If I could give no stars at all I would. A coworker suggested I give this website a try so I ordered a part for my moms car to get it running for her birthday this weekend. Paid extra to have it delivered and the part never showed. Customer service is absolute garbage and shipping is "not guaranteed" by this trash company. Yet they show shipping times and the prices and you get screwed since the "shipping isn't guaranteed" by them. Everywhere else has you pay extra and if items don't arrive they offer a refund for the shipping costs. When you email a "question" you get the run around and same thing repeated. The lack of customer service is not worth using this company. Will NEVER use Rock Auto again that's for sure. Definitely do research before ordering from this scam company.
Ordered parts Rick auto. First order. Dd 9/8/22. Took brakes off. As soon as I inquired about order online it was updated to 9/ 10/ 22. Brakes totally spart. Car on driveway expecting delivery tonight. Predicted to rain sat and sun. Noone to talk to. Last order..
Don't buy electric parts purchase a gas fuel pump with sender, removed tank to install and put all back together. Then found sender was no good had to remove tank and put old sender on new unit. Not worth saving a few dollars buying it on line because one the item was no good and had to do the job twice.
It is very very difficult to try to navigate through the website to do a return.
I ordered calipers for my 2002 Jeep evidently whatever moron ran the Jeep corporation that year decided two different times to change the caliper he was having installed on that model.
And RockAuto I found it during trying to return the calipers that some of the links to do the return don't even work
They will ALWAYS send the wrong part, no matter what the invoice says always check your order before you start working. They have 0 customer service and give 0 f*cks about you other than wanting your money. I only use them when I desperately need to and always have issues, with parts or returns or checking out or payments. They suck rocks. Be warned.
I purchased a radiator support for a ram pick up. It came broken. They would not return it because it was signed for as a delivery. They said it needed to be inspected before it was signed for. That literally can't happen every delivery. I was stuck with a broken $400 part they would not return. I would not buy there again.
Their website was great with pictures and a list of part numbers (and alternative numbers). The part arrived in the time specified and fit perfectly. This alternator was $100 less (even with the shipping) than the parts stores in my area.
I recently purchased a few parts for my jeep. The catalogue listed the parts they sent me as correct. Only one was. I returned the second part and had to pay the shipping when the part number did not match the one on the box. Their mistake not mine so I fail to see why I should pay shipping. Sometimes the cheapest is not always the best. I will stay local from now on. Rock auto has lost me as a customer.
Sent wrong part. Very difficult return process and only 30 days to do so. Tried returning part but had to go to library to print off. With covid and busy at work that was hard to do. Now im stuck with $180 loss and useless part. I will never use them again. Amazon is way easier.
I just finished reinstalling my old fuel pump because the new fuel pump I got from Rock Auto was defective. Had to have a tow back after the truck wouldn't stay lit. Result? Truck runs fine now, only reason I replaced the fuel pump was because I had the tank out due to tweakers stealing my fuel. Figured "I'll replace the pump while I'm at it." Why am I so angry? This is the SECOND time I've had to have a tow to have a part replaced new from Rock Auto. The first was a ignition coil. Figured I'd replace it after tweakers stole the truck and I was repairing/freshening it up. Of course I could return it for warranty and because Rock Auto values its customers they would split the shipping and send me a replacement. But why would I pay to do that again? The bright side: I've a nice access hatch in the bed of my rig now directly to the fuel bits and pieces. Unbelievable. I won't be using RA in the future. Let this be a warning to you, they've changed.
There is no customer service, after you find a service support email, and writing a derogatory email. Thats the only time they might respond to you!
I have been managing customer service for years! I have never seen such poor customer service. When they do contact you, it is a standard script, sorry we can't do that! They are all about their bottom line and do not care about their customer, the system is all automated and not customer friendly at all.
You order parts they come in rusty after you paid twice the value of the part in the shipping cost to do the job and then they want you to send it back after 3 to 5 business days of them receiving it then they will give you a refund and then you can re-order your part worst company I have ever dealt with do not do business with them
I ordered a 4 wheel brake kit from rock auto. After waiting 5 days for my order to arrive. I opened the box to find they only shipped 2 rotors to me. After 1 hr online trying to find a phone number, email address or someone to answer so questions. I was able to go thru a long process of answering some generic questions and after submitting the answers i was able to send an email. A person named jeff asked me to email pictures of box i had recd. A few hrs later he told me they made a mistake and that they are sending the rest of my order to me via regular mail. Another 5 days. I sent an email to jeff stating that they should at least overnight to me due to them making the mistake. I have not heard back from anyone it's been 2 days. They have no customer service to call if you have a problem. Good luck!
I have ordered over a few years, always no problem until now. The shocks I ordered were correct, but one shock box had been taped, when opening the bushings and washers were missing. I am very remote and not able to wait on other parts to be shipped, had to modify old parts to complete the job.
Very dissatisfied and disappointed in there quality control to make sure all parts shipped are complete.
Not sure if I will order anything else.
I was going to order $500 worth of parts for my vehicle I was all set and ready to order, but when I tried to complete my purchase they sent a message saying that they couldn't finalize the transaction because something with the taxes was messed up! Very aggravating and irritating, last time I ever try and use this joke of a site! Do yourself a favor and just go to another website or just buy the parts locally if possible
I got the wrong part they sent the money back to the wrong bank account that's been closed forever and now they can't do nothing about it they said just contact your bank and let them figure it out won't be buying nothing from these people again
I ordered a part from them using the part number from the original part. They sent me the wrong starter and now refuse to refund me for anything but the core charge. Terrible company. Do not buy anything from them. The dirty starter is the old one with a round electrical connector. The new one is a square connection.
I placed an order for brake pads and rotors. The package arrived late and incomplete. I received the rotors but no brake pads. I should've listened to my gut when I read their reviews. I tried to call them for support with no luck. If you are unfortunate enough to order from them you will have no support.
I ordered what I thought was the correct air filter for my car. When it arrived, it didn't fit. I tried to arrange a return and refund on their web site, but the process is very confusing. In my confusion, I accidentally pressed "yes" where I should have pressed "no" in answer to whether I installed the part on the car. This rendered the part non-refundable, with no way to correct my data entry error. I didn't install the part, I just checked to see if it fit. There's no customer service line to call to correct this problem. Now I'm stuck with a part I can't use and unable to get a refund.
Don't ever use this company. No customer service and No return on parts even when they claim to fit your car but do not. I'm now stuck with a $200 stabilizer bar that was suppose to fit my car but only fits the AWD version of my vehicle. With no customer service number I cant even yell at anyone. I cant send emails that get ignored.
