I received my package today on 08/07/2023 and when I opened the package it was an order for someone else. The box had my information on it but the purchase order had someone else's name and their parts not mine. I was needing to talk to someone about it but there is no customer service to speak to someone. I had to do a return/refund on the website and ended up getting charged $7.33 for a return label so I could send the wrong parts back to them. I would highly recommend using a car parts.com because apparently Rockauto is about making money and not assisting their customers.Below is a photo of the box with my information and the order receipt that was in the box which is an order for someone else.

Horrible customer service. Ordered a part and paid extra for next day shipping. Recieved wrong part 4 days late. Had to pay another fee for return, refund came in minus both shipping charges. Thanks for the waist of time and costing me $40+

Shipment to europe

Never again, the shipment was fast, but I ordered 12 small things like a relay, a temostat... and they sent it to me in 6 packages, when I had to pay 6 times unnecessarily customs duties and set-up costs.
Order for 400$ and additional payments of 250$

I ordered a drive shaft that FedEx cannot locate. It is impossible to to get service of even the simplest form. They have had my $393. Since June 19th and I keep getting the run around. Don't use these people they are the scum of this industry.

THE WORST:::: Ordered 2 parts, received 1 and still waiting on the other. Each time I call I get a different answer. Never call you back. I was referred to them by an employee at advance auto part. I will never order from them again. No one know what is going on. The Worst of the Worst.

Bad Memory of Rude

Whenever I see their dumb commercial, all I think of is the bad experience I had when they opened years ago. I called for a car part and didn't have the exact info and the guy went ballistiic! He tried to make me feel like an idiot. He was a mental jerk! Like they say in advertising... You always remember how someone made you feel, not what they said

Do Not Use RockAuto
October 2, 2023

I purchased a set of front brakes for my BMW. Two of the brake pads were faulty, instead of simply replacing the pads they charged me 50% of the cost to ship them ($8) and I had to pay for the shipping to return them ($17). It cost me $25 to replace a $75 item. They are horrible!

Rock Auto Order Confirmation Order #******* Ordered 08-03-2022,
This will be the last time for to use your service sorry to say. Reason your Warehouse is 2-2 1/2 hours from my home and it takes you 8 days to get a package to me. Bad, Bad Bad. I will just use a local supplier now since your pricing is not much better than the parts store but I can have required items within hours verses days.

No customer service whatsoever. Everything is fine and dandy until there is a problem and you try to call them about an issue, mean while your partial order is being shipped out and you no Longer need due to the unavailability of the other part that they no longer have in stock.

Worst ever!

Buyer beware before using RockAuto for the following reasons: Their website is a nightmare to navigate and is not accurate, I was able to order and receive the wrong parts for my vehicle even when it was listed accurately. It is also a nightmare to cancel orders and won't let you cancel items after cancelling one item. They also charge random and different shipping charges for the same item on separate orders. You need to know the exact part numbers before ordering to not order wrong. If you do order parts in error or receive them, there is no customer service whatsoever, no chat, phone, or email, just the electronic web site. No one to fix things or complain to. The customer pays for shipping both directions even on parts incorrectly listed on their horrible site. Do not use them!

I accidentally got charged twice. I called them and left a message and they got back to my less than 5 minutes. Had my whole situation pulled up. Explained everything to me. Was extremely nice. I seriously will not anywhere where for my car parts. So glad I was told about them.

Ordered a few parts for my vehicle and paid extra for FedEx shipping so I would have parts a few days sooner. FedEx never received the parts to ship until 5 days later and then it was 2 more days before I received them which was 4 days later than estimated. The tracking info they provided did not lead to info until a day before I received my parts. Now they I did not pay for expedited shipping just paid more for FedEx ground instead of USPS. $26 extra to receive my parts later then USPS. Of course they handle all of their complaints online because if someone could see the crooks ripping them off they would be able to identify them for legal purposes. Stay Away from this company. No regard for hard working peoples money.

brake parts for F 350, and rockauto will not refund my money. I can why see why they received an average 1.57 stars rating. They are bad, bad, bad. They cost me over $500 dollars

Wrong Part
September 15, 2020

They shipped me wrong part and wouldn't ship right part until they received tracking number of returned part. Now shipping correct part 4 days later. Should get free expedited shipping for their mistake. Now I won't have part by the weekend when I was going to do job. There seems to be no way to contact them to complain other than write reviews

Bought an alternator and it was defective when I got it. There is no customer service to resolve problems.
If I realized you don't have customer service to help resolve problems. I would have purchased from someone else. Very disappointed my truck is down and I have no ride.

I normally use them alot but they are extremely worthless i do not wish my worse night mare to deal with them sent me a return label i paid get it sent back know there not refunding me not returning item back keeping the item so now im out almost 200 dollars please be careful everyone they dont even deserve a 1 star

I ordered a rack&pinion for my Audi. I used the R&R(repair and return) since I didn't need it real quick. A month later I looking for it they didn't have any information, I supplied the information. A week later I get the new part. Its different. Length, steering shaft placement, and mounting holes. Rock auto says it was shipped too long ago. Bottom line Im out of luck.

Avoid like the plague.

I ordered and received a new AC Compressor for my Equinox. Unfortunately I mistook the year of the car. I returned the part in compliance with their return process and received credit within 3 days. They have an easy return process and issued the credit within the time frame they advertise. I'll forever be a customer of theirs as long as they keep up the good work.
Their prices were better than Advance and Auto Zone.
I highly recommend Rockauto

Customer service is non existent! Don't bother or waste your time. It would be a one sided communication full of inconsiderate replies full of excuses and no resolution. Don't ever take their "In Store Credit" unless you are 100% sure you will use it all. They have1,000 reasons and excuses.

Sent the wrong part and I am out of luck and out of cash. You can't even talk to anybody about it. I bought a starter to have on the shelf as a spare part. Six months later I went to open it and it was the wrong starter. Passed my return date and you can't even talk to anybody about it. Not trying to return it for any other reason then the wrong starter was sent. Never ordering online parts again because this is why you save money because once they sell it to you if it doesn't work or doesn't fit you are out and they don't care.
