Bought a new AC Delco starter for my 1972 chevy. 88 days later it died just quit working. After a week of trying to get a hold of someone my answer came back. "It's out of warranty now" I said it wasn't when I first contacted you. I got the so sad to bad, do you want to buy another one? I hats where I'm going from now on.
I have used Rockauto for many years, until this week. I ordered the correct rotors for my truck, according to Rockauto's description and pictures. I received the wrong rotors. There is no option for this situation in the Rockauto return process except to pay for "discounted" return shipping. There is no way to contact Rockauto to ask why I paid return shipping to cover their mistake. I have closed my account and will never buy from them again. Well done Rockauto...
I ordered a drivers side mirror from rock auto on Thursday 07/15/2021 paid $ 21.07, part, tax & shipping. Enter all my information mailing address email phone number credit card, payment went through, rock auto advised a confirmation email would be sent out to me within 24 to 48 hours to advise shipping, still waiting! Can't talk to a real person, tried their email service and they wanted to charge me another $5.00 to speak to a real person to steal more money. Rock Auto are Thefts and you will not receive your parts from them, even tried looking up my order on their website by email and part number and it said no email on file, they will steal your money! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!
Getting parts together to put my daughters vehicle back together. Ordered a alternator from Rock Auto. Once all parts arrived we started putting the parts on and that's when we discovered that we had been sent the wrong alternator. Because we were over 30 days out (about 10 days over) Rock Auto would not accept the return and send the right alternator or refund. Won't deal with them again and won't recommend either. Order number ******* if they want to make good. They have my email. If make good I will retrack. I'm not faultless but they won't even work with you, poor customer service.
